hey. i got a gigaminx for christmas. I can solve a 5x5 but have never seen a megaminx or a gigaminx before now. i solve the 5x5 and this by layers, not by center faces first. in the 5x5, i would solve one side, then the other, then the middle. here i tried layer by layer. im using moves from the 5x5 but the only thing i cant do is. move the trapezoid shaped pieces, not the diamond or the triangle pieces. i tried the move to move the inner edges on the 5x5. it didnt work.
I recommend doing memyselfandpi's modification and putting sand in it. Then lube it and set the tensions, it will make it much, much better.
