i started to play the game without knowing the quality of the music.. later on i just stopped playing and started listening... only a few months later i finished the game lol all beautiful
I absolutely love how this track manages to make every different "instrument" tell their own little story, but in the end the entire track is one big story, so wonderful...
I love how everyone commenting on these soundtracks think they're fantastic by dissing games involving violence. You idiots. A game like Halo for example - has as much narrative and musical value as this game, it's just depicted in a different fashion. Pull your heads out of your asses and open your eyes.
This song and By the Wall are my absolute favorite songs in the whole game. Not to say that the other songs aren't amazing as well. I feel alive when I listen to this song.
@bokma7 Some of Ego Likeness's music is like that. Also: Blutengel, VNV Nation, KMFDM. You must understand that not ALL of their songs are like that, but there are certain ones.
Girmose1: (continues) but i do understand why u say that people need some musical experience to "feel" all that Dvorak is trying to "say" on he´s music. The robotik feeling is perfect, the note sequence is so simple and yet so sublime.. But its the middle notes and rythms that makes me wonder how could this album be better, it can´t! I have some experience in music, but i´m still lousy with software and manipulating sounds digitally u know.. really bad. but ill get there! :)
Girmose1:(continues from previous post) I´m a guitar player for yrs, now i´ve been deviating to the piano more, and to strange sound and music (use to listen Alternative Rock, and still do :)) I´m surprised with your comment about people liking the music, u may or may not believe but ive been showing dvoraks music to my friends and they all love it :)
@diogomorgado, yeah but they're your friends, so they probably have similar tastes to you ;-)
i mean people who listen to, like, country music exclusively, or rap, or oldies, etc, anyone who exclusively listens to the radio (ie bottom rung music) and tends to not understand that the majority of music, much less ALL good music, is not found on the radio. People who's worlds are very small, who's only window to the world seem to be through the tiny filter knows as the TV, and such.
@diogomorgado, yeah but they're your friends, so they probably have similar tastes to you ;-)

People who's worlds are very small, who's only window to the world seem to be through the tiny filter knows as the TV, and such.
Girmose1: lately i´ve been experimenting in new ways to make music, while doing that i found this gem.. First i was addicted to the game, then i learned it wasn´t the game i liked best.. the rest you already know.. Great music.. i listen to almost all kinds of music (except hip hop and commercial eating brain kinda music)
Girmoose1: I write music like this. I love songs that make me want to get out the fiddle and/or keyboards :-). Mostly I'm an animator/programmer and love to make image match music. :-) not to sound too "hippy dippy" but that's one of my favorite artforms!
Also, @girmoose1 —there are levels of harmony and tones which aren’t often heard except by those who listen to classical music a lot, as well, that’s a good thing!
The drawings, the universe, the ambiance of the game, the marvelous songs, and the fact that this game is not talking about violence and makes all of us dream is what makes me love it more than any other game I played.
@IceKeese When I say that and you perfeclty understand me, I mean that this game is like no other. It doesn't look like the shits coming out more and more these days like GTA or this kind of crap making you kill everybody in the place just for the fun.
Pardon the oddness of this message, but I have a question for you. (in three parts because of the 500 character limit)
What kinds of music do you listen to, and/or what are you favorite songs?
I’ll explain.
I’m a connoisseur of music so I find it hard to find great songs. Mr. Handagote, imo, is probably the most brilliant and beautiful song I could ever imagine being made, for many reasons, yet for reasons that, imo again, are too complex and
(continued from previous reply) require too much musical experience/exploration for most people to grasp, like the seemingly jarring and bizarre sounds Dvorak uses, whereas most people are only able to conceive that the only instruments songs can be made with are guitar, drums, piano, violin, and all those common ones. I’m amazed that other people can even listen to Handagote, much less like it, much less recognize it as incredible.
Just bought this game from the Humble Indie Bundle 2. What a truly unique and beautiful game. Definitely one of my favorite point and click adventure games next to Grim Fandango.
@EleKtryfier Yes, both Braid and God of War really roll with their music too (: Music in many of the popular genres of today is quite underrated, very underused. Too many almost completely silent FPS with the occasional generic action drums :l
i would make this game free and make a sequel to it. Sequel would be only available to thoose who completed this game and its price would be 10$. you know why ? because the ones you played this game would realise how good this game is. that's why they would support this game. and now some words to creators. I don't know what planet you are of but i know one thing. You are amazing at creating games. Music, atmosphere, characters.... i hope simple thank you will suffice.... thank you i love you
@Simas1990 I like what Amanita are doing now. Offering amnesty to piraters who can buy their game for 5 bucks now and get the soundtrack along with it. Sucks for people who bought it full price at 20 though. :/
@VoiceofReasonMonkey Probably some of those tards who thinks music should be epic (those overproduced orchestrated thingys or lousy deathmetal lovers, pick your genre and insert here[--]).
I stick to music that depicts emotions by sounds and no screaming.
@cronoschild Calling the epic orchestral scores "Overproduced orchestral" is an incredibly close minded attitude. I hate when people try to be unorthodox or nonconformist by expressing distaste in things that are popular. Music should be epic if a scene/scenario requires epicness. This game doesn't need epic music because it's an atmospheric experience. (orchestral music conveys emotions too)
I'll agree with you that metal is aweful though. ;)
Amazing track from an amazin game. And music... music is beautiful, cant tell which song is better... I left opened game for hours just to listen music, especially Mr. Handagote.

best song in the whole game, if not best song ive ever heard in any game lol, sucks those last few seconds of the song are mixed in for the next song.
specialy with my headset using Basboost, EAX, EQ, X-Fi CMSS-3D and X-Fi Crystalizer it sounds even better.
If I remember correctly this song is played where the robot who repairs the wires throws you off the ladder and the nasty owl steals one of the "keys" for the entrance :P. No spoiler! When I entered that "slide" I just had to stop because of the music. This is my favourite. Really charming game
one of the very few games i purchased, and guess what... the collectors edition including this wonderful soundtrack costed me half of other (much less inspiring and innovative) games available today =)
Alright! This was my favorite track in the game to listen to. Hehe, a dumb guy me got to listen to it quite a bit while solving the powerbox puzzle. It's such a good song, I didn't get sick of it by the time I finished! =)
When I heard that synth from the start I knew this is my new favourite track. Best track from the whole soundtrack and Mr. Dvorak is a fucking genius. 5/5 Stars, Fav'd, End of Story.
While I really like this song, it's not the best in my opinion. The Glasshouse With Butterfly is the one I like the most. So relaxing and heart warming in a way.
Wow. Never noticed this brilliant piece of music when I played through the game thing. Good thing the Indie Music Bundle brought me back!

My favourite song (though they're all wonderful).
Though I must wonder, what's a Handagote? :)

One of the best games and one of the best tracks in it, but it ain't matter really, all the tracks get along well with the surrounding in the game!
