@zZygoXx For a Wireless Controller you would need the receiver. I am supplying the link for the drivers. The PC's by default do not have a way of communicating with the controller, so they require an receiver.

This method I am present is for wired controllers.

@UnderlinedDesigns no it doesn't. the charger cable doesn't carry a signal it only charges the controller. u have to get a wireless adapter for your computer but honestly its not worth the trouble.

@MikeDole1 Have a look on the back of the game's case, if it does support the controller there should be an xbox 360 controller icon with,

"Supports Xbox 360 Controller for Windows", written underneath.

Alternatively you could use a keyboard-to-controller layout mod to adapt games without official support, like "Xpadder".

is the controller wired or wireless with charge wire. If u use the charge wire on a wireless controller it doesn't work

@atheros69 Open up xpadder and edit the controls, the controller has no default settings that make it act like a mouse, hope that helps : )

Seriously, it registers the button presses, just not as keyboard buttons.

Example: Go to Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare (or any other game), go to settings, go to "set keyboard commands" or wtv it may be, select action and when it says "press key know" press the button you want to work that action on the controller. It will appears as BUTTON_1 or something like that.

@D4682 What is happening is that the process iI have showed will help you find the drivers to install the controller, whether it be wired or without.

If your computer sees the controller, the games should recognize the fact there is a game controller.

I feel uncomfortable giving an inexperienced answer on your question. Upon my five minutes, of research I could only find people giving suggestions for kb emulators...more than that were people complaining of controllers vs mice/kb for fps games (I will stay out of the debate and say, use what you like).

More to the point if what i see is true, there is no official way to play bf3 with a controller (i could be wrong). I recommend using xpadder, or any other emulator.

Pardon me if i am incorrect, it was quite a while ago when i did this. But i believe at the time of my video they had only had Windows Vista drivers and not Windows 7 which worked fine for me. Windows Vista application and drivers usually work 9/10 times in 7.

I recommend downloading the Vista 64 Drivers and seeing if that works, if it doesn't try, the 32 drivers. If still nothing, try the XP drivers.

Please reply back with your situation regardless whether if you are successful or not.

u dont not have to add any additional software for the 360 pad assuming that u have the driver software for it you can play almost any game you want this is like the hard way of dooing it. When i bought mine all i had to do was install the drivers from the disc and bingo 80% of my games run fine with out having to download any addition crap like xpadder or anything else.

Xpadder is for using certain games that don''t have the ability to use gamepads. Some mmorpgs do not allow this ability and many would prefer to use game pads than WASD.

Xpadder registers certain keyboard strokes as buttons on your game pad.m  Instead of WASD you use your Dpad, or maybe even you control stick. Also by doing that you can even use your pad as a mouse. Or even use it for game emulators whose game controller plugins don't really work well.

Remember that Xpader is an optional.
