Wow, so much hate here. Thank you Jennifer for this video. As a man dating a strong and independent woman, the points brought up in this video really resonant with me. Alpha females tend to scare many men because men secretly fear them.
Yet, strong & independent women have so much to offer to a man. Opening her up to her feminine side is one of the most enjoyable and challenging endeavor for me. Plus, an alpha female is a great source of growth for the alpha male.

@blade004 The hate I was referring to were some of the personal attacks rather than any gendered view. At any rate, I think the core issue lies in the confusing of what constitutes a strong/independent woman vs. an insecure/immature woman. These two types are often mis-attributed.
The social conditioning of the West has screwed up both sexes. The entitlement many Western women carry is frustrating. But realize, to many women, Western men also carry culturally-inculcated flaws.

I think maybe at one point of their lives this type of (young) woman feel the need for a career success, and self-independence, financial security, world discovery. Once she reaches the 30s or the 40s, once settled financially she will want to raise a family. Strong independent woman true but just for a time... Not a universal truth for all women but for certain case.

Many of us men hear that term, and it conjures up this image of a career driven female business tycoon with an MBA, but how about a woman who simply supports herself financially? Why not a woman who has aspirations in life beyond becoming some man's wife? My test is simple. "Can she achieve her life's financial goals without a man's success?" As far as i know, it's a well established trust issue, a defense mechanism that shields them from being hurt (particularly from a man). Self empowerment is great as long as it's kept in it's proper context. She does need to understand that no matter how strong she is, she's still a woman. A submissive, feminine woman who is in control of herself is very attractive, but if she starts acting like she has a c**k bigger than mines, I surely won't stick around for long. Read a book called the 7 habits of highly developed people. The ultimate goal is interdependence.. not independence.
