  • love the work here

  • can it engrave porn?

  • Huh.. Pentax lenses in those cameras?

  • Schon in weniger als 20 Jahren werden Computer doppelt so leistungsstark, 10.000x so groß und so unglaublich teuer sein, dass nur die reichsten Könige Europas sie sich leisten können!

  • @ndrakey So ein Spinner.

  • tech is cool bitch is annoying

  • @Marspyramids commas are your friend.

  • I have no idea how this works, but maybe if the refresh rate were fast enough, it could laser a liquid that would return to clear allowing a moving 3d image. Just an idea.

  • I got a 3d cube of me and my woman and it is great and may last thousands of years unlike photos or flash NAND !

  • 2007

  • Holy shitting dick nipples, they had this tech back in 07??? i thought these vids were new

  • Chuck Norris can make engravings out of ANYTHING

  • 0:17-0:25 Harry Potter

  • wow i looked up MW2 Montages and ended up here XD

  • @ShadowDawwwn mw2 is for kids... bfbc2 is better. play that.... or better yet, we dont want kids playing bc2 so continue the retard games

  • @randrewm97 THis is actually a backup account, and im 13 So... im not a kid.

  • @ShadowDawwwn 13.. your definetley still a kid son

  • I WANT MY ASS ENGRAVED IN GLASS!!!

  • There were some guys doing this in a shopping center on the Gold Coast, QLD.

    Amazing stuff.

  • One last post. If you found this technology impressive, here are a couple things to wrap your neurons around.

    watch?v=ndc541JdsYk&feature=BF&list=PL7448D4344FF5475A&index=1

that should pop up my playlist for you all.

I have to pass out the url rather than letting people see it in my playlists(Pleas fix this soon youtube).

    Oh well.

So, I was a surveyor after I was a non-destructive inspector, so thats one reason I know about this gear.

    /shrug

    Enjoy.

  • Wow, Sorry... I kind of blew up the page... lol.

  • Great! =)

  • three deeu ellu maxu high speedtu devicu

  • Why would you want to spend a forturne just to have something with your face in it? Its called a mirror ;]

  • My dad has one of those of himself

  • Cool lets make 3d cubes engraved with shit and people (or both) that I don't care about.

  • why do they put these in cubes? Since it's 3D wouldn't it look better in cylinder or sphere?

  • @lifehackertips I think the mentality of "mass production"(Even if this all custom.) guides that. They are not looking to make the best quality object for a client. There Is probably internal geometry Reflect/refract issues in there too(Search: ultrasonic inspections and Prisms to get a good idea about what i mean.), but math would solve that easy enough. I'm guessing it's reserved for the rich(or obsessive), while the merely privileged have this to look forward to. Kinda like HQ Paper or ink.

  • I am still waiting for 3Dtv without the use of clunky glasses!

  • @Creationcreed they already exist

  • @ZombieKillzoneOps Where? What? What are they called?

  • @Creationcreed i think tochiba has one but they cost like thousonds of dollars

  • could this also be a new way of getting a tattoo,.i mean, this is just perfectly sharp, its awesome!

  • :D

  • Regular commenters, trolls, spammers, haters, thumb whores....

    That's Youtube.

  • @fernandopox Yeah, I roll a D6(oops, six sided die) to find out which I'm going to be, each time I reply on You-tube. Sometimes I get lucky and I get the sixth option which states: "Re-roll 2 times and add the results.". At least it keeps things interesting if I want to make a point.

    XD

  • @fernandopox You're a thumb whore!

And I'm a hater... That actually proves your point

  • Those things have pretty sharp edges if you let them fall down, I almost cut my finger off once. XD

  • am i only one who hears "diging for news" ???

  • They have these in Disneyland Paris, inside the castle in the room with the glass sculpter.

  • @LilStinkyDude3 Do you mean Sculpture, or Sculptor? (PS, I'm not being petty, I just don't get it.)

  • @nazaxprime Yeah, sculptor.

I just randomly found this 6 minutes after you replied to a comment from 4 months ago. =P

  • i love how he says 3D

  • I agree with 4tun, picture a full wall, tiled with these cubes, and the entire wall is one massive 3d image.... an 8' company logo, or a scenery, etc.... the mind is the limit

  • @jhamana I miss my HD projector... And my 30" Engineering monitor... and, and, and.

    FML

    ;)

  • LOL @ 1:38

    "ADVERTISE HERE

    WITH DIGITIZED INFORMATION"

  • ...fuckin asians

  • @ThunderMonkeyEnabled HA WOT U YANK?!

  • Always Japanese people invent stuff...

  • lol i have on of these it was a gift from a drink!

  • this is sick.

  • holy jesus monkey scrotem.... i gotta smash 1 of those

  • @w33ddr3am

To be sure there are nothing in?XD

  • @w33ddr3am I'm sure if you wanted holy jesus and a monkey scrotum in a 3D cube you could get one made

  • @ExploringBeyond i wish!

  • super ,neic

  • 0:30 AH ITS AWFUL CHANGE IT BACK TO THE UNICORN PLZ

  • Remember I was here.Thai

  • This is so cool. I would let them do my head.

  • I wonder if we ever have the technology to make these things to have moving pictures. That would be so miracle like. Box with moving picture inside....

  • @SpecklePattern A TV?

  • @atm43 A TV you say? What is that? Is that something better than a still picture in a cube? I doubt it. ;-)

  • @SpecklePattern Hahaha. Yes! They exist! It's a moving picture in a near paper thin box!

  • have such a Crystal with my face at home :D

  • i want the harry potter one lol

  • So, they are recording data on crystal. I wonder isf this can be used for something like computer data storage, movie storage.

  • Actually similar technology is being explored for computer data, to replace blu-ray... if you search wikipedia for "3d optical data storage" you should be able to find it

  • @veggiet2009 Thank you very much, this stuff fascinates me.

  • Matt Groening visualized this on futurama!

  • isn't this from russia?

i don't think the japanese made this.

  • Sounds like japanese are saying so many things but in fact they really don't say much lol

    I want to learn it!

  • thats heaps cool, i want to get one as a gift for someone

  • ibm already has 300ghz crystal computer.

  • @islamic1allah

ENGLISH, MOTHERFUCKER! DO YOU SPEAK IT?!

    @everyone else

meh, i want that kind if crystal thingy... LOL

  • I want to make one with my girlf, when i got a girlf myself :P

  • very usefull it could be use for engrave pc components on cheap material

  • Ok ! That's it , am going to buy one for myself !

  • you are so arrogant. Dear God...

  • Now use that idea in crystal bricks for a wall or tiles for a floor and make an interior 3D texture. That would be a more commercial application than a 3D David Beckham

  • @4tun8one2 How 'bout an interior application with David Beckham's face all over the house?

  • @4tun8one2 haha, ya it will be a poster for the rich, haha, i can see it now, some rich kid getting a life size nude of some model laser engraved haha. or you know for those self ego celeb, have a life size engraving at the front entrance to their house.

  • Amazing level of detail!

  • in the next 20 years you will have a bigger cube like that in front of your couch with moving picture, you will call it a tv. . .

  • @chrisinmainz dude this video was in 2007,they already have tvs and bluray...look at the end it shows the date.

  • @chrisinmainz in 30 years time we will have usb 4.0 plug in the back of our heads, we'll be able to access music tv movies books :)

  • @chrisinmainz Not possible. The image is literally burned into the crystal. It cannot be altered or removed.

  • @pastooleo1 That would be a simple enough fix in theory.

Change the material properties of the matrix to something that degrades, at a Hz rate. I'm thinking a Gelatin or biomass of that can either regenerate or decay. Ultimately, photons in regular atmosphere would be the end goal. That said, controlling the photon and how we sense one is the crux, rather than the matrix it resolves in. In the end, tricking neurons will be the real VR environment. Not too coincidentally, like in "The Matrix".

  • @pastooleo1 Now, if only I could get grants and scientists to test and prove my ideas... while I retain credit.

Not that that I haven't capitalized on others work. I'm a radiographer, thanks to Mr. Roentgen and Madam Curie.

I'm no "rich kid", but I did get certified, just not by paying Universities EXORBITANT costs.

One day I'll have Dr. title. Or not.

I hate "assignments", and pointless math.

I'll probably go back to sea and just make money to support a child so it can be a smarty pants...

    OQ

  • @chrisinmainz too bulky, tricking the eye with 3d like the 3ds is more affordable.

  • @chrisinmainz

    i doubt it

  • @chrisinmainz

    i doubt it

  • @chrisinmainz That cube is called your living room..

  • @chrisinmainz I think that cube is just going to be anywhere your lights shine in your house. We are doing some amazing things with quantum computing right now... I think how we controlling what we see is soon going to be very different in the near future.

Imagine an anti-proton, and I don't mean a negatron (p-bar) but rather a regular proton, that is darkness, not a different color, but actually a photon that obstructs vision... too bad youtube has word budgeting. I may have explained better.

  • @nazaxprime make a video response

  • @copperjarhead A fine point... thanks.

I doubt I will post a vid to youtube thanks to the creepers(and the fact that Im not Stephen Hawking...).

    ;)

On a side note, I was looking into the "Ball lightning" phenomena, and I think that may be a key to unlocking floating point projections...

I thought It was interesting and I almost instantly thought to apply the basic idea(no one knows whats up with the stuff as far as I could find.) to this "proposed tech". I'ts an interesting thing to think about.

  • @nazaxprime no prob, if you dont wanna do a vid, then type a blog. this stuff seems pretty interesting, and i think people would enjoy it, and at the most be inspired to maybe further look into applying it.

  • @chrisinmainz How would it work as a tv? I thought it created an engraving

  • @chrisinmainz No, no you won't because crystal engraving will not be able to handle the same level of frames per second as a high definition television broadcast or by running off of a high definition DVD.

  • @chrisinmainz yes and the block will be replaced by a new one every 30 seconds!

  • I think Japanese are literally the smartest people on Earth.

  • Well if you take a somewhat controversial IQ average list then South Koreans are the smartest followed by Japan, Taiwan and Singapore. After that a lot of Western European nations, with my own (Sweden) at 9th place. However I do believe that Asians are far more technically prone than the rest. From my own perspective Europeans likes to think more about the issues of life and such, although there are exceptions in both :)

  • Comment removed

  • well the IQ average is much lower down under than Europe also transport and road are 100 years behind what a joke my country is

  • i agree that japan produces very advanced products but most of them are not that smart....but the smart ones are really smart,

  • Americans are dumb..................but the dumb ones are really dumb. When it comes to spending billions of dollars on a war you can't win; Americans are pretty smart.........M-16, anybody?

  • All ethnicities share the same equivalent of I.Q. their are certain evaluating factors when it comes to intelligence it has to do with mental capacity to be able to retain information, yes, but Asians are not more intelligent than any other race if you believe this you are ignorant to the simple fact that when it comes to learning, Asians especially the Japanese and South Koreans emphasize strict ethics in academics at a young age and instill to the children that failure is not an option.

  • Are they smart enough not to buy into racial stereotypes?

    -jcr

  • sweeeeet

  • wow deberiamos entender y tratar de imitar muchas costumbres japonesas

  • translation anyone?

  • For 30 euro you can get a small one in The Netherlands, Amsterdam, madam tussaud.

Its cool i have one. ^^

  • wow, incredible jap tech

  • Erhmm... is this guy japanese!? :D

  • Japanese overkill !!!!

  • this is the coolest thing i've ever seen! well, not really, but it's still pretty sweet. i probably have a better chance of kicking godzilla's ass than ever affording one, but it's fun to dream....

  • i want one of myself..

  • i have so 1 from myself its very expensive but cool never fade out.

  • for some reason im thinking cloning

  • ME I WILL MAKE YOU BY USING MY LASER GUN

  • lol thay put faces of every 1 on the example

  • Can't u get this at walmart lol?

  • I think you can actually

  • Wow!

  • Wow! :)cool!

  • i wonder what happens if u put a lazer throught the lazer maybe it messes it up ^^

  • maybe that's how it heats up and creates the bubbles in the glass o.o

  • wow

wish i could do that with a laser pointer

    :P

  • wow very very cool!

  • how the hell does it end up INSIDE? wouldnt a lazer ingraver etch the outside?

    very cool

  • I think 2 laser beams are positioned @ diagonal corners of a block of crystal. The engraver inputs the height, width & depth. The software calculates where the 2 beams must INTERSECT inside the crystal to produce the etching of a 3D image.

    I think that's how it's done....wouldn't be the 1st time I was wrong....nor the last!

  • This explanation is true :)

  • you take two lazers. you shine them through the glass. when they intersect they heat up and melt the part they intersected. melting the inside of the glass. causing an etch.

  • Which is the principle in future storage technology too. Proof of concept, I would say.

  • it just lasers at the focal length, were all beams reunion, and that's INSIDE

  • its magic :D

  • amazing!

  • Very good, please sent me office site for laser masine !

    Thanks

  • very nice

  • nice

  • sure!
