and lastly Joey... or Lindsay... there is no 'should be' amount to the PS3's memory bandwidth but i'll give it to you guys this is one aspect where the 360 on average beats the PS3.. one of about one... where as it was, and i stress 'was' long to make games on the PS3 but because of its new and complex devkit + only one core isn't used.. the other 7 are, i presume you are aware the 360 has only 3 meaning in this respect the PS3 is potentially 2.3 times more powerful.

im an idiot? I've done my research a loong time ago and if you think the 360 is more powerful you're in the wrong line of words. Don't pick out gramatical errors just because you're losing an argument... i'm not 'going' to be mean or crude.. PS3 is more powerful and there are 8 cores one of which can't be used.. check out Killzone 2 - it uses only 60% of the SPU and it looks THAT good. This game 'isn't' actually on the 360.

I'm not losing any argument.. and you obviously have NOT done your research! Killzone is a great looking game, but nothing about it details an advantage over the 360. In reality, its quite inferior to the 360 with it's cores. However, graphically,the 360 has more powerful fillrate, and far more pixel and vertex processing horsepower. Part of the reason is their choice of memory, and architecture of pixel and vertex processing. Hence my very first comment. mem bandwidth.. I'm done replying...

almost half of that is true... PS3's cores are much more in quantity and quality in its call processor integrated in the console along with another important feature - blu-ray. Killzone's scale and environment is further than the 360 can go unfortuantely but although the 360 has more memory bandwith it has less pixels and far less disc capacity disabling alot of use of the 360's SPU and GPU (the 360 GPU is better than the PS3's on average)

but all in all the 360 isn't nearly as powerful trust me... i don't prefer either console at the moment i just don't like when people have been misguided. In fact show me a site where it says the 360 is more powerful.

ps3 is more powerful on paper, still game developers are still having trouble utilizing all of its cores for gaming. I'm sure the ps3 will outprocess the 360 in the long run, but for now i think 360 wins in terms of gaming. ps3 is more like an all-in-one entertainment station though, which is nice for many people. also if you look at the strands of fiber in both, ps3 has 8 and 360 has 6 for data transfers. although ps3 may seem to have an advantage, the 360 as of now is more efficient

yh i do think the 360 is winning at the moment but with games such as Killzone 2, Infamous, God of War 3, FFVXIII and Uncharted 2 which a site said in pre-alpha looks better than Killzone 2 (wow), by the end of this year the PS3 will be victor, hands down. IMO

also funny you 'enkei' should say that as it is only the ps3 which claims the least lag especially in shooters... but it aint better in terms of connection as it's largely dependant on your own. But if you support the xbox 360 do well to avoid comparing FPSs.
