  • That wasn't impressive. And also, I would've wrote New Mexico. Nebraska has sandhills, not dunes!

  • Misleading bullshit

  • 150,000 views. Word.

  • joon pahk made a week long streak

  • Some dude a couple weeks ago broke the record then broke it again with like 60 or 70 thousand something

  • I learned that Trebek is a homophobe. great. I mean, does anyone else remember that mustache? Totally gay.

  • Dan Pawson lucked into his TofC win in 2009 when Larissa Kelly missed a not too difficult Final J! on the second day of the final.

  • Roger Craig set the one day recordlast year with $77K. Andy Richter won $68K and probably would have set the one day record in his celeb game in Fall 2009, except that time ran out in the second round before he could find the other Daily Double.

  • i thought it said midwest pornography when i first saw it..

  • good score but ken jennings routinely got more than this. heck i remember him getting 75,000 one time.

  • @DMaster81 these 25K isn't really that high a score, it's not uncommon to have 20K winners since the dollar values doubled from a few years ago. and the 7k wager though brave, has been eclipsed Ken jennings wagered 10K once.

  • He's still pretty smart.

  • Fuck

  • hello ken jennings is better

  • You fail, this score is boring

  • What is Fuck you?

  • I want my 2 minutes and 48 seconds back.

  • this is not a good score

  • Ummm.... Ever hear of Ken Jennings?

  • title fail

  • Let me assume that's your daughter......Alright...well...you're wrong..and...

  • How totally unamazing

  • 2:48 --- >>>>8-D<<<<

  • type in john wall william and mary...so much better than this

  • worst video on youtube...nothing impressive about this 8 day total

  • easy fucking question at the end

  • Ken Jennings laughs at this fool's incompetence.

  • any1 catch the laugh at 0:49? doesn't sound that bright if u ask me

  • lol people to realize that ken jennings won 75,000 in one day

  • Ken Jennings won $50,000 or more ten times, with a high of $75,000. Jennings tipped the doorman $25,000..

  • Good you're wrong

  • "Let me assume that's your daughter." LOL Alex....homophobe much?

  • Woo, congrats dude. Guy's a genius. I wouldn't have gotten any of those ones :(

  • Tom Brokaw was a punk

  • Did anyone else find Trebek's comment homophobic?

  • ken jennings finds this man's performance adequate

  • i think the highest u can get is 844800

  • @punaniswabber Ken Jennings go $75,000

  • jeopardy no life?

  • i belive its smarter to find the double jeperdy first rather then at then end

  • It depends on the rules. If only one person has money (a necessity for this scenario), does that one person play the final round all by himself? If not, he can only win $283,200 (in the first 2 rounds). If so, they can double that to $566,400.

How'd you like to be the idiot smart enough to run the entire show like this, get to the final round, bet it all AND MISS IT?? That I'd like to see!!!

  • Yeah, a single contestant would get the chance to double their money.

  • Comment removed

  • I've calculated the highest possible one-day score in Jeopardy to be $422400, with one contestant answering all questions right, betting everything on the Daily Doubles, and getting the Daily Doubles on the $200 and $400s after getting all other questions in the round correct, and then getting the Final Jeopardy question correct.

How far off am I, if at all?

  • actually it's 566,400.

  • I redid the math and came up with 710400. Huh.

  • Assuming that the daily doubles are on the lowest denomination, assuming that you get the daily doubles at the very end, assuming that you do true daily doubles each and every time and assume that at the end, you risk everything and get every single question correct, the max amount one can win in one day with Jeopardy is 566,400.

    200+400+600+800+1000= 3,000 * 6 (categories) = 18,000

    18,000-200 (for daily double) = 17,800 * 2 (for daily double) = 35,200

  • @matthewm888888888888 17800*2= 35,600, off by 400 there man

  • Oh, sorry. No one's perfect :P

  • 400+800+1200+1600+2000= 6,000 * 6 (categories) = 36,000 - 800 (for 2 daily doubles) = 35,200 + 35,200 (previous earnings from round 1) = 70,800 * 2 (one daily double) = 141, 600 * 2 (for second daily double) = 283,200 * 2 (for final question) = 566,400

  • yea u hav to double the 35200 for the double jeopardy and the first round is only half of that.

  • Ken and Dan are too fucking smart

  • Ken Jennings had a single-day earning of $75,000. He played 75 games/episodes and amassed $2,522,700.

  • Ken Jennings, also got another $500,000 for his second place finish in the Ultimate Tournament of Champions.

  • ken jennings won over a mil dude

  • I believe 2.5 mil to be exact

  • relatively, obviously

  • Clearly the publisher of this video has never heard of Ken Jennings

  • After that second Daily Double, Dan faltered a little bit but still had the game a runaway.

  • :)

I live in Nebraska. Nice though.

  • nothing compared to ken...

  • thats not that amazing i clicked on this expecting him 150,000 in one game lol

  • Exactly.

  • The study of maps

  • actually cartography is the study of maps. topography is more of a study of the different levels of elevations in maps

  • yes, topography is the study of earth's land shapes/elevations/etc whereas cartography is the study and process of map-making

  • No, that's Cartography

  • the study of elevations

  • What rock have you been living under. Ken Jennings won 3.5 million & 75000 on one show.

  • man, ken won 40G like 40 days running...

  • Dan Pawson is 3rd right now in terms of winnings won by a champion. Here are the current rankings:

    Ken Jennings: $3,022,700

    David Madden: $440,400

    Dan Pawson: $421,902

    Celeste DiNucci: $334,602

    Larissa Kelly: $323,597

  • Wow, that stat by Animfan is why anyone saying Babe Ruth was the greatest athlete of all time is a dunce. When Ruth retired his numbers were about like KJennings. He had twice as many home runs as anyone else to play, he'd won 80 games as a pitcher and frankly, the gap between Ruth and the 2nd Greatest Athlete of all time is about the same as the gap between KJennings and Dave Madden.

  • Not so amazing, come on. Don't hype your vids. I make more in a day with my meth lab.

  • what so amazing about it ???

there is a player who earned over 2.5Mil over 72 days ? AND had 79,000$ in one day....

god, everyone today thinks he is a bigshot...

  • Ken Jennings, u a-hole.

  • coward wager!!! delet this vid

  • so all he won was 25k? get the fuck out of here

  • that blonde chick is hot...

  • i think she looks like a evil teacher... shes not hot anywhere, except under her trousers maybe

  • I'm so glad Dan beat that one woman in the ToC. She sounded like a really condescending person to me

  • Ken Jennings was a 74 day champion with 3million total...this guy is nothing compared to him.

  • Dan Pawson won the Tournament of Champions in Las Vegas for $250,000.

  • wooo i'm smart i knew the second daily double!

  • But Ken Jennings didn't throw the game.

  • As soon as Dan chuckled he covered up pretty good as if someone else did it

  • I remember seeing him on TV. His name was Dan Pawson. He went 9 days and then lost because he got the question wrong and the girl got it right, like Ken Jennings except Jennin gs threw the game.

  • If I remember correctly, Ken Jennings won $3,022,700 but I guess $151,000 isn't bad either xD

  • thats cause ken was on the show alot

  • that's because he always won XD

  • try2.5 million....but whos counting

  • After he won 2.5 million he came back for the tournament of champions and won another half million

  • also Ken won $75,000 in ONE show lol

  • Ken Jennings was more impressive but whatever

  • Ken Jennings was more impressive but whatever NOT

  • LOL 0:48 that laugh is fuckin hilarious

  • Look at the haters to the right lol they are pissed

  • he had an 8day which gave him a huge total because he won 8 competttions

  • HES THE JUGGERNAUT BITCH

  • I knew the answer to the Final Jeopardy question immediately, because I'm from Nebraska.

The sand dunes being referenced are the Sandhills.

  • lol at 2:34. hes an 8-D ay champion.

  • How did Dan end up at $22,500 in Final Jeopardy? I know he had $25,300, but what happened? xD

  • He probably lost some money by getting a couple questions wrong.

  • The judges changed their mind on his answer from a previous question and docked his points.

  • What is amazing about any of these scores? How about NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It was more the manner in which he got two double jeopardy in a row and won the final jeopardy question.

  • @foxvscnn borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring

  • What happened to Dan in his 8th day? xD

  • In his 8th and 9th games, he won. His 10th game was the one to which he lost. You'll see him in Las Vegas for the 2009 Tournament of Champions.

  • Nicole's $9,200 looks like a second place finish to me.

  • On the final question, closest competitor has $9,500 and he wagers $2,500 -_-

  • oops at :46 to :48

  • lol ken jennings got 75 k in one day

    pwnt

  • "And that says I love you...."

    "Gwyn!"

"Let me assume that's your daughter"

    "Yes"

    "Good!"

    ALEX HATES THE GAYS

  • ive seen better 2-day $60000

  • through all the arguing, did anyone notice how cute that girl was?? they're rarely seen on jeopardy.

  • gandiesel-

r u on dogfood??? dude wake up and smell the coffee, she aint fine

  • i said she was cute. i wouldn't kick it out.

  • 150k are you kidding? Ken owned this guy

  • I was taping his 10th game on "Jeopardy!" and it ended my 9-hour blank tape.

  • Also, at 0:48, someone laughs weirdly when the other "Daily Double" is revealed...LOL...

  • It was Dan himself, chuckling at his luck.

  • It was Dan himself, chuckling at his luck.

  • It was Dan himself, chuckling at his luck.

  • It was Dan himself, chuckling at his luck.

  • It was Dan himself, chuckling at his luck.

  • I remember watching Dan Pawson on "Jeopardy!" With being on the show for 10 days, he's the 3rd most consecutive appearances on the show...first is obviously Ken Jennings (75 days), then David Madden (20 days), and now him at 10 days...

  • Unlike Ken Jennings and David Madden, he was not carried over to next season.

  • Yeah, that also happened to Tom Walsh when he became an 8-day champion back in January 2004, along with other contestants since the change in the winning limits since 2003...

  • Unlike Ken Jennings and David Madden, he was not carried over to next season; by that I mean when Ken Jennings won his 38th game, he got carried to season 21. When David Madden won his 14th game, he got carried to season 22.

  • Yes, I know that...I'm just usin' examples like Dan, Tom, and some others that didn't get carried over to next season...

  • If you didn't watch yeaterday's show, Dan Pawson left as a 10-day champion with a total of $171,902

  • Correction: 9-day.

  • Oh, I still wanted to know whether you watch Wednesday program or not.

  • I did actually. J! Archive says 10-day.

I remember you saying that your dad used to work for Jeopardy! on the Andrew Rostan video. Was his last name Panno, by any chance?

  • And for some reason, I actually meant "J! Archive says 9-day", not 10-day.

  • Yes it was.

  • My dad was working at Jeopardy! when the Tournament of Champions were held in November. He was working at Jeopardy! during the 1988-89 year when they did the first College Tournament. The 1986-87 year was when they did the first Teen Tournament and Seniors Tournament. The people who won those first Tournaments were: Tom Cubbage, Michael Galvin and Zeke Sevilla, Jr.

  • I was adding the $1,000 he picked up for that third place finish in his 10th game.

  • If you didn't watch yesterday's show, Kristen Welsh became the new Jeopardy! show.

  • Dan Pawson lost on yesterday's show

  • At least you get to see him next season in the "Tournament of Champions"...

  • If you didn't watch yesterday's show, Kristen Welsh was the only person to get the correct response of "What is his ring?" to be the new Jeopardy! champion.
