  • I figured this song out by ear right off the record when I was in high school in the late '60's and I still love to play it. Amazing album and, yeh, it's hard to believe Clapton was so young when he recorded this song. Love this album.

  • this version and Stevie Ray Vaughan´s version rules great covers¿¿¡¿¿¿¿¿¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡nice men really nice

  • I want this so bad!

    I love cream

  • thanks for posting! I fuckin love this song! thanks again!

  • You're welcome, Jessev1968-san!!

  • Something most young guys seem to forget is that in the forty-some years that have passed since this album, Eric Clapton has been getting better at guitar. It's not as if you're practicing until your first album and then it's all downhill from there. He may play a different style, but he's much better now, technical-wise. I'd choose this over fuckin' "Change the World" any day, though.

  • @HCVS13 well you know, what good are chops if you never put them to good use right? luckily when he feels like it eric can still play some serious blues.

  • its so amazing that clapton was only 21 when he cut this. he sounds like an old blues veteran twice his age.

  • @mikexlong Indeed.

  • great album. One thing about the Beano. The publisher D C Thomson printed the Beano in my old town, Dundee, Scotland. As a kid I would buy it every week. It struck me that I was aged 6 when this album came out so there is a very good chance hat I was reading the very same edition that Eric was reading back then on the album cover! LOL!

  • god that album is so good. damn!

  • proof clapton does his best work in a group setting! and what, if i may ask, is so wrong with THAT?! better than all his awful SOLO records, right?! let the narrow-minded, vitriol spewing HATE FEST begin! (oh my goodness! i slandered GOD!)

  • @jteshuwah I kind of agree that his work with other groups are better, but solo he has done some great things. Tears in Heaven, helping popularizing reggae with I shot the Sheriff, wonderful tonight and others. but yes, in groups he has done many more amazing things

  • @FfCompHelpfF thanks! that's all i was trying to say. Clapton seems to work better as a team player! i'm not trying to take anything away from his solo work (although, i PERSONALLY don't like it all that much), i just like his collaborations with other artists, better! I Shot the Sheriff IS a cool song, i WILL agree to that! but it DOES seem a little bit anemic when compared to Marley's original, dontcha think! LOL

  • @RealityVersusEgo i never said Clapton's version of "i shot the sheriff" sucked! those are YOUR words! i also never imagined for a moment having that one song (which is completely outside his usual scope) representing his entire solo career! i happen to think Clapton's solo stuff isn't as good as his collaborations with other artists. i don't have to offer supporting evidence for an OPINION. i also wish more people would spend more time READING MY COMMENTS INSTEAD OF JUST SPEWING OUT POISON!

  • @jteshuwah the fuck you dont. you need to offer me some supporting evidence you filthy piece of camel shit.

  • @RealityVersusEgo oh PLEASE! i don't have to offer you anything! it's called an opinion, wise guy! if you don't know what that is there are free dictionary websites, just in case you need to look it up! clapton's gotten fat, old and lazy! he's been resting on his laurels for too many years now, and loud mouth groupies like you enable him to keep spewing out third rate crap! you're right! i shouldn't be dissing clapton! it's you blind syncophants that make it possible for him to be incompetent!

  • @jteshuwah lol and there it is. look man you need to chill the fuck out. clapton is like almost 70. what the fuck do you want from him? of course he isnt goiung to play with the same youth and rigor as he did when he was 20. the same excitement. i mean hell the guy is lucky to even be alive considering what he has gone through. lol calm down bro cut him a little slack lol.

  • @RealityVersusEgo age is just a number! robin trower's old, doc watson's old, bb king is slowing down, but he's pushing 80 and Robert Lockwood, Jr. kicked ass till he was pushing 90 and Honeyboy Edwards IS in his 90s and can STILL clean your ass out! naw, man, don't blame clapton's issues on his age! he just does better working with another person who makes him play his best! that's all! yeah, i'll chill out! doesn't matter, anyway! who cares! glad to see there's a human being on the other end!

  • awesome.

  • 2:05 is fucking ace

  • an just think they thought peter coudnt rate against this well then you should listen to the stumble both are very nice piecesof guitar prowess by the best

  • i like to judge people based on their talent and not what they were chosen to be, because to be honest with you, when your a 1/1,000,000 chance of being born anyway, why are some people discriminated against white asian native or black? we're all the same, why not discriminate against fucking baboons then...

  • i take for granted, yes, that white people stole the money making machine that become blues in the early 1960's, but now, at a time where racial discretion does NOT mean a loss or gain in finances, why is this still an issue? black people tried to make something new with rap, but then make it uncool for a white person to rap, eminem broke that. since white and black people in the entertainment industries make money based upon their exposure and not there skin colour anymore whats the point?

  • I've still got this album on cassette.....but recently updated with a CD....loved them!

  • White kids Blues.

  • @7305Rory oh no! white people are playing the blues now? what is this world coming to? i never thought a white person could do that... oh wait, what's that? you say color has nothing to do with a person's talent/ability to play music OR the emotion that they play it with? that's just absurd.

  • @daviddet sarcasm?

  • @goonyougoodthing completely and utterly. skin color has nothing to do with how well you play music. it's all about playing from the heart. it doesn't matter if you're black, white, green, pink, or blue. if you have the heart to play, then you can play the blues. and i know for sure that clapton plays from the heart. there's no way he couldn't.

  • @daviddet

You are a racist cunt. Any person of any race can achieve anything they want, Yes the blacks are generally better bluesmen and whites are usually smarter (you heard me) this doesn't affect the individual.

  • @Carthsgtr i'm really not sure where anything i've said has been racist, in fact, if you were paying attention, you'd notice that my two comments have been a shout out against racism. perhaps you could enlighten me?

  • @daviddet

I clicked the wrong person. Call it a "clicko" if you want.

  • @Carthsgtr Sir, are you intoxicated?

  • Thanks Otaku-san that you share such nice music *****

  • Domo arigato, Mehmet-san!!
