A barrel floating in the ocean will grow a seaweed farm. It would be easy to create rainforest sized algae farms mid ocean. The seaweed farms would photosynthesize, as well as the lifeforms themselves would be made of carbon.

Cheap. Proactive. Harmless.

Also mid ocean seaweed (algae) farms could be towed to countries in need for emergency food, fuel.

The earth is not a closed system and the minute amount of CO2, less than .04 of 1%, in our atmosphere has little to no effect of warming the planet. New research proves this. Whether or not using gasoline and coal causes global warming (by the way, look up greenhouse gasses) there is no dispute that we'll have to switch to alternative energies relatively quickly. At today's consumption rates (and factoring in global growth) we're out of gasoline in about 50-70 years. Natural gas is a bit longer (I think it's around 100 years or so) but they are finite resources, so eventually we'll have to switch.

Some places around the world are growing cooler because of changes in wind patterns and ocean currents due to WARMING else ware. Just took my family to the latest IMAX film Undersea 3D with Jim Carey narrating. The film, only 40 min., was great, however, I waited with baited breath for the "we are killing the world" plug and sure enough three times during the film Carey said we are killing the reefs the seals and some other species. They know that mostly children will see this film stooping so low as to indoctrinate their young minds. That's how they plan to win this war. Through young and gullable minds. Sound familiar?

Here is a glaring example of Liberal nitwit-ism. In Oregon for forty years the Greenies have done their best to shut down the Logging Industry but now they're changing gears because the Loggers, naturally having a profit motive, would replant the forests and keep it up. But too many industries have been shut down now and their land is being sold to developers. They are now begging the loggers to stay because the streams are shrinking and the Salmon diminishing due to malls and Golf Courses.

Also how about the fact that any stations form the 1800s that are still operating are now surrounded by urban areas!

If you look at SMALL TOWNS they have little change over the last century unlike large cities.

Global warming could just be urban heat islands over all the worlds reputable weather stations

Here is something they may have been doing to erase evidence of a warmer past. Very few weather stations are operational for more than 50 years.

For example..

Edmonton, Canada has never got over 35C(96F)

BUT that only goes back to the 50s

Older weather stations show that....

Temps hit around 38C(100F) in 1924, then again in 1937, and again in 1941. and there are even values like 36C(97F) even in the 1800s. SO why has it NOT hit 100F in these areas in 70 years after it hit 3 times in 20 years!

I'm a physicist and mathematician who knows that the science is settled, that beyond a shadow of doubt, global warming is not man-made. Solar variation is the most likely cause. I remember when environmentalists actually did good things, like boycott Kodak Corporation for polluting the rivers and lakes of New York.

Nah, the club is full. The people who made "An Inconvenient Truth", have taken up all the membership places. They certainly win the prize with more than 60 inaccuracies (aka lies) in one film. British high court banned this movie from being shown in public schools without a disclaimer from the teacher that it is politically biased and flawed.

As one of the scientists who signed the petition mentioned in the video, I can tell you that the science is a long way from settled. Besides, science is not a popularity contest, it's about facts. The fact is that the only consistent global warming "proof" comes from flawed computer models that can't even "predict" the past or present. Recently these models were used to forecast the demise of Emperor Penguins and Polar Bears. Actual observations show the exact opposite is occurring.
