  • the background on 2:01 "i have unresolved plot points..." lol

these people are effn crazy... LMAO

  • Though I see the irony of my first lines I cannot help but say I might be wrong, thinking the comment section was made to comment on the actual VIDEO someone MADE and not use it for simple talkativeness or expressions of how sweeeeeeet one of the actors shown is OR failing to understand that this clip is IRONICAL. That only for e.g.

Now right to the point, but there is only one word to express what I think: ACENESS!! Oren, u rock, man! The day I 1st saw your page'll become holiday every year:P

  • yay. the middle class white supremist hegemonists got what they wanted. don't shed a tear for them.

  • IT'S OVER IT'S OVER..... and NOBODY WON

  • That's fucked up.

  • is that the pageant chick from ANTM that quit cuz she didn't want to get her hair cut another inch?

  • That's what I was going to say!

    Cassie? Pageant queen?

  • Writers don't get paid for the process of writing, they get paid for their finished product. WE, regular working folks, get paid for our labor. And because of the strike, we will not qualify for health benefits because we need work hours to be eligible. Thanks WGA. Writers have the luxury of writing anytime, but if you're truly striking you also should stop working/ writing. It's only fair.

  • This was pretty clever. I liked the last bit when the agents left. Good vid!

  • I support the strike, but I don't support the WGA. As long as this strike goes on, there will be more and more people turning to YouTube and other forms of media.

I think it's a great thing. Keep it up guys! There's a lot of young, hungry writers out there who aren't part of the WGA who will be more than happy to take your place.

  • How else do you propose the writers get a fair share of the internet money from the big studios? maybe they could just keep writing for free? Yea, strikes and protests are bad for the masses of ignorant viewers who will miss their new shows, boo-hoo.

  • Come together, pool their money and talent, and make their own studio.

Too much money? Take out a business loan. Too risky? If you don't have the guts to do it yourself, why should anyone else do it for you?

The studios are the ones taking the risk by fronting the money for the shows. If the show flops, do the writers have to pay their salaries back? No. So they shouldn't be griping if they don't get much when the show succeeds.

Their share is fair; it's proportional to their risk.

  • I AM WITH WRITERS WGA...

  • y dont u guys become freelance writers and that way you can deal with the bosses yourself or better y dont the studios and their overly paid lawers start writing for the shows themseves i cant wait to see the episode of the office writen by ben silverman

  • If your like every writer I know, you are spending a lot of their striking free time writing new projects. After the last strike, there was such a tremendous wave of new material, it showed you guys are actually writing your asses off and tremendous hypocrites. As crew members we don't have the luxury of continuing to work during a strike that shuts down our show. Thanks you lousy, "aren't we clever" writers.

  • Ha ha ha, People need to realise how enslaved they are by TV, Television is to the capitalist society what church was to the fuedal societies, just an opiate, there to avert our eyes from the shit arround us.

  • These arrogant little pissants would scream bloody murder if someone complained about the crap that they put out on one of their shows, claiming that individual liberty ensures that they can spew any vile garbage they want. Yet isn't it amazing that the producers don't have individual liberties? They are a huge pile of...

  • Brilliant!

  • Thats what they're about to do to Jay Leno for writting a few jokes for his tv show.

    They're playin mafia

  • ...someone had to write this.

  • So stupid. Good message, but in this case, the writers don't think to much...

Support the cause... if you promise to write much more better...

Well. Support the cause in anyway.

  • I WOULD SACK ALL U LAZY BASTARDS!!!

  • Up until the title card at the end, I thought this was an anti-WGA video. Is this a case of the writer not liking his own message and thus having to correct himself with a post-script?

  • It's called humor! Obviously comedy and wit are not your strengths...

  • But the humor skewers the WGA, not the producers. If you ignore that this was written by a striking writer with the same goals as the WGA and just look at the movie itself, it is nothing but a mockery of the WGA. I just think it's interesting that the best film I've seen to come out of this strike makes fun of the WGA instead of the producers. Even if it assures us at the end that it's pro-WGA with that title card.

  • Sense of humor not your thing, Mr. Southan?

  • I totally agree with what you're saying. I thought this was an anti-union statemnt. It just didnt work for me.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • PERKYP RED ALERT: A group of citizens lead by PINKIE DUQUESNE are showing their support of the Writers Strike by organizing a Readers Strike. DR. JR reporting from the Heart of West LA.

  • Awesome!

written by a writer on strike ;) that was good.

  • Wow! This is awesome! I love it! he he... some writers working?... ;);)

  • PRAYER FOR AMERICA....the Controversial Video from Mysterious CATMAN COHEN

"Some things just don't make sense anymore: if society pays a young songwriter royalties on a single creation until the day he dies, then why not pay a fireman equivalent royalties in perpetuity for his own 'act of art,' namely the extinguishment of a single, major fire in which many lives

    are saved?"

  • Ummm... because firefighters don't have to compete with thousands of other firefighters, repeatedly going from station to station, trying to get a meeting with the chief, showing clips of other fires they've fought, for the chance to put out a fire, one fire at a time...and more importantly a firefighter doesn't get paid per fire.

  • i love it! check out cntalkshow's writers strike vid from new york! youtube/cntalkshow

  • WGA Strike Log - Day 2 is the best video!!!

  • It would have been great if they had an ad or two before or during this piece.

  • This video sponsored by Apple computers(tm)

  • Exactly, If a writer proves himself then how is he going to make more money if there are no residuals?

  • Why don't you follow your own advice because the studios now aren't being fair to all writers, experienced or green-eyed.

  • Make it a series, please.

  • haha. funny. I thought i recognized that Barista from top model! Great to see her again! go Cassandra!!

  • I recognized her too. She's a pretty good actress surprisingly.

  • That one cop looks like Jesus! :-)

  • Great work -- especially those actors working on the butterscotch script. Those guys have a future. Great directing. Congrats to the anonymous writer.

  • 9reat stuff

  • lmao. good show.

  • Go WGA!!!

  • Oren--this is great!! What a beautiful example of a peaceful protest.

  • FUN. I just can't get enough of that there Rothman, man.

  • What a shame.

  • Can't stop watching it!

  • AWESOME VIDEO GUYS!!! Love it!

  • absolutely love it!

  • that was great.

  • I LOVE WRITERS!!! Give em what they want!

  • Brilliant.

Bonus points for effective use of high voltage.

  • I especially love the tall brunette - she is Hot!

  • I would love to comment but that involves wri... damn I did it again. AWESOME!

  • Funny. But that's not a tazer; it's a stun gun. Oh, and Jules rocks.

  • Oren, everything you do is fucking great. Duh.

  • Brilliant, sir. Just brilliant.

  • HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!!!!

  • Great Job! I love it!

My favorite line is "I have unresolved plot points."

And the girl from America's Next Top Model is cool. And so is the laptop girl.

  • Thanks! I like them too.

  • Well done, guys!!!

  • This is brilliant... but, uh... who wrote this?

  • It wasn't written... it was scribed. I think that's okay.

  • Wow... this says alot...

  • Yes! End the Strike! Great work, guys! I am very intimidated by the WG coppers. They look tough.

  • Why Moritz and Silver? Are they supporting scabs?

  • Not at all. We were improvising and it just came out. We actually dig those guys. And, does anyone really know how to pronounce Moritz? I don't even think he does.

  • That was awesome. Loved the ending!

"Brads! You've got Brads?! What's a producer doing with Brads in his pocket?"

  • So clever!

  • The team with the mostest. Will be forwarding this to some of my favorite strikers! x

  • You guys know funny. Loved the line "I have a subprime mortgage!"

  • Great job, guys! I shouldn't even be typing this with the strike going on, but don't tell anyone.

  • I didn't believe in Magic...til I saw this video.

Thank you Oren (and Chris Angel) for making me believe!

  • Another video about police brutality. Terrible.

  • Someone's gotta reveal the truth.

  • awesojme job oren + seth!

  • + avi

  • That ending is classic.

  • Dear lord, this is idiotic. Production values are okay, but the message sucks. "Producers, step up, so no scabs are injured." I was at the WGA/SAG thing yesterday and it wasn't about networking; it was about solidarity. Guess that wouldn't make a funny enough YouTube short, though.

My comment will likely be buried among the sycophantic fake positive reviews posted by your friends.

  • Any mention of Butterscotch is a good thing.

  • hahahah - great job Seth!

  • So clever!!

  • So Funny! Very smart.

  • This is FANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNTASTIC!!!!!!

  • Hilarious!!!

  • Hilarious!

  • I love this! great job !

  • this take is a hell of a lot better than the tales I've heard from the front: actors networking w/picketing writers (& their kin) for future roles!!!

  • That is hilarious! Great work guys!! Hahahah!

  • I had no idea this type of enforcement was going on!
