you can do allot with limited stuff. I think from origin sampling (hiphop) is a form of making music done by people who probably don't have enough money to let musicians play for them. but also just the artistic karakter of sampling is what's attracting to it.

@pulsating123 You don't need lots of money and equipment to make music like his. It helps, but it is not vital. Read some interviews with Burial, he makes beautiful music on an old pc with a copy of soundforge.

@pulsating123 Don't get caught up in gear lust. He spins Four Tet in concert (or at least did back in the day). Read an interview about the "gear" Four Tet used to make wicked tracks and you'll be floored. At the end of the day it's about the tunes, not the gear. But you said this 2 years ago so I hope you're well on your way already. :)
