Hurrr durr I like how all these faggots are saying this game failed, when in fact, it was largely successful. The COMPANY is what failed. They went bankrupt from the other product they'd been working on, and that carried over to having lack of support and Devs for APB, which left aimbotters to roam freely, forcing other legit players to quit, and killing the population, leaving them, with no other form of income.

@MrDaemite I do play it, it's good fun, but I wonder for its lasting appeal. ATM, it's just an expensive, slightly below par shooter with some interesting custom content stuff and a cool context.

The test of the pudding will be in the eating in 6 months or so after it's been developed a bit more and the initial hype is over.

If APB was released for PS3 (it won't be released for Xbox because of MS bans MMOs), then as well as extra development costs for redeveloping for a radically different platform they would also need to put in a crazy amount of auto aim to make console players competitive with PC players.

Don't bother arguing the point, controller analog sticks just aren't as good as mice for shooters.

@NoOdL3z18 still in beta dude and it go terrible for me, tried 9800GX2, 8800GTS, HD5770, 9600M GT and still same fps, fps spikes and many lags, after last update (yesterday) its more better. you need epix computer like Athlon X4 970, 8gb ram, and at least GTX 280... game need very high-end CPU thats why i have on all cards same fps :/

So I don't have problems running either game. GTA 4 had a few dips in frame rate, but stayed at 60 most of the time. This game stayed at about 120 FPS and feels a little cheap, and not so great graphics to be honest (Max settings, Max AA, 16:9 Resolution) I don't recommend this game unless you are an MMO addict.

PCs are better but they are not as easy or straight forward as people make out. You have to either buy a ready made Gaming Rig or build one yourself (which is cheaper) but then you got to buy the right parts that will work together well and download drivers etc. Then you got the dreaded DRM and the fact that game shops wont even let you take back some PC Games.

Consoles offer a ready made, optimised, user friendly experience. They may not be powerhouses but they are still great.

@IP1NKYI I agree a home made rig can be cheaper if you buy from the right places such as newegg but.. my rig costed me $996 and it has a 3.0GHz processor (dual core), nvidia 9800+ video card and 4gb ram.. and a week later there was a dell with same specs but more ram and 3.2GHz processor for $1000.. also there's the issue of parts being dead on delivery for home made rigs

@insanitystudio It's cheaper if you look at it in the long distance, for example if you want to get a better computer you can upgrade your current one... however if you have a PS2 and want to play Grant Theft Auto IV you need to buy a new console, and besides when PS4 comes out all you guys with PS3 will need to buy that for a lot of cash too. So what he means is that PC is more customizable and somewhat cheaper, than a console.
