How did you like this bike. How long did you own it ?Did you have any trouble with it . Im asking cause theres an 82 ive been looking at with 9000 miles just wondering

@tnthead4 i bought this bike new in 83 and probably had it for 7 or 8 years and never had any problems with it..i did do alot of stuff to it but that was all for perf gains and not anything that needed to be fixed..great bike in my opinion! buying a used bike is like buying a used car , you never really know what its been through or how its been maintained?? just have to go look at it and ride it and use your best judgement... but yea mine was a great bike! 9000 miles is not to bad? good luck

That brings me memories. I had a brand new 1982 Spectre 1100 back then. So fast, very strong frame. The sound of the engine in hi rev. was electrifying. Men, i miss that byke.

yea dude i loved that bike...the sound of an ol kawasaki with an open kerker you can`t beat..so you had the one with the maroon on it? nice bikes...

it still has the drive shaft in this video..kawasaki makes a good driveshaft!!

where did you locate all the aftermarket parts i have the same bike and wouldnt mind juicing it up alittle but dennis kirk dont have much and i dont know many other places that have old kaw aftermarket parts who did the head work and the carb work and what was done

got all my parts from CPE in clinton,md except for the machine work myself. it had a 1294cc wiseco kit, z2 cams and 3 bolt adj sprokets,k&n filters,kerker header. i had the cylinder top cut for o-rings,upper case punched out for the piston skirt clearance, ported head myself and had to grind out the top of the head where the lobes were hitting..degreed the cams , took time to get the carbs/jetting right. i`d do an internet search for wiseco bore kits and cams

no it wasn`t stock...had a wiseco big bore kit and cam-motion cams and headwork, carbwork and that kerker pipe. was pretty fast for the early 80`s..ran in the 10`s
