@GhindaUcigasa Haha, no problem. Thanks for making these video tutorials, I'm planning on switching out Ubuntu for Kubuntu in a few hours and this looks like an awesome setup to use.
@TheReblyme Not all games. Just those that support OpenGl (counter-strike, warcraft III, world of warcraft, etc.) The others will run the same or slower (due to the fact they all run via WINE). Linux native games (like Nexuiz, Heroes of Newerth) will require less resources on linux than on windows.
@TheReblyme That's because you run it in emulated directx. To run it in OpenGL you must add "-opengl" to the command.
Example:
Right click the executable and go to properties. At the "command" section it will be something like "/home/username/games/counterstrike.exe". Edit this command to be "/home/username/games/counterstrike.exe -opengl". The path to your executable may differ.
@cooptruman41 click start button (kickoff) --> go to the program and right click it --> select send to desktop (or something similar) (you must have unlocked widgets) --> drag the icon on the panel near start button --> done.
Ba mie din pacate nu-mi merge nici un distro nou... 11.04 gnome nu, 11.04 kde nu... din cauza kernelului care e facut in bataie de joc si nu se pupa cu driverele ATI.
Asa ca am ramas la 10.04. Sper sa se schimbe ceva in 11.10, ceva major la capitolul drivere altfelcu parere de rau ma cac in el linux.
Tema asta arata demential... esti pe gnome acum ? sau tot KDE.

Din cate stiu eu, daca adaugi ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports la surse poti sa iti pui si pe 10.04 kde 4.6.4 . Ai putea incerca si daca merge ar insemna ca pe de o parte iti poti pastra stabilitatea lui 10.04 si poti si avea eleganta ultimului KDE. Spor! Pe forumul ubuntu Romania sunt logat ca iTheMaster. Cauta-mi postul de la pagina 75 pentru a -ti face o idee despre cum arata monitorul meu, desi acum am tema androbit si al wall
Chiar acum incerc sa-mi instalez 4.6.2 pe un al doilea HDD dar vad ca nu reusesc.Pe primul HDD am Ws7.Cand dau Start Kubuntu nu se intampla nimic,adica imi da un ecran cu niste linii de text si atata tot.Oare nu fac eu ceva bine?Frumoasa prezentarea.
@razvan43 Intra pe forumul ubuntu romania. Mai mult ca sigur problema ta este acolo deja rezolvata, dar daca nu, deschide tu un topic nou. De asemenea upgradeaza-ti OS la KDE 4.6.4. E mult mai stabil.
@tecnOtarded KDE 4.6.2 seems to be buggy and crashy. Thats the reason why i went back to ubuntu 10.10. In my opinion is the last good linux distro, cuz after installing it EVERYTHING works just fine (including wireless, flash on x64 system, etc.). And with AWN it just looks awesome... I guess I'll stay here for a while. I just wanted to show you guys that theme, that is why I made this video.
