I have a ipad2 and a 2 gen apple tv. When I watch movies and view pictures I have no issues. When I use the iPod function on the ipad2. The music is all choppy. What could be the problem? When I use my iphone4. I do not have this problem.

this is incredible! apple tv is quite impressive yet so simple at the same time. This is much better than having to plug in hard drives and storage disks to play on your TV's. Other companies have tried to connect computer media to tv but nothing as simple as this. Google and others will try to copy this technology.

@portalplayer I agree that the Apple TV has done the best job only integrating features that are fully baked and easy to use. Roku and Boxee are the others I have to give credit to. Google TV is a big mess right now and needs to be re-worked.

@MattDaft Are you asking if there is lag? Performance always depends on your WAN/LAN or the broadcasting computer so it's hard to say what you'll experience. In my case, lag crops up only with with video, while Audio is virtually seamless and lag is impercetable.

Hi @DetroitBOR. I have a 2 Wintel notebooks with my wifes itunes and my itunes. I tried remote and see I can play from notebook to notebook controlling it remotely. Do you know if Airplay on IOS 4.2 on the Ipad will be able to play content from itunes on the ipad? I know it can route to the Apple TV and there are other apps that do this.

Nice! Truth be told, I am too lazy to fire up and set up this app on my iPad, (wow that makes me sound bad) so this video was very informative. The app actually resembles the iTunes app on the desktop. I wish the scrubber bar was bigger though, that looked really hard to scrub through with that tiny bar.

@MSComputerVideos The iPad doesn't make a great remote controller, the iPod touch or iPhone 4 are better for this, but in the end I just use my Harmony One for most operations.

I think Apple missed a huge detail about their new Apple TV, no HDMI inpuit. One of the things I like about Google TV is that I don't need to change inputs. I wanted an Apple TV which I could plug the HDMI cable coming from my DVR and then connect the Apple TV to my LCD. So if my TV is on and I'm using my iPad to watch some YouTube video, all I gotta do is hit the AirPlay button; no need to grab the remote, press input several times and so on.

@vsaroca I think that's a key functional difference that will help Google TV suceed, but only Dish Network DVRs are currently compatible with Google TV. I'm going to wait for Google TV to be built into my set, I don't want another I/O box on my TV.
