@megamanrocks99 MLP: FiM is something of a tv show phenomena. For a childrens show, though the author made it so it could be enjoyed by all, it has gained an immense fanbase for being so young of a show.

There is actually a lot of reasons why it is not a normal kids show. The plot, the storyline, the character depth is all extremely well done for a show loosely targeted towards kids (all of what I listed is a lot better then most children shows. Better then Spongebob that is for sure).
