Croooow Plays Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds (PS3)

Wow you got Total Victory on Level 8. That must have been really hard. I got Close victories on 8 and 9. I know in this game you have to finish first in everything do every course to unlock every club and things like that. This one you also have to get the loyalty level with each guy to the max to use those higher clubs. I am just wondering if you played this game further if you get total victories on the people does that matter in getting like an extra club or anything.

@Ileavecomments100 I don't think you get anything extra for a Total Victory over a Close Victory other than you get more loyalty points.

@Croooow111 Ok thanks. I just beat this game yesterday and man was it hard. The one thing I don't like about these games that are inteneded for kids is that they make this super hard. You noticed the Tiger Woods Golf that's intended for adults they make the game Super easy to like average and not harder than that. I know they won't do this if they make a Hot shots Golf out of bounds 2, is that I want to create a chracter put the stats at 100% and 2. Have Flop and punch shots.

This game does provide a challenge though. The new swing system I think depending what the situation is for example when you in the sand or something you tend to miss a lot more for some reason than if on the fair way also when you don't hit full power I have trouble with the system. it seems like it swings when it wants to. I am guessing there is something like 10 levels in this because you're missing 2 at level 9.

This game is good but I can't believe they made way fewer courses and the new shot advance system I really don't like it. You just have to guess and a lot of times you'll hit it perfectly then at other times you'll hit the ball late even when you press it early. It's really annoying to have a new feature that isn't good. They had 15 courses in hot shots golf 4 all they had to do was add 5 more courses to this one and make it 20. I just don't understand why they didn't.

@Ileavecomments100 This isn't one of my favorite Hot Shots Golf games either. I don't really like the Advance Shot System either, but at least most of the time you don't have to use it. If they included more courses in the game, then they couldn't sell them to you as DLC later. The thing I'm kind of disappointed about is that they took out the character customization options that were in the PSP versions.

@Croooow111 There is only 1 course availabe for download something called the Ocean course or something like that for $4.99. That's still way less courses than the previous ones. However you can get more characters. Yeah the advance shot system I really hate it you think it's an advatage hitting the ball further but really the traditional system you can spin the ball have more control stop it better and the putting is a lot easier so that's like 3-4.

@Ileavecomments100 There are 2 courses available for download. I don't remember the other one, but it's kind of funny because there are dinosaurs all over the course. I did download all for the extra characters and courses for this game because I got a PSN card as a gift and I really didn't know what content to buy at the time.

@Croooow111 Cool that you got a free PSN card and downloaded the extras for free. See that's one thing I don't like about the PS3 and 360 now. You have to pay to get extra features like courses and Characters etc. Last Generation with the PS2 and Xbox they gave you more content in the game. Example Hot shots Golf 4 They put more courses than they had in Part 3. I think this Hot shots is the worst in the series out of 3 & 4. I haven't played parts 1 & 2 are they good?

@TimDaBestest Hmm.. All I did was purchase and download the add-on content from the store and it then appeared in my game. Not sure where the issue is on your end.

@TimDaBestest Yeah I had that problem too with downloading the cat character I forget what he is called. You have to go online with the game select online and if your game is old it's going to take like 3 patches to download and it take about 40 min each thing so about 3hrs total. Once you can get online with your game and have downloaded the updates you will see them unlocked in your game and to unlock the music cd just play 1 course over again and it will register.

This game is amazing.

Anyway, croooow, there is also another game in the hot shots series, its called Hot Shots Tennis, which is a tennis game with the hot shots presentation. Its one of my favorite tennis games on the ps2 as well as the psp with a psp sequel titled HST get a grip. Have you ever played any one of them? I highly recommend both of those games if you like tennis.

@Tiamat583 I've know about the Tennis games, but I've actually not played them (even though I own the PS2 one). I'll probably try it out one day, but typically I like golf games more than tennis games.

Hey dude, the PSP versions of Hot Shots Golf let you customize your characters with various items. Does the PS3 version let you do the same thing?

@TheRealSimsMaster You can't customize your character like in the PSP games and I think it's pretty bizarre that you can't. They stuck with a typical character select where each character has certain outfits unlocked with loyalty, but it does suck it's not like the PSP versions.

@Gamingnight I have Outlaw Golf as well, but I've barely played it even though it looks pretty good. It always throws me off when a golf game doesn't have a three-click swing process.

Can I ask how you are capturing the PS3 footage? Is it via HDMI and what capture card do you have?

@MetalJesusRocks I'm using a Happauge HD PVR.  It doesn't accept HDMI inputs, but it does take component cables which can provide output up to 1080i. I use it to capture all my footage, and even though it can accept composite inputs, it usually can't handle it from video game systems because the signal isn't clean enough. So I have a DVD recorder that converts the composite signal into a component signals for most game systems. RF signals can get converted to composite through a VCR.

This game looks really fun lol I like the Tiger Woods games but its nice to play some more silly golf games too. Also to clear up some confusion when you are playing with a right handed player (as you are in this video), a hook (also known as a draw) is when the ball curves to the left, like this ) and a slice (also know as a fade) is when the ball curves to the right, like this ( lol anyways, good video, I'm enjoying these Croooow plays videos!

@cobradvs If you have a PS2, I would recommend checking out Hot Shots Golf 3 or Fore!. If you have a PSP, there are two Hot Shots Golf games on that. They are all very similar.
