  • i just stick with the stock one doesnt sound like a fart lmfao but nice gagt

  • @evilt2000 Thanks for the half compliment?

If that's what farting sounds like in your house then I fear for all of our lives. The stock muffler is way too restrictive thus why it is gone.

  • if anything, flowmasters make the 3400 sound like a ricer, but actual "fart cans" make it sound v8ish. :O weird.

  • @wilsob26 It is kind of strange, that. But hey I don't question. The sound will be changing soonish though because I am going to be getting a high flow cat and probably cutting off the resonator. Eventually I am going to get new headers as well.

  • nice fart cans them are awesome

  • @LFDFireFighter18 Thanks, I like them.

  • I was wondering if someone put that type of exhaust on a Grand Am because i'm trying to decide if I should go with the one like what you have or should i just go with something like a Flowmaster 80 on mine.

  • @chaseman94 It is really up to you. Different mufflers have different sound/tone and will perform differently. I personally didn't go with a cross flow style muffler so it would have one less area to go through before exiting the car since it would have to be mounted transversely behind the rear axel

  • this isnt a honda you know

  • @xFReSHeReST Fuck, thats been my problem the whole time! I could have sworn it was. Thank you for setting me right.

  • that sounds like complete shit

  • Dose that thing have the proper amount of back pressure? And can say I'd like a muffler that sounded like that unless I had 400 plus horsepower

  • what kind of mufflers do u have/ brand. do u have intake because i own a 2002 pontiac grand am gt to and i cant really find a lot

  • @swaggaXclan Hey sorry for a bit of a late reply, as stated many times in my comments, they are Generic performance mufflers with a 2.5" inlet and a 4" outlet, and the intake is still the stock Ram Air, but will be a cold air intake here within a few weeks

  • Fart cans on a Pontiac? Not right...

  • how does this sound anything like a fart can?

  • do u not see that fart cans don't match ur car?!?!?

  • If i say you on the road, i would laugh and hope you crash that pile...

  • Congratulations your car can fart!

  • @TheXScorp18 Congratulations, you contributed to my over 16,000 views on this video

  • so how does it sound in the summer?

  • @sweetsandman Gets a lot lower with more of a growl, though lately pretty groggy because I have some condensation build up in the lines so I am going to be drilling a drainage hole just after the cat here soon.

  • where did u get the perfromance exhaust on it i have a pontiac grand am but its a 2.4 liter and im trying to find the same perfromace exhaust?can u help me out and try to find the same one as u have

  • @whiteboy6118 I don't want to sound like a dick, because I am thrilled you want to work on your car, but I have been asked that question a LOT and answered it a LOT in my comments so please just read.

  • @CyberDude4819 ok i looked in your comments and i was wondering where you got them

  • @uniquedeath I got them from Checkers auto ( or what used to be checkers bought out by O'Rielys )

  • @lmcfalcon12 when your grand am catastrophically fails at highway speeds i hope you realize what a piece of shit it is as your body is skidding across the asphalt and your limbs are torn off by the flaming rusty hulk of metal that you call a car rolls over your pathetic corpse

  • really i agree witht the guy they sound ok but its a grand am man not a dam euro car

  • @lmcfalcon12 have you ever owned a ford? i've driven a car similar to the one in this shitty video and it was a money pit. there is so much wrong with these throw away sedans that GM made in the late 90's and early 2000's. so please either shut the fuck up or kill yourself as soon as possible.

  • Loud haha

  • nice vid, have any WOT runs?

  • @shiftyc10 I don't yet, no. I want to get some times down so as I work on it more I can see how it improves.

  • Really? Fart cans on a Pontiac? Please kill yourself.

  • @mousehunter311 Really? Kill myself? That's all you can come up with? Fail.

  • @CyberDude4819 no you really do need to kill yourself... your trying to be cool putting fart cans on a pontiac is really sad and cheap. Do yourself a favor and put a hooker exhaust on it.

  • @cyberhi04 Sorry to say this, but I know I am not cool and I don't think adding loud mufflers makes me look cool. I chose those mufflers based on simple mechanics: The less the exhaust has to go through, aka bends and a sideways muffler with a chamber, the better flow, lower pressure, higher horse power and better mpg I get. So do yourself a favor and learn a bit.

  • thats awesome. what do you got on for pipes?

  • Me I think a Grand am gt looks better with stock mufflers but yours not to bad bra.

  • pontiac: Poor Old Nigger Think's It's A Cadillac

  • @fordfever08 Heh, thats actually kinda funny. I hadn't heard that one before.

  • check out mine search bubbamoreno

  • how much for the diverter?

  • @ClayJNG however much the people charge you to make and install one since they usually don't have one sitting around, it is a custom made piece inside the pipe.

  • Where you get the mufflers? What kind? You have a resonator on this?

  • I got them from Checker's auto ( Recently bought out in Montana at least by...O'Mally's or something like that ) they are jus a generic brand performance muffler that cost me about $30 each with a 2.5" inlet and 4" outlet.. All that was done at install was removing the stock muffler, adding the pipe for the second muffler and building a diverter in the pipe to make sure the flow was even between the two mufflers, this cost a bit.

  • hey man what type of mufflers are these. size wise and what brand are they. pls reply

  • I got them from Checker's auto ( Recently bought out in Montana at least by...O'Mally's or something like that ) they are jus a generic brand performance muffler that cost me about $30 each with a 2.5" inlet and 4" outlet.. • now i put a muffler on mine cause i need the better mileage but i went with the cherry bomb turbo single exhaust

  • not even going to lie this sounds pretty good i realy hate rice sound but this doent sound like your honda civic this sounds like wrx sti good rice sound !!!

  • whats making that loud obnoxious noise? young girls these days.. have nothing better to do but put dildo's on the bottom of there cars

  • Wow, so this is what you do? You go around spending your time watching the videos and then leaving retarded comments that don't even make any sense? Strapping loud dildos to my car...yes. Bravo.

  • holy shit thats sound great!!!.. is it the stock engine?? and could u gimme some info on how u did that, how much it cost?? thanks

  • :( The grand am should never have coffee cans strapped to the underside... Not that I don't think coffee cans don't sound nice on a 240sx or celica etc. But the grand am is more of an aggressive car, needs more throat.

  • There full of shit im ase cert. it sound fuckin good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sounds like shit!!! burn that car

  • Thanks for the advice.

  • i almost thought it was a honda lol

  • ...Well that's....sure interesting.....

  • fart cans ftl

  • you making my day ftw

  • Why are you revving the engine like that when its cold?!!?!

  • cause hes a dumb ass

  • lmao

  • well I shure dont have all that fancy lernin you must have

  • .....well it should be pretty obvious.....its called a cold start for a reason....

  • I have a 3.4L V6 grand am gt ram air and i was wondering if you can buy magnaflow mufflers without getting the exhaust with it bcuz for the exhaust system its like a couple thousand. I just want the magnaflow mufflers cuz i already have tips. Anybody want to give me some advice?

  • wtf? just buy mufflers

  • yeah sell ur car

  • are those 2.5 in inlet mufflers and do u still have your cat and resenator still on? sounds quieter then my car

  • flowmasters give a very good sound to cars, but from what i've learned they are very restrictive. Go for magnaflow

  • what kinda of an exhaust is on there??

  • i miss mine i had to go from an 01 grandam to a 95 ford tauraus because the crankshaft busted

  • these sound much better than flow masters

  • V6 sounds better than a v8 same low rumbly sound and then in the high rpms you get that high race sound

v8 are just loud and rattle your windows....

  • How did you install these?

  • i love how people like to hate on guys who like to fix up a V6 car. its like now days you can only fix up a V8 and not get put down about it. theres nothing wrong with fixing up a V6. V6 cars sound just as sick as V8 cars do

  • Hey ,anybody hear a very pissed off bee?????

  • Hm, funny reference considering the general fear of bees that people have, and the fact that bees can kill....

  • NICE. Wut type of exshaust is that?

  • HAHAHAHAHhahahahHAHAHAAH OMG YOUR SO GAY!!! NICE JOB MAN COOL CAR

  • Yeah....yet your the one who actually took the time to spell out HAHAHAHahhaHAHA in my comments after watching my video. Very nice.

  • How did you connect these? did you just cut the other ones off and weld these ones on?

  • you sould of gone with flow master it sounds better and they wont say its a ricer cuz its not this car hase BALLS!!!! but its ok

  • Unfortunately I didn't have the money for the flow master :/ But oh well. I like them on my car enough and some day I will rip 'em out. I do have flow master on my Mustang so it evens out lol

  • canister style mufflers are proven to be less restrictive and more performance gains then older style mufflers (flowmaster style)

  • Yeah that is something I took into thought when buying those mufflers vs waiting till I had more money for flowmasters, I mentioned it in another one of my comments I think, because since the flow is going straight out vs running into a muffler, flowing around a bit then finding its way back out.

  • get rid of those "trash can" exhausts

  • Sure, you gonna provide the cash to do so?

  • rip the motherfuckers off. if you need money to do that, pull it out of your ass

  • I have a pair like these on my GTA 04 personally I like this exahaust the orignal exhuast looks like crap to me this is more sportier and def sounds better. I rather have a so called Ricer than a stock car...

  • sounds good but get rid of those fart cans

  • Thanks bro.

  • what kind of mufflers are those?... i see them all the time.

  • RICER!!!

  • Wow you are SO original. Too bad someone already used that comment. Fucking idiot.

  • do you even know what a ricer is?

  • "rice" cars are more efficient, better built, and go just as fast as any other car

  • yo dude, i actually like these alot, i also have an 01 gt. what kind of mufflers are these and where you get hem?

  • They are just some generic performance mufflers. 2.5" intake and 4" outlet. getting them on and with even flow can be difficult and may cost you a lot as there isn't much room in there and they will have to do some custom work and build a diverter to even the flow.

  • These are the best sounding exhaust system for the Grand Am I heard so far ,pretty much what a hush thrush muffler woul soun like.

  • Thanks, I really like the sound of them. I wish they weren't the big cans, but oh well. The sound more than makes up for the looks in my personal opinion.

  • As you see my d's were missing ,my laptop is in the shop for that, yea the sound is worth it,old guys like me we wouldn't mind big cans lol

  • wouldve been waaayy bettr with a camaro style flowmaster or magaflow.. and have fun with those straight pipes, i hope u get pulld ovr

  • As I have said COUNTLESS times now in other comments - the issue was money. I already dumped a lot into getting the pipes reworked to fit two mufflers so really to you and every other fucking idiot out there - READ! And I will have fun with my straight pipes, Thank you

  • Stop making excuses for the fart cans.

  • stop being a dick

  • they need to make a cheap muffler that can match the sound you get from thoughs things yea there gay but they sound mean

  • Agreed, though soon enough they will be gone and I will have a true dual exhaust running off the manifold.

  • that over rated it cost to much and it makes them run funny i have true duals on my silverado sooooooooo not worth it yea its nice to be able to say i have true duals but it is deff not worth the price just get i nice cat back system

  • I am actually going to do it myself. I have access to a lift, welder and pipe bender which I didn't before.

  • Fart mufflers on a GA GT? Save those for the ricers!

  • They were inexpensive and I had to pay a lot to get the custom piping done since the stock muffler line is only a single and not a true dual. Once I actually work under the hood I am going to rip them off and just put tips on and straight pipe it.

  • yes plz dont put cans on an american car, idk how much they were, i have a lot more to say but ill keep it to myself

  • Well I couldn't very well run around with no mufflers as that isn't street legal and would get me too much attention from cops and I didn't have the money to get a complete rework on them and I wasn't about to run around on the shit stock muffler, so I compromised.

  • nice car, nice mufflers- they sound awesome. my grand am sucks in the snow

  • Thanks, I like the result quite a lot.

Mine does alright in the snow, but I have pretty good tires on which helps a lot, not the standard slimline tires anymore but some actual tires that fit on the stock rims and it is like driving a whole different car, esp in the snow and ice like we are covered in currently.

  • The car looks great but why do people think these tips look good? Especially two of them

  • I didn't exactly say I love the way they look, but I do love the way they sound because of the bigger outlet and they were cheap for the cans. spent $190 for the pipe work. And there are 2 because A) the car is a GT so the rear end is designed to have two outlets and would look really stupid with 1 B) It evens out the car's general look from behind - makes it symmetrical. I am going to redo them when I have a reason to - when I turbo charge the car - till then these will do the trick just fine.

  • sounds hella nice

  • Thanks!

  • i like the sound but the tips are horrible. you need to put dual pipe exhaust tips on it

  • They were cheap, and I already spent $240 on the whole shabang, so I didn't really have the money to go higher. I am going to redo them when I actually have a reason t ( i.e. turbo charge the car )

  • sounds good check out mine

  • Pretty nice sounding. I wish mine had some of the higher tone that yours hits, but I am pretty happy with the growl mine has.

  • thats sikk say w.e u want! how did u do that...i wanna so something like that to my car too. are those magna flows if not wat are they and how much work did it take to put them in and how much did it cost. thanks man and look forward to hearing back

  • Hey sorry for the late reply, life sucks. Anyways no they aren't magnaflows they are just generic performance mufflers with a 2.5" inlet and a 4" outlet. They cost like $60 together but installing them was a bit more pricey because I could only find 1 place in town that would even think about trying it so it took a lot of custom piping. In the end I Spent around $240 total for everything. One important thing is to make sure they build a diverter on the Y split or else only one has flow.

  • YAY!!! American Rice way to fuck up something good.

  • Tell me, what was good about the stock muffler on that car? Fucking something up would be make it worse - not improve it. It is amazing to me that genetic misfires like you have nothing better to do than troll around flashing your ignorance like you were proud of it. So why don't you, and every other mongoid out there just try using that tiny cerebrum you have and think before you act.

  • uhhh. well the stock muffler didnt make the car sound like a japanese pice of shit like the mufflers that you have on it do. If you goin to mod an american make it sound like an american car. just cut them completley off, that would sound a hell of a lot better then that ricey ass muffler that you have on there, and i dont see how putting that on there improved anything about the car. I guess youre calling me stupid but i dont give a shit bc im still goin to make somethin of my life.

  • Odd, I haven't heard any Japanese cars with the low growl like my car. Unlike your little lawn mower you have. Plus the fact that you don't know how adding after market mufflers would improve anything just shows your lack of intelligence since it reduces back pressure in the exhaust lines increasing horse power and gas mileage. Now I am curious - where did 'making something of your life' come into play about any of this? If you act like half of the ass you do on here you are going no where fast.

  • sounds nice

  • Thanks

  • no offense. but that looks stupid as shit. fart cans + grand am = fail

  • Well that's your opinion. Good thing it is my car and not yours, then.

  • why put fart cans on a damn Pontiac

  • Because it is my car so I do what I want with it

  • What brand muffler did you use...... because im going with the flowmaster 80 series but i think yours sound better thanks

  • I actually jsut used generic non-brand name performance mufflers. Has 2.5" Inlet and 4" outlet. The sound is one of the main reasons I am glad I went with them vs the 80's. I personally think they open the exhaust up more since it isn;t traveling through a muffler and then being cycled around in the muffler and then being spit out the pipes. This way it is just going Engine - split w/ a diverter to even the flow to the pipes and then out. Running on the Shortest distance is a straight line thing

  • Yeah, that is quite apparent that you know things. Especially since you know that I added after market mufflers to the car reduce back pressure which increases millage and horse power and not because it 'makes it look cool and like I'm a racer all Fast the Furious style.' You're right. You're a fucking genius. How could I have ever gotten an impression other wise, I mean after all you're so open minded and mature.

  • RICE!!!!!!

  • RETARD!!!! Just proves you know nothing about cars or the english language since due to your improper usage of the word. After all my car isn't Japanese, or any other import. No 4cyl which is the more typical "Rice Burner" engine type. It hasn't even been done up to make it look more than it is.

    So yeah....your dumb.

  • actaually i do dumbshit.....but the fact the your adding "rice" products to your car and making it seem even more gay dosent help your situation......u may have a v6 but u still aint got balls.....

  • These mufflers arent that good they make it sound like a 4. There are better sounding and looking kits out there.

  • Which is your opinion. I like them better than anything I have seen or heard

  • TO his his own, but I bet alot of people would agree with me though and choose the more muscular sounding borlas and flowmasters.

  • i agree with u it sounds a bit ricey:S

  • I have an 04 GAGT with ram air and the hood scoops. I've been looking at the borla exhaust that basically looks like yours but a lil smaller in diamater. I'm more of fan of one pipe on each side and I dig the size that you have on your exhaust. What kind of exhaust is that exactly and do you have any site that you use to buy parts or whatever. I'm looking into a cai as well but not sure what one to get

  • Hey sorry I missed this comment of yours from 6 months ago ... unless I tried to reply and just sent you a message... either way The cans I have on my car are actually just generic non brand performance mufflers with 2.5" inlet and 4" outlet and cost me about $60 for both and then $190 for getting them on the car because it was a tight fit and they had to do a lot of squeezing. I will be redoing it in the end when I turbo charge.

  • Im curious, why didnt you get a flowmaster or magnaflow for your grand am gt?

  • I thought about it, but honestly I like the way these sound more than the flowmasters I have heard on these cars and they didn't have any magnaflows for my car so I went with these two.

Soon enough I am going to be ripping it all out and running new pipes myself.

  • Just a word of warning, if you run bigger pipes and delete the resonator and such, those same mufflers might become REALLY loud all of a sudden. thats what happened to me when i had glasspacks and i had to switch to a superturbo design to quite it down

  • Yeah that is what I have been told, which is why I am prob going to wait till I get my Turbo kit for it to rework the pipes. Thanks for the FYI though.

  • mo ur not the only one, ill sit around for ahwile listening to different exhaust sounds. i would like to get better exhaust for my 01 Grand Am GT. it comes with a good sound now, but i want something louder and with more of a growl. lol. i wanna do a few mods on the car but dont know what to do? nor do i wanna mess up the mpg either. suggestions?

  • Any performance exhaust system will give you a higher MPG and more horse power. Another thing to do is put on a cold are intake system. That will once again increase horsepower and MPG. I know the 01's come with Ram Air, but really what does that do besides nothin? Past that you are then going to tread into engine mods like a turbo set and such like that.

  • Oh, and if you REALLY go all out, chip your car's computer to remove all the limits it has placed on the engine and such and have it tuned to give you maximum power.

  • Hey Kyle, just replying to your question in the "About this video". NO you are not alone, I like watching and hearing car exhausts too. Your exhaust sounds a bit high pitch for my liking but still cool. GAGT's are nice cars.

  • Thank you for the comment, and yeah, when the pipes are cold, like they were, they are a bit higher. Once they warm up they get a bit more a growl to them than they already have. Plus they are still pretty low, 10" sub on my computer - goes nuts, especially compared to all the damn Honda's running around town *gag*

  • Did you check out my vids. I have a Silver Alero. Pretty much a cousin to your car. Im adding a couple more vids tonight.

  • I haven't yet, but I certainly will.

  • what brand and model mufflers are those??? It sounds very good!!!

  • Thats a good quesion, I knew at one point but it has been over a year. I will find out and reply again.

I will be picking one up to put on my parents Mini Van soon lol. Mainly just because no one does that around here.

  • Hey thanks for the video response!

  • But of course, your videos are rather entertaining :D
