@dummtdumb Although you are correct, it is more of a cultural dislike of gays. In the Azeri culture, gays are seen as humiliating images. They WILL be respected, but probably not enjoyed. I personally am aware that there are a minority number of gays in Azerbaijan who are possibly not very appreciated.

Politics is staunchly secular and religion is tightly controlled so it doesn't become a threat. Baku should be a very Europeanized city..you wud not find women in hijab, lots of nightclubs, prostitutes and bars. The rural areas wud be more religious...so no worries. Politics is a dictatorship and only a small circle has most the country's money.

@MegaBrooklyn999 there is no any islamic regime. no one in Baku can tell you that you are christian and you cant stand here. there are lots of christian in Baku. it is one of the safest city in the world since 1994. If you come you will see the realism people very guestful and close to each other. I recommend you dont listen to haters. people s lifestyle 90% same as europe. of course there are negatives as every country.

@MegaBrooklyn999 yes the majority of the people are muslim but they're also entirely secular due to communism. Politics is staunchly secular and religion is tightly controlled so it doesn't become a threat. Baku should be a very Europeanized city..you wud not find women in hijab, lots of nightclubs, prostitutes and bars. The rural areas wud be more religious...so no worries. Politics is a dictatorship and only a small circle has most the country's money.

Video 2012-ci ildə Bakıda keçiriləcək Eurovisionla əlaqədar olaraq Bakıya həsr olunub, adı da Eurovision 2012 Baku..-dur,Eurovision 2012 - Vüqar yox)) videoda əsas yer şəhərimizin gözəlliklərinə, turistlərin diqqətini çəkən görməli yerlərinə verilməlidir :)
