  • KotOR was awesome. I really miss that game.

  • Played it so many times, and I'm amazed at how emotionally invested I get in it every time. Did a play-through last week after unpacking in my new apartment, hadn't been played in something like 4 or 5 years. I still feel bewildered every time the revelation comes up, and upset when I have to fight Bastila.

  • next year it will be 10 years. 10. fucking. years. the only thing comparable since - kotor 2 which is equally awesome.

  • @ka4estvo mass effect is excellent as hell as well.

  • i've heard a copple of themes from the kotor soundtrack in swtor. But never this one (wich was one of the only ones i realy wanted). Any idea if this one is in the game?

  • I've played through this game more times than i care to mention. Easily one of the best games mankind has created.

  • Shit, where are the tissues!

  • me too i dont even know how often i played this game

  • I bot this game with Steam! Because this song reminded me of the good memories (:

  • No words can discribe this.

  • This makes me never want to leave Dantooine :/

  • One of the few games I like based almost entirely on the story and atmosphere. This and the old blizzard games are probably the best in terms of cinematic experience delivered through a video game imo.

  • I would've really liked if they made a KotOR 3, but I'm still looking forward to The Old Republic.

  • Shame shame shame... that BioWare didn't do the sequel and more. Yeah I will play TOR, but it will never be as epic as this game. Simply because RPGs are single-player and focussed on story while MMO are more focussed on end-game raids. Sure TOR has character storylines but again... it won't be as good as KotOR.

KotOR is without a doubt the best game I've ever played.

  • I doubt John Williams made this soundtrack, but it sounds so much like his work, does anyone know who's it was?

  • @DeadThouusand Jeremy Soule. same guy who did Skyrim's soundtrack

  • i have done everything in KOTOR 1-2. there is not a stone left unturned, and they will always be some of the best games ever made.

  • You probably all think I'm a stupid traitor or something because I love this game as much as you guys do but bioware's mass effect totally got me, such an fantastic game, that's because it was so much like kotor......

  • @DeadThouusand agree, Mass Effect ans Kotor were both the gams that made me love Bioware

  • After getting out of those grim tunnels and deadly mobster place, Dantooine + this music were just insanely moving. Haven't felt anything like it since Ocarina of Time.

  • This song makes me feel sad. Sad because there will be no greater game than this.

  • really nice, and peaceful music, I'd say it's great for meditating with :)

  • Ahh, I love this game. I remember when I first came to Dantooine in KOTOR 1. One of the things I loved about it was the music, it just made me feel so safe.

  • John Williams and all the "StarWars musician" guys are sick.. thats awesome!

  • bastilla tells us you are strong in the force, we are considering you for jedi training

  • The first half of this song is the best.

  • Comment removed

  • Nostalgia just hit me like a fucking bitch....

  • This music sounds very much like the opening music of the prologue of The Beauty and the Beast... in two of my life's favorite soundtracks

  • I always love this song, anytime, I go to planet Dantooine. :)

  • amazing game this music makes me sad cause i cant discover this game a second time

  • I'm requesting about 9 more Kotor games, and then more.

  • im sorry but i dont think KOTOR when i hear this. i think beauty and the beast xD

  • I <3 this song...

  • This piece of music sounds like a mix of Fable, Oblivion and the Harry Potter games for some reason O_O

    Also I love KOTOR's soundtrack

  • I probably love this game more than the movies

  • I HATE Kath Hounds.....that's what the music reminds of.

  • if they remake this game it must be on PC

  • @luke5518 it was on pc originally.....

  • @TheMonroe654 No, it was on Xbox originally. They made a PC port with extra content that was released 4 months later. And a better decision in the world of pc games has since then not been made. This game was so good it made us star wars fans forget about the horrors that was episode 1, 2 and 3.

  • @TheKarmak nahh lol the movies are good but the old republiuc storyline is gritty and crazy lol the movies are like pg compared to the games

  • @SwowingHard So, you are saying you liked the new movies (ep 1 2 3) more than KotOR? Well, to each our own opinion I guess.

  • @TheKarmak are you on crack lol im saying the kotor storyline is crazy and its like rated R and the movies are childish and its PG

  • @SwowingHard Wel I did say the Game put the new movies to shame and it sounded like you were disagreeing with me. That's why I asked. And no, I am not on crack either. The only drug I use is The Force.

  • Mass effect SUCKS compared to KOTOR

  • @Rokomorro0A I'm inclined to disagree, I loved the ME games and their universe. It's possibly I'm biased because ME is more up to date than KOTOR but even then I regard ME as having gained an identity of its own.

Still, they seriously need to remake this KOTOR if possible for PS3 or the 360 with a SW movie budget! I would love to see that.

  • @Standuble Well what can I say. I love them both! XD

I can't really pick one over the other, I really enjoyed them intensely.

  • @BluePenMagic Agreed.

  • @Standuble I agree. I was first caught between opinons that ME constantly reminds of itself in KOTOR.Truth is between: relatively those two are similar of many things: like many secondary quests and repective dialogues, moral balance, unknown threat, "ally chat", starmap. Yet ME is different in many things. When playing KOTOR i was sometimes forgetting im playing Star Wars, and with ME i was forgetting im not.ME has a faster, cinematic pace.Still, both games have in common: greatness. And soul.

  • @Standuble I agree there, I wouldn't compare a game based in the star wars universe against a game that stands on its own. However, if a remake was done, I don't think it would be brought to PS3, for the simple fact of, Kotor was the only Bioware game not to touch PS, ME and DA did, so it's possible, Bioware IS (on top of making SWTOR) supposed to be making KOTOR 3 as well, the future will hold the answers

(amazing piece btw, was my favorite music in the game <3)

  • I love the Kotor games. Best move the Star Wars franchise ever made. I love the music as well. I've performed much of the Star Wars music over the years, and am amazed each time I play it.

  • BIOWARE YOU FUCKIN IDIOTS!! MAKE A 3 AND YOU'LL GET 10,000,000,000,000 FUCKIN DOLARS!!!!

  • @CorrinMovies The old reoublic is 300 years after kotor 2 as kotor 2 is five years after kotor1

  • @SwowingHard /=l okay?

  • Too bad it...gets blown up by darth vader=(

  • @SwowingHard It was Malak who blew the Jedi Academy and the planet to ruins.

Darth Vader destroyed Alderaan with the first Death Star in episode 4.

  • @ravagerslb yup leia fucked dantooine over though lol

  • @SwowingHard no, that was alderaan.

  • @XxSavrenxX Lol i knio someone elsee corrected me =) but in thee movie leia says the rebel base is on dantooine wen they were aiming at alderaan

  • This game was soo powerful you can feel the emotion perfectly

  • For some reason this music kinda reminds me of Harry Potter....

  • I LOVE EVERY track of this game, and I really hope they make a third kotor :( :(

  • ONE OF THE ALL TIME BEST GAMES IN THE GALAXY

ps:sorry for the caps but it was necessarry

  • probaly my favorite track lost count of how many times iv beatin it

and i still LOVE it to death!

  • This music is the perfect blend between: mystery, intrigue, and comfort; which blends perfectly with the ambiance of Dantooine that your supposed to be feeling during this part in the game... GOD do i love KotOR!

  • it almost makes me sad that i will never find a more thrilling game... i played this when i was in year 6... it brings back so many memories :S

i think i must have played it about 14 times (NO JOKE) im pretty sure im not the only one.... i dont think ive finished ALL the side quest either though....

  • @uhaveachode1 You must have never heard of SWTOR, sweety. :)

I as well overplayed KOTOR I and II and am looking forward to SWTOR with a burning passion.

  • @uhaveachode1 dude, this is the best game ever, childhood memories :D i love it

  • @uhaveachode1

The sequel to this game - Star Wars The Old Republic will be even better. Its absolutely huge.

I love this game. I played it several times this year already, i'm tempted to play it all voer again.

  • @uhaveachode1 hey. i'm pretty sure i played kotor a whole lot more then you did. i prolly played it maybe 35 to 50 times.

  • I love this soundtrack! :)

I'm playing Kotor for the first time now and I really love it! I just found the map piece on tatooine, my first planet! :)

  • @Ir0nstorm you are so lucky, you can still play it for the first time xD

great game with a great ambient soundtrack. hope tor will be able to get at least close.

  • @Ir0nstorm ENJOY! :D

  • I won this game when I was a kid. I just kept playing it over and over again. I couldn't stop.

  • Can't wait for TOR

  • OMG. This song brings back so many memories.

  • I just hope they make Dantooine a planet to explore in TOR so i can hear this music again!

  • @TheRevan1337 Me too man! One thing is for sure... if the game is successful they will be adding all those cool planets. ;)

  • @stinnnnnn I heard that Manaan Screwed their Neutrality and destroyed alot of Atho City in a war against themselves at the time of The Old Republic,so they wont be shipping of as much kolto as they used too

  • Fucking TOR.

  • Wow, this has to be - in my opinion - the best track from the soundtrack. I really miss this game and it's sequel. I can't wait to replay them both soon enough. I'm really excited about The Old Republic MMORPG, but I truly wish Lucasarts would've crafted KOTOR III and then followed with the MMORPG. I would've rather had more cleared up in the story, and besides the Old Republic is only for PC (at least for now) which requires good hardware to run it and a monthly fee...:(

  • I miss playing KOTOR 1 and KOTOR 2 for hours straight every day... my discs broke a few years ago.

  • Does anyone else think this sounds a little like Christmas music?

  • Kotor is better than ocarina of time. I dont care what everyone says; if someone has played both Kotor and ocarina, and still says that ocarina is better, then they played kotor wrong. Ocarina just can't compare with the sheer emotion of Kotor, let alone the storyline and plot twists. Kotor is the greatest game ever made.

  • @ACTIVEDEVICE I agree, but I also think it's a bit like comparing apples to oranges. They are both geared toward different sorts of play experiences, and both are excellent games.

  • Just make me want to jump outta the house, and run around the fields of, Dantooine.

  • My favorite song ever, better then the one in KotOR II.

  • i love the music it makes me feel so free and i love kotor :D

  • I wish i could play this game over again for the first time.

  • this game..and i know its a video game still amazes me and touches my heart til his very day.

  • i can almost feel Dantooine's wind. Touch its fields.

  • @teasaki

and see/hear the giant manta rays fly through the sky. those were pretty cool.

  • @teasaki and the Kath Hounds knawing at my skull.

  • I just bought the game on Steam and am replaying it. I'm surprised theres a lot of things I have forgotten! It's almost like Its my first playthrough

  • darth malak, darth bandon, and the 3 sith masers on the star forge disliked this

  • Oh god! For the longest time i forgot what this song sounded like. But finally when I found this video and heard the first 10 seconds of it, I couldn't breathe. Dang this song is just to beautiful.

  • Statement: This game is great.

Correction: This game is the best.

  • @SinRainer Statement: You are correct, meatbag.

  • Query: Have you guys heard about the Revenge of Revan mod for Kotor 2? It is supposed to be a completely new Kotor game made by fans and as far as I know is still alive.

Excited statement: Oh, I do hope it will be released some day, I'd love more of the classic Kotor experience!

  • @liqu1dcham3leon Awesome Comment! Yeah, that would be awesome to play more KOTOR. I have not heard of this "Revenge of Revan" though.

  • The government is so stupid. Instead of spending billions of dollors on Drug Watchers corporations and taking up useful jail space, they should start selling this game again, then the addicts will have something else to get addicted to.

  • I miss this game so much...an unbeleivable adventure through the star wars universe.

    I WISH I WAS A KID AGAIN :(

  • I used to just go to dantooine and just set my controller down to listen to this song. kotor music ,and star wars music in general makes the story come to life and makes you feel it emotionally.

  • @masterskyrunner yeah you're right, I think I was just impatient and didn't feel like doing that mission. I just wanted to get underway. It was an interesting mission though I have to admit.

  • this song gives me chills and makes me sad at the same time because I have yet to play another game as awesome as this one... FUCK THIS wAS A GOOD GAME AND THiS sONG MAKES Me WANT TO PLAy IT ALL OVER WITHOUT STOPPINGH

  • i have played through this game at least once every year and i still never tire of it.

  • 4 people are Kraith hounds

  • Why is there such a sense of nostalgia to this song?

  • @masterskyrunner You're 100% right!!! I just can't describe it...This game is best, not because it has incredible graphics, battle system, and all other shit, but because it has soul. You can really feel like you're in that galaxy far, far away. You can stop and look at those plain fields on Dantooine, or the sunset at Korriban...Talk with Bastilla or Carth...Same applies to Kotor 2...I can't imagine how great Kotor 3 would be...But what you want the most, you hardly ever get...

  • i cant baleve i forgot about it im going on it again

  • I almost wish I was senile so I could play this game just like the first time I played it.

Now that I think of it, the combat system and the options in it were quite limited and a bit too simple to actually be fun, but the beauty of the game was in it's story, dialogues, quests, characters, choices you had to make, the beautifully designed surroundings and absolutely amazing music that fitted the setting so good that you could almost smell that ocean on Manaan.

  • One day, I was eating with my mother & I said " Mum, It's really cool Dantooine ! What about going over there later? " * most seriously as possible *

  • @KATLDEATH ugh! Omg... I hated that mission! It was a pain in the ass to finish! But you do get a decent amount of experience from completing it right. So it's somewhat worth it.

  • @LiF3iSshoRt not really :/

  • I love this song, it makes me think of that long ass mission where those two bastards Rickard and Handon lie to you throughout that conversation with Bolook.

  • I am very emotinal whenit comes to games and movies this game and silent hill 2 made me cry

  • This game was truly amazing the ravishing sounds that emmited from my screen gave me the upmost peace and serenity as i drifted off into the abyss of no return waiting to play this game truly fabulous and amazing the rays of dantooines lost sunlight still makes an echoing flame in the deepest sections of my lit heart 10/10

  • Dear Sith, Thanks for destroying the enclave and pretty much every other jedi in the galaxy, thanks to you i had to blow up the damn death star with me being the only jedi left, its okay though, you douche bags got owned by a farmer from Tatooine :) yours truly, Luke Skywalker

  • First few seconds of this song sound like the opening to Beauty and the Beast.

  • this game is ravishing and magical. Still cannot describe what I felt the first time I played it and heard this enchanting melody. This still permeates my mind and soul, filling them with thriving bliss and purity. This game is definitely a dream, one of my fondest dreams

  • why they've destroyed everything in kotor2?? all that climate s gone now :(

  • This music is what made me almost cry when I found out about Dantooine's bombing. BioWare makes games that tie me emotionally to them, something no other company has managed yet. A great example is this, or Mass Effect. I actually applauded at the end of that game, when Shepard ran out from under the rubble.

  • Very relaxing music.

  • I played this game when I was 11 too, today i'm 16 and i'm still playing to this game.. It's a part of my life.. The best game i've ever played

  • @xByCalypso

me too bro. me too. best memories of my childhood are in this game.

  • @ACTIVEDEVICE When yes <3, He is magic.

  • if they made a third KOTOR for xbox, it would make so much bank.

  • I remember I heard about this game somewhere on IGN, but I never looked into it. One day I was at a blockbuster, and I saw this and I thought "Oh yeah, I remember that name." But there was also Smackdown vs Raw (yes, I was a WWE fan, ,sue me) that I wanted to get. I decided to rent this.

I now own the game in a blockbuster case :D

  • BEST GAME I EVER PLAYED

COUTLESS HOURS SPENT ON IT, ENJOYED ALL OF IT

GOOD TIMES WHEN I WAS YOUNGER

HOLBROOK LONG ISLAND NEW YORK IN THE BUILDING 631

  • I got goosebumbs... memories are great!

    I want my game back...

  • I have this song in my sleeping music play list on my Ipod, and I put it on my Ipod boom box and I drift to sleep in 30 seconds.

  • Pretty much my first RPG ever. I played it when I was around 11-12. I'm 15 now and I haven't found a better RPG then this. First time I played this, I pulled the first "all-nighter" of my life. I truly wish I could be a KOTOR virgin again.. :(

  • Unbelievable... I finished most games I played once, or in rare cases twice max. KotOR however... I finished 7 times. Everything in this game was perfect. The story, the music, everything. It's a shame Bioware dropped KotOR II on Obsidian, cause even though it was a great game, it couldn't compete with the original. Bastilla, Malak, Revan... a truly epic game. I hope they won't forget us KotOR fans when it comes to TOR. Screw monthly fees!

  • It reminds me of my childhood a lot!!! Good memories...good, KOTOR is a part of all that. The music associates me of mysteries... something big is brewing and you are in the middle of it, but you still don't know it

  • Do not go to Dantooine whilst playing Kotor at Night. I swear, this music'll put you to sleep.

  • @InhumanNexus Did the exact opposite for me, kept me up all night playing KOTOR.

  • FUCK..... I gotta go play KOTOR again.... well he goes a week of life :p

  • Where's KOTOR 3! Got canceled.....dammit.......

  • I GET GHOOSEBUMPS WITH THE FIRST 5 SECS. OF THE VIDEO !! OH HOW GOOD IS KOTOR !!!

  • Kotor was one of my best periods in my childhood. :( Now everything is so nostalgic. Same here... It's amazing how good was this game. When I was child i didn't realize how good kotor was. I realize it now. :/ The planets in KOTOR have unique atmosphere. Sweat nostalgia... :[

  • man i remember how long it was until i was able to find kotor and then play it again.

  • Is it lame to say this song brings me onto the verge of tears? The memories of being so young, and playing this for hours on end are one of the happiest times of my life. I really do miss it :(

  • I wish BioWare would release a sequel more like the original. Who in their right mind would want a MMO over kotor? Just hearing the music makes me nostalgic.

  • I wish BioWare would make a sequel that was a little more like the original. To heck with MMO. Just hearing these songs make me nostalgic.

  • Nice Music

  • I thought it was weird how this music played through all of your battles with the Kath hounds. The first time I played, this music made me relax, so I got my butt kicked. Didn't expect them to be so strong.

  • Combat in SWTOR is so numb... why does everybody like it??

  • @vboxeca Because storyline is more important to us. Gameplay is more important. Besides, the same combat systems get boring after a while.

  • @WoWhistorian Because of storyline I play singleplayer RPGs :)

  • Amazing.

  • I just feel like playing this game over..and over..and over again. Its just that amazing. I'm addicted to KOTOR, and im not afraid to admit it honestly.

  • @Hamptoncltn me too. Good thing they are coming out with KOTOR's Anonymous (aka The Old Republic). If i could just play this game and zelda: ocarina of time for the rest of my life, I would never need another form of entertainment.

  • @ihatefacebookalot true lol, im looking forward to The Old Republic though. It might not exactly be KOTOR, but its close enough for me :/

  • @Hamptoncltn

I hear you dude. Just played the game a few months ago - and i've developed an addiction to it. Musta spent a few 100 hours playing it through several times over.

I can only imagine how addictive the Old Republic MMO will be when it comes out

  • @Hamptoncltn I've seriously beaten it over fifty times.

  • @Hamptoncltn I played it three times. Twice good once bad. Now I'm trying to play it again because I"m just bored and I can't get into it anymore :(.

  • @Hamptoncltn Hello my name is Hamotoncltn and I am a KOTOR addict.

    Hello Hamptoncltn

  • I remember when I became a Jedi for the first time, I was like fourteen or fifteen, the happiest moment in the gaming virtual world for me. I felt so accomplished (back then I was deep into Star Wars), I really felt like I could use the Force, travel the galaxy, and run with the coolest people in the galaxy. I think there may be a KoTOR disk for $10 at Gamestop around here, definitely going there to day and purchasing my past.

  • @Scytherene122190 tee hee prepare for some major nostalgia

  • @Scytherene122190 same mate, 'cept I was 11 and kept my copy ;)

  • @Scytherene122190 Well said. Very well said. May the Force be with you.

  • sadly fat ass faggot at store didnt want to sell me the game becuz it was "BAD" condition, even tho it had like 3 small scratches the kind u can hardly see, but nooo hes a bitch, so im gonna buy this for computer, thank god for the starwars pc game trilogy

  • best track on the game

  • I LOVE this song. The cat woman is pretty hardcore too. Shes to emotinal i think.

  • @Jangosymbiote I didn't like the catwomen in the game =S (The only thing I didn't like in KOTOR, everything else was just epic!!!)

I recently played in again =D it's just amazing to play and I never get bored..!

    Beautiful piece of music btw!

  • @DoctorDruvus Yeah, Juhani was a little strange and hardcore, I recently became a major star wars fan, I had been a fan of star wars but I never really understood it, then recently I started reading the wookieepida and I came to understand the star wars universe more. This is my favorite star wars computer game, but I haven't played KOTOR II yet and I want to...

  • @Danni293 Believe me, you are going to enjoy KOTOR II so much!! I prefer II over I. But many people will disagree on that point with me. There was cut much content out of KOTOR II, because they had deadline. But if KOTOR II would have been fully completed, then it would be waaaaaay better than KOTOR I =D

Even though the missing content, I prefer KOTOR II...

And KOTOR (I & II) are my favorite games too =) Beautiful stories!!

  • @DoctorDruvus It's the development of stories combined with beautiful scenes (such as Dantooine) and the background music that makes an excellent game. Lucas Arts did it right when they made this game, you can tell that they put time and effort into it when they made it, it definitely shows in the game. It would be cool though if they remade the game in more recent times so they can use more modern technology in it, make it look, sound and feel better. KOTOR And SW fan forever.

  • @Danni293 Mmmm, I would prefer a third KOTOR, instead of a remakte of the first one...

But now we are going to get a MMORPG, which is briliant too (swtor.com). The only negative point is, that you have to pay a mondly fee =(

Anyway, looking forwarth to the MMORPG =D

  • @Danni293 ...Lucas 'remastered' the Original Trilogy and look how that turned out. It should be left alone, but a third one should come out. And not the MMO because that is definitely going to be pay to play.

  • @Jangosymbiote thats why i always finish her with drain life xD

  • I really dont think anyone could ever forget that feeling like when we first played it, or when we all destroyed the star forge... that sense of "Holy Shite, i just finished the game i want to play it again..." Or even (Spoiler*) when you found out that you are in fact darth revan... Or even the small things in the game... i dont think anyone will ever forget their first time with this game and sadly that feeling will never happen again...

  • "I will be your DOOM!"

  • @menslady125 lol i killed that biatch and then I became jedi master :)
