@TheSilverbudgie What a shame. I have done several swaps in several countries, made great friends and had unique experiences that wouldn't have been possible if staying in hotels. In my experience the home you are swapping will dictate the type of property you can attract to make a swap. Accidents do happen though, so leave clear instructions to your home and put away things that you really couldn't stand to lose. For families house swapping is a great alternative way to travel.
BEWARE pics look good but you are very unlikely to get such a nice home. also not all exchangers look after your home & you have no redress!!! after our last exchange in thornbury england it cost us over $600.00 to repair/replace - will never home exchange again!!!!
