Not sure how many of you listen to j. tillman's solo work (drummer/singer of this great band) but I did a cover of one of his songs, if anyone has nothing better to do, and that's really the only reason you should waste your time watching it, you might could give it a view and let me know what you think. Thanks a lot!
If you like band of horses/ midlake/ fleet foxes then you might like British band called FOSSIL COLLECTIVE. They have a great vid on youtube called ON & ON - check it out xx
A british band that you might like that are similar to Fleet Foxes are called The FOSSIL COLLECTIVE. Go and check out the video for On and On. Its very good. Bye Bye xx

These guys really have their tunes down. Those harmonies are tight. You hardly ever hear mistakes, which is amazing considering they're usually doing at least a 3-part harmony! I just can't say enough about their musicianship. Top-notch
i listened to these guys when i heard ragged wood and my buddy told me to go and check them out again... now i cant get enough of these guys. keep up the good work!
i was following the pack all swallowed in their coats with scarves of red tied around their throats to keep their little heads from falling in the snow and i turned round and there you go and micheal you would fall and turn the white snow red as strawberries in summertime
Hey, it's interesting to talk about influences! I hear CSN, the Beach Boys, Love... but yeah, I also hear the Moody Blues. I bought this record for my dad's birthday, and that's the first thing he said when he listened to it.
who cares what influence people had, what i want is good music, nice artistic effort making me appreciate all of musics wonder, a copy of a picasso is still a magnificient piece of art to my eyes...
About influences: Nobody ever admits it, but the shins, the decemberists, these guys, and all of the ones doing this are influenced by the moody blues.
Love these guys. They remind me a little bit of The Shins. Always happy to see new bands creatiing beautiful songs crafted in old school style. (Was happy to see these guys reference the band Love as an influence - GREAT!!)
Agree that there is a Shinny thing going on here, but then when I first heard the Shins I thought "hmm there's a Neutral Milk Hotel/GBV thing going on here". The torch gets passed on, thank Jah. This has taken over from "Time to Pretend" as my best song of '08.
This is by far the best new band of 2008. So good to see that young musicians go back to their roots (Brian Wilson, CSN&Y, Judee Sill, Steve Miller Band)and mix it with their own experiences into something new and exciting.

Its just camp fire music, lets all gather round and have a sing song kids!' Very very bland. Its a pity expected much much more from the hype, what a let down guys!
I think the studio recorded version of this song (from the album) does it more justice because the vocals are more echo-y and the sound is just overall airy. For me, that's why I love this song. That's not to say that they're bad live. I guess it just depends on the acoustics of the venue. If I get the chance I will definitely go see them live.
Missed them on the UK tour.Damn transport let down, living out in the sticks. This band restores a little faith. Nice when something poignant, heartfelt, soulful comes along... All too rare.A lot of respect.
That's how good Fleet Foxes is, lol. I took this video with a Canon PowerShot SD1000 at Schubas in Chicago earlier this year. I guess my camera has pretty good sound recording quality compared to its video capabilities. :)
dude...make the trip to the PNW...they are opening for Wilco in August 08 in Spokane, Boise and Utah. I mean, are you kidding me? they are only 21 yrs of age...great stuff to look forward to.
Just played this band on the jolly bbc (uk) last week and I was well impressed. Kinda reminds me of a band I might have missed about 1971.Keep up the good work Foxes. Look forward to seeing you in the uk soon.Glad to see music matters over on the west coast now.

Who cares about influences. It's just uplifting in its own right! Watch the animated version and Fred & Ginger. Great stuff

I have to say they sound best in a small venue. P4k just didn't give them justice.
I'd love to hear them serenade a small crowd without any microphones.
