At the top, a pair of eyes, but they also look like a pair of pheasants facing each other in a symmetrical (and contrived) pose. I think it was intended for both to be seen, depending on the personality of the viewer. In the center, I see a goats head, but take off the ears, and add the symmetrical curves on either side on the face, and it looks like a wooly mammoth.
