  • The lesson translated:

    Lewis: 'throw a jab'

Eubank: *throws a jab from jabbing range'

Lewis: no, throw a really hard jab from inside *demonstrates a left hook off the back foot*

Eubank: *throws a left hook off the back foot*

    Lewis: *looks smug*

The 'lesson' condensed: 'if you're in hooking range throw a hook and not a jab'.

  • @DavidByrne85 wasnt a hook you turn your body as a coil allow you to be away from the target a little bit more, but yea better of with a hook

  • if lenox taught him that early... he would have gotten more knockouts loool

  • two twats together lol

  • 0:10 " Those europeans eh "....hahaha

  • I would love to learn from Lennox Lewis.

  • It's good to see a healthy discussion on people's opinion about boxers. So let's have a good clean fight, break when I say Break and no hitting below the belt, OK?

    Seconds away.

  • I can't help it. I laugh every time when Eubank's phone falls out of his pocket on that first punch!

  • Judging by the way Eubank cheated in his fights it's about time someone taught him how to box! Or at least how to box cleanly!

  • Chris Eubank has very underrated power, he hit very hard.

  • I'm sure when you are a professional in any type of business it isn't fun being told you're doing something wrong by a peer. Probably almost wants to make you say 'f--- off'

  • @norhamdan1985 not neccessarily...the only person a professional sportsperson is likely to listen to is another professional sportsperson...how do you think they became professionals to begin with?

  • lennox is an Allrounder!

  • He was trained in Kitchener Ontario and won the gold for Canada.

  • @norhamdan1985 hes not canadian though hes british he moved back here after the olympics and had all his early pro fights here and had a british trainer right up to when he won the title

  • @dazza2610 he fights with an UNMISTAKABLY North American style! British Styles are just for entertainment!

  • @Gooseman2k2 no style is particular to one country or continent you retard, so floyd mayweather fights the same way as roy jones? ur an IDIOT i love how his style is seemingly so american yet it is british fighters trained in britain who now dominate your light welterweights, and super middleweights and even heavweights yes thats right, weve came closer with haye to the heavyweight crown than you have with any of your fighters, since holyfield, go learn about boxing and to spell while ur at it

  • @dazza2610 First of all... I am not American... Second... You have some kind of Dissonance in your head to spew all this nonsense!

IF YOU THINK the place where you learn boxing has NO IMPACT on the way you practice pugilism... you are either retarded or delusional!

NEXT! Go look up a list of current world champions... and see how many british flags are planted... and how many American flags are planted!

NA Styles WORK thats why they win the most titles! British styles are for making money!

  • @dazza2610 Next to show how stupid even your "dominate light welterweights/Spr Middleweights and even heavyweights" Is... Out of the Top 10 LWW's 7 are american 1 is british... Super Middleweights... 5 are American 1 is British... Heavyweights its closer... 3 American 2 British... So even in the weights with britians BIGGEST stars! Americans have more metal!

  • @Gooseman2k2 what kind of a point is that? if anything that makes britian look better haha we are such a small country yet our fighter top those divisions u just mentioned, what does it matter if there are more americans when our one fighter is above them all in the division, what would you rather have? an american at number one in the division and 9 british fighters below or a british fighter at the top and ur 9 american fighters below haha what an idiotic point

  • @dazza2610 I'm sorry... are You saying that Froch is above ward???? are you saying Khan is above bradley??? Well Khan and bradley are just about even... Froch is ranked lower than ward for sure... BUT Their fight will settle your questions!

The difference is... American fans don't put their fighters where they don't belong! They are objective! British fans inflate their fighters to ridiculous pedestals that they can never fulfill!

  • @Gooseman2k2 course khan is above bradley kahn is ranked no1 light welterweight in the world at the moment by whoever you want to quote, the ring, espn you name it anybody who follows boxing knows that, bradley refused to even fight him cos hes scared, im not inflating anything you cant inflate somebodys reputation unless they have proved it there is nobody left for kahn to fight other than bradley and froch has fought better people than ward

  • Comment removed

  • @Gooseman2k2 and dont talk nonsense, every american heavyweight that comes along you inflate until they get beaten by mediocre opponents, david haye is in the top 3 behind the klitschkos, where are the americans? and ward isnt even ranked no1, lucian bute is and hes european not america, there are 5 europeans in the top 10 super midleweight rankings and only 3 americans, ward, pavlik and dirrell

  • @dazza2610 Lucian Bute is Canadian... Canadian taught... French speaking... I personally train with him and he has fought here since he turned pro... Ward is #2 and hes American...

SPRMDLweight.... North Americans Top10... Bute/Ward/Johnson/Pavlik/Quillin.... UK fighters... Froch...

    Top 2... American/Canadian... 3rd UK...

AND THATS JUST ONE DIVISION! the BEST division the UK has! nevermind the rediculously american divisions other than SprMid!

  • @Gooseman2k2 diego corrales fights different to floyd mayweather , how can you say there is a north american style and a euro style when every fighter fights different, or euro fighters fight similar to american fighters and vice versa, mexican fighters for example come to fight as do british fighters, klitschko uses the jab and works his way in as do some american fighters, to say ur deemed to one style because ur from a particular continent is laughable as are you

  • @dazza2610 Anyone who knows the history of boxing will know... that Euro styles... especially UK styles in particular... usually come off second best! north america and the US in particular has been dominating boxing since the second world war! To dispute that is to deny facts! or to be just plain delusional!

When you think of the most overrated boxers in the history of the sport who comes to mind? Ricky Hatton/Joe Calzaghe/Chris Eubank/PRINCE NASEEM HAMED!!!

  • @dazza2610 Heya buddy boy... remember me? Ward>Froch... Bradley>Peterson>Khan...

EVERYONE>Barker... Klitschko>Haye... Uh oh!!! no more British champs left!

UH OH! British Titles held... 0 American Titles held... 19...

And yea btw I'm STILL not American!

  • @Gooseman2k2 hahahaha you didnt have a reply last time so you followed me to another video now two british champs have lost their titles? hahaha geek im curious as to why your replying now? thought of a comeback? kahn lost his belts by a split decision because he had two points deducted, if he hadnt had the points taken off he would have won FACT, how triumphant, im sure peterson is very proud winning a belt that he took no part in earning, wait for the rematch and we will see who the champ is

  • @dazza2610 If you scroll down... you would understand that I am replying to the SAME video... I don't even remember your name, much less follow you around LAWL!

The point in general is... American titles... 19... British titles... 0... THERE IS A REASON for this!

As for the Khan fight... if you push people like a fucking moron... you DESERVE to lose those points... What do you think? should they just have kept letting it go???

  • @Gooseman2k2 then why reply now instead of at the time. hahaha you had no comeback thats why, and 19 titles what you talking about?, and im not saying you should but i would hardly brag about it hahaha its hardly a great win he won by the other fighter getting points deducted and your bragging as if it was pure domination

  • @dazza2610 Let's not forget the asinine points I was FIRST arguing your dumb ass with!

  • @Gooseman2k2 you just said "+ Hopkins Mayweather Ward Bradley and Ramos are all The Ring champions... " the only two fighters out of those you mentioned who are ring champs is ward and hopkins, bradley is wbo champ, peterson is the ring champion (they gave kahn that belt when pussy bradley refused to fight and was stripped of his wbc belt), ramos is wba champ, the ring belt in his division is vacant and mayweather is wbc champ the ring belt in his division is vacant also...

  • @Gooseman2k2 the ibf are investigating petersons win over kahn.. go check the news the story broke today you fool, kahn is still champion in any unbiased boxing fans eyes, the decision was a joke and will likely be overturned if not an immediate rematch ordered, plus the US only have 4 world champions we still have nathan cleverly at light heavyweight the rest are from europe hahaha, as much as you would like to think there are in ur words "dominant us flags" imprinted in boxing, its a dream HA

  • @dazza2610 Peterson was DOMINATED by Bradley... Peterson and Khan was any way you slice it a very close fight!

and I apologize... your right Nathan Cleverly is a legitimate LHW champ. Obviously overshadowed by Tavoris and Hopkins!

as for your stupid title numbers...

Hopkinsx2, TavorisCloud, Wardx3, Bundradge, Mayweather, Bradleyx2, Petersonx2, Broner, Ramos, Viloria,

That's 15 world titles... + Hopkins Mayweather Ward Bradley and Ramos are all The Ring champions...

  • @Gooseman2k2 Lets just be honest here, whether English or American, the Black people are running boxing! there are no more white fighters who are any good, and there's no more mexican fighters that are dominating either. The blacks are the only ones dominating the sport right now!

  • @Marky88P Top 10 P4P... 4 blacks (american)... 2 Ukrainians... 1 Mexican... 1 Romanian... 1 Argentinian... and 1 Filipino

Depends on if you consider Sergio Martinez... of Spanish Descent a white man... but it's 4 blacks and 3-4 whites... Not really dominating...

  • @Gooseman2k2 OK, I'll admit that you owned me on that one lol. But in general, black fighters seem to be a lot more gifted in the boxing world.

  • @Marky88P joe calzaghe? rocky marciano? klitcko's? im sure 2 of them 4 are undefeated? well 3 are vitali basically has never lost hes actually won all hes fights... names some black people please? race doesn't matter its dedication diciplin and the will

  • @Marky88P their are no whites who are any good? the klitshkos are white?, nathan cleverly the wbo light heavyweight champ is white? lucian bute the ibf super middleweight champ is white? felix sturm the wba middleweight champ is white? Krzysztof Włodarczyk the wbc cruiserweight champ is white?, daniel geale the ibf middleweight champion is white? robert stieglitz the wbo super middleweight champ just defended his belt at the weekend and hes white?, think you should really do abit research

  • @dazza2610 Klitschko's are boring, and should be in a class of their own in terms of size, not ability. Nathan Cleverly is okay, but he hasn't been proven yet, Lucian Bute hasn't been proven yet, time to step up his game me thinks, and the other guys you mentioned are overrated to be honest. I am white myself, but I just believe that boxing is becoming less and less dominated by whites.

  • @Marky88P ur opinion on them doesnt matter, the fact they hold championships and competing at top level proves your claim to be stupid

  • @Gooseman2k2 how do you feel looking a total fool now the WBA have now ordered a rematch for kahn and bradley hahahaha are you still gonna brag now? haha and its clear from the foolish false facts you have just spouted you know nothing about boxing so i dont know why im even debating with you...

  • @Gooseman2k2 and kahn might have had a close fight but if you look at the scorecard if he doesnt have the two points taken away it would have been a draw, not to mention he got a knockdown ruled a slip which was blatably a knock down, pure hometown decision now under investigation peterson and bradley fought 2 years ago it means nothing, hopkins lost to taylor then taylor lost to pavlik yet hopkins dominated pavlik? explain that into ur little theory then? it means nothing its styles make fights

  • @Gooseman2k2 Prince Naseem isn't overrated and how can Calzaghe be overrated when he retired undefeated?

  • @jason60152 Calzaghe is way overrated because he didn't fight anybody good except an old roy jones and i thought he lost to Bernard but even if you thought he won, ya need a lot more then just one good fighter on your record. Calzaghe is average at best.

  • @fistking He is average but still isn't overrated because nobody put's him in the top fighters bracket.

  • @jason60152 Yeah your right. And i think he's good, he would have just needed to fight 5 or 6 more top fighters to see where we can rate him and he didn't that is why in my eyes i had to put him average at best.

  • @fistking agreed:)

  • @fistking jeff lacy thought the same and look what happened to him! he was poised to be the next mike tyson lol. he got destroyed. joe also obliterated contender star peter manfredo. stop hating joe...... he was a great fighter with tons of heart

  • @backthemack Lacy stinks, Manfredo never did anything

The fact that you brag about Joe beating a guy who didn't even win a shitty reality show 40+ fights into his career is proof of what a lack-of-accomplishment bum Calzaghe is.

  • @Gooseman2k2 its not the war, they have done nothing since the early 90s in heavyweight boxing, if your talking about the past i could say british fighters dominated before the war and all the way back to the 1700s who cares? and i dont rate any of those fighters anyway lol especially hatton and eubank, who would rate a wbo champion? as eubank was, i dont know any british fan who rates him on a world class level if you want to talk overated how about floyd mayweather

  • bad booooooooooyyyyyyyyyy

  • press 4, watch the punch then immediately press 9. Huge difference.

  • Eubank keeps it classy

  • lennox is a dick.

  • @kermitcintronsucks He was giving him a boxing lesson. He was educating him. Stop complaining.

  • where is this from?

  • This video is great banter :oD Chris Eubank was a great fighter and moved about the ring like a robot, calculating his moves. I think he was a very intelligent fighter or a 'thinking fighter' and one of my favourite boxers.

For me, Lennox Lewis was the last exciting heavyweight champion before the Klitschko Ukrainian reign. I think if David Hayes or anyone else wants to be number 1, he needs to beat both Steelhammer and Ironfist, not just Steelhammer... double trouble!

  • fuck u ravllt lennox fucked all ypu yank pricks ending by givin tyson a boxin lesson bowe dodged him and holyfield said lewis is one of the all time greats so learn b4 spoutin yer shit on here pppppprick fuck u

  • reminds me of the series "different strokes". whatcha talkin bout willis?

  • brilliant

  • this is what make fighters great willingness to learn

  • 2 all time legends

  • "So when did you come back from the states? Couple of days ago. Let me see your face" xDDDDD Eubank knew that British boxers get fucked in the states with real fighters, thats why all his career he fought in England behind his mothers skirt

  • @KravaLLT Get fucked in the states by fighters from European countries? It might have been my imagination but i swear Lewis said Klitschko did that to him......... So i guess the problem is fighting in america, must be something in the water... uh.

Oh and btw Lewis won the fight against Klitschko ,that mark on his face in this video was done to him by a european fighter, lol, in america so it has nothing to do with america. lol.

  • @LogicalStatements1 Russia in Europe? xDD Go to school dude

  • @KravaLLT Russia is so big it is actually called Eurasia for one ,

for two i don't understand , do you think the klitschko's are Russian? seeing so they come from Ukraine they are indeed European.

I guess you need the schooling , :p

  • @KravaLLT Lmao i was reading through some old comments and i came across this one ahahahahahah you think the Klitschko bro's are russian , they are from the Ukraine DUDE so yeah they are European hahahahahahaha , and Look up the term "Eurasia" , i know i told you this before i just find i strange that i got no reply from you :( maybe you are busy at SCHOOL DUDE.

  • 2 great fghters, i miss their careers

  • haha sick, lewis is a classic! hurt my foot! haha

  • I love this. Lewis teaching Eubank some BASIC technical skils. Eubank could've been undisputed, if only he had a quality technical trainer, like Manny Steward.

  • @blackoil911 abve average jab u said hahahah lewis jab was the best jab in the heavyweight division since larry holmes, and u said anybody put there mind to it can punch like lewis, really well how come everybody aint been a 3 time world champion like lennox lewis only ali and holyfield have won it the same amount of times

  • 'i hurt my foot'

    ahahahaha

  • LOL @ Chris acting like he doesn't know how to punch!

  • "i felt that, hurt my foot" lol

  • Two great boxers and personalities meet each other.

  • thats one powerful jab lol

  • eubank would of battered lennox if they were the same weight lol

  • @SmackNcrack01

You need a new sport mate lewis would batter eubank if he was heavyweight.

  • they are both such nice guys lol

  • what show is this?

Chris doesnt box now but im sure he would destroy everyone here (me included), i cant do anything with my left hand.

  • This makes me realise just how good of an era the 90's were.

These were great fighters who put on the best boxing shows ever.

We should be proud of these guys.

  • Muhammad Ali is the Sun, and the reast are like Stars flickering in the distant Skies; for when the Sun rises, no Stars in the Skies are visible!

  • @AbuAmanah .......ok

  • @AbuAmanah Beautiful!

  • clay lost to joe fraizer too...

  • His jab is 100x more powerful than my best, loaded up right hand.

  • @KierenMan i feel bad for you

  • @KierenMan chris eubank's?

  • @KierenMan

Your number is unrealistic and inaccurate.

  • @KierenMan

stfu lewis jab is probably above average but anyone who puts their mind into it can punch like lewis

ali would wreck lewis fuck outta here its about speed not power fool

  • @blackoil911 I guess a lot of guys just didn't put their mind to it, then. I wonder why:-)

  • @lazur1

lazur choke on a condom , lewis power punch is not the best

    it was joe frazier dummy

  • @blackoil911 i believe the argument was whether or not "anyone who puts their mind into it can punch like Lewis", NOT whether or not "Lewis('s) power punch (is or) isn't the best." Did you forget your own words? Fact is, you can't "punch like Lewis" just because you put your "mind to it". 1,000s of guys HAVE "put their mind into it", & most achieved less than Lewis-quality results. (Are you referring to the condom your dad forgot wear the day you were conceived in the asylum lunchroom?)

  • @blackoil911 Stupid cock sucker.

  • @MultiGreat1

    kid

  • @blackoil911 Yh go and fuck your mum, about 'kid'.

  • @blackoil911 lol

  • @blackoil911 you have some serious issues.

  • @MultiGreat1

yea ok mr judge judy sue me lol

  • @blackoil911

speed x strength = power. power is strong movements performed with speed.

Both Lewis and Ali were powerful fighters, no one knows who would have won, but is fun to argue about it. Both of them dominated the field, as did Tyson, but all of them also had bad days in their prime too, when they lost fights.

  • @peehawkpennell

lewis wouldve lost lol .... i saw him fight a old washed holyfield and noticed holyfield was way tought than expected after all those bowes fight ahahhahaha

ali would wreck LEWIS ANY DAY and lewis knows it lol look what happened to big foreman not so big after all hahahahahahahahaha and holyfield couldnt even knock out foreman u do the math boy use ur head thats where the fun is fool

  • @blackoil911

You don't know that or you would be rich from your boxing predictions. Lennox's stance was questionable for people like myself who have fought & youtube experts that haven’t fought but have lots to say. It clearly worked for him, hence his impressive record & hence his recognition into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.

I'm sure Lennox doesn't sit on Miami Beach outside his house spoiling his retirement with his hot wife Violet 'knowing' that Ali would have ‘wrecked’ him.

  • @peehawkpennell

thats your imagination of his wife doing him not mine... also just becuz u fought dont mean ur great lol

i just have to a use a knife lil bitch and ur boxing will be out the door thats all thank u very much and lennox has no chance against ali u ure head dumb ass

  • @blackoil911

It was thai boxing. No I wasn't great, I was competent and can still hold my own in the ring when I train. Also train against edged weapon attacks all the time but I'm sure your knife skills are legendary. I gave no reference to Lennox's wife 'doing him' on Miami Beach.

  • @peehawkpennell

fuck lewises wife retard and also id love that to happen u can use all ur kung fu

ill just have my knife hahahahahah

  • @peehawkpennell Hey, I'm not taking away from the training you do, because I enjoy training myself, but the edged weapons training you mentioned, I do not think that you can really be prepared for this situation, the training techniques you learn are good, but you never know which way the person is going to come at you, so its still REALLY hard to have to "pick" from a list of techniques you've learned. So, that said, I DOUBT anyones knife skills need to be legendary.

  • @kmc00007

We live in a world where someone with a knife thinks he is the dominant force. If someone is prepared to face jail and threaten me with 1 knife, I am prepared to come at that person with 8 weapons, 9 including my head and a choice of anything i can pick up first. Just remember, I was responding to Blackoil's threats from the comfort of his home, without telling him that I have a knife too, or a gun, or laser beam eyes. It was firstly about the fictional Ali - Lewis fights

  • @KierenMan

then sir you are a chump

  • @KierenMan thats cuz its not a jab.

  • @gameboy010203 not a jab, eubank is a orthodox fighter, that means his left hand, is his jabbing hand, watch the video again, and stick to your football.

  • @JaguarPawww No , you idiot.

I was saying that to another poster who said that his jab was so powerful.

I said that wasn't a jab , obviously meaning it has to be a hook/uppercut.

So now that you know , why don't you enjoy some nice quiet time ,shutting the fuck up, while people with better brains and comprehension discuss the finer intracacies of the seet science.

  • @KierenMan you must have one hell of a right. lol

  • I'd have to say Ali was the greatest, he was the epitome of a well-rounded fighter and was able to overcome some great fighters like frazier foreman and liston, He fought in an era where there were plenty of really good fighters while Lennox and Tyson fought in an era where there were a few good fighters round. Lennox is a great fighter, he was fearless and defeated all fighters he fought, and Tyson had an invincible prime.

  • more like chris eubank gives lennox lewis a lesson

  • I loved to watch Eubank and Benn

  • Very good boxers in there time, great entertainment. Could do with one if not both of them in boxing right now!

  • this is class, Lewis is the man

  • I wanna see Lewis right hand while Eubank is holding the bag. I like Eubank but it'd be hilarious seeing him fly across the room!

  • Eubank is my hero.. living legend Lord Mayor of Brighton

    thick a s**t tho...

  • I wish is showed Lewis hittin the bag. Probably end up imploding it.

  • Bonecrusher smith was a piece of cake for tyson, tyson won all12 rounds.Just because he didnt ko smith didnt mean he wasnt successful. It was easy for tyson.he barely broke a sweat.he won 10 rounds against tucker.after the big left uppercut tucker landed in the first, the rest of the fight was kinda easy for tyson even though he didnt ko tucker, what the hell did tucker do,he did NOTHING in that fight after the first round but dance and look cute and throw weak flurries.

  • Two British fighting greats in the same room.

  • stupid brits

  • Eubank = 200% more skilled than lewis is, was, or ever could be......

  • @MrENGLISHBULL bullshit

  • Yeah they did give him trouble . Tillis , Tucker , were both 6'4 and over had good skills and he couldnt KO them . While he destroyed most of the others . I would say they were more !! difficult for him .

  • @sj1778 WHy do people who hate tyson make idiotic statements that THEY gave him trouble. When a fighter wins almost every minute of every round, the opponent DID NOT give him trouble. So your rational is that 30 fighters gave ali trouble because he couldnt ko them???? Example: george chuvalo gave ali trouble in 1966 because he went 15?????Ali won every round. SILLY!!!!

  • Look at the difference in size between Chris and Lennox. Now ponder this: Eubank's last two fights were at cruiserweight, which is only one division below heayyweight. Just shows how big heayweights have become since the 1990s. And with increased size come arguments for a superheayweight division, like in the olympics.

  • @squarey1 well ,in the olympics the heavyweight division only goes up to 91 kgs so there has to be a super. That would only be cuiser in pro.

  • Ok sj1778 are you serious tyson didnt do good against tall fighters!?!?!? wow you must not of watched too many tyson fights!!! Name a fighter that was shorter than tyson!!! All tyson did was fight fighters good and tall!!! And if you know the science of boxing you dont knock out every man that stands in front of you styles make fights. Nothing against lennox cuz he was a great fighter but lennox had trouble with taller fighters when he did fight them...

  • Tyson had a unique perpetual motion style of defense first/offense second,(hich was damatos secret science of fighting) and tyson utilizied it as best anyone could but it takes soo much out of a person to train and maintain, unlike leis ,holy and ali,ho all relyed on running, boxing and self preservasion.

  • Lennox Lewis is the man!

  • @TheNathanFiles

    Rottweilers are such assholes. Seriously.

  • Big motherfucker isnt he (Lennox)! Its a tough game boxing, respect to these men.

  • Tyson this Tyson that- he LOST all his DEFINING fights.

He couldnt beat the best jabbing fighters or fighters with great chins. He gassed once he realised he couldnt blow them away- Holyfield x2, Lewis, Douglas, etc etc.

  • @forsoup thomas had a great chin, tucker ko'd douglas and tyson outboxed tucker.Tyson between 86-88 beats any year lewis.Lewis was overrated.lewis only fought 3 guys in their prime and lost 2 of them.Tua,Rahman, mccall,Klitchko and klitcko was wnning before the cut.Lewis was OVERRATED and a 1988 tyson would hammer him into the canvas and lewis always knew this.

  • @fadethetrade you're an idiot. Like a typical tyson fan you confuse your favourite fighter with the better fighter. It took Lewis one round of sparring with Tyson to get the measure of him. Tyson fought a bunch of over the hill fighters who'd had huge 15 round wars in their career, and nobodies. The non-boxing fans lapped it up. Tyson is massively overrated by his fans, Lewis is largely underrated. I'm not saying Lewis is a top 5 heavy of all time, but I'd put him 6th or 7th.

  • @lordjimmyboy tyson's opponents were better then lewis oppponents, idiot.Tyson between 86-88 and lewis still lost to 2 tomato cans tyson would run right thru.Lewis was overrated and knows he would get ko'd by tyson of 86-88 because tyson back t hen would catch lewis before the 6th.tyson fought with a perpetual motion for 12 rounds and his 4 punch combinations would rattle lewis quickly.

  • @lordjimmyboy I'm not a tyson fan,I'm a boxing fan and leis chin would do him in ith a young tyson. Now,im not saying the tyson after 1988,Im talking about the damato classic tyson and lewis appeared to admit it after beating a shot tyson.Tyson became empty early,a 3 year stint .Thats all,but he ko's lewis in those 3 years.

  • @fadethetrade If you're not a Tyson fan, why the hell are you posting so much about him? You're basing Tyson's greatness on, essentially, two or three fights - Spinks, Holmes and....erm, Tony Tubbs? Get over it, Tyson was a massively media hyped fighter. I'm not saying he was crap, I'm saying he wasn't as good as people like you harp on about.

I still remember before the Tyson - Holyfield/Tyson - Lewis fights. "Tyson will win, they can't live his power" followed quickly by "He's past it"

  • @lordjimmyboy Yes but you don't remember or understand the difference in his teechnique.he became a crude one punch at a time fighter after 1988.And rooney always told him that the one punch at a time style would be his demise. In hindesight ,he was fighting the best since ali.Holmes got totally dominated, cheed and spit out quite easily but almost beat holyfield in holys prime. You see now??

  • @lordjimmyboy TYson easily outpiointed a solid boxer/puncher wba cahmp in tucker and tucker 4 months prior ko'd a fit douglas. No you get it???????

  • @lordjimmyboy The problem is there are lots of fight fans who believe the notion that tyson was the same fighter in focus, technique and attitude after 1989 then before 89.I can't dispute facts here while you still beileve in this incorrrect information. It's a waste of my time as a fight conneseur. And simply dismissing his opponents as "shit" between 86-88 is another idiotic statement. They all could have beaten Lewis and holyfield on a given night

  • @lordjimmyboy I'm basing tysons greatness on his career from 85-88,his camp(damato),his style of fighting(strongest/fastest fighter in history combined) and his 9 title defenses before his 23rd birthday without losing a round or 2.This was focus, technique and determination at it's BEST!!

  • @fadethetrade the fact that you've just said Tyson is the fastest fighter, rather than the fastest heavyweight (which is probably true, but definitely debatable), means that I can ignore what you're saying now. Cheers.

  • @lordjimmyboy fastest and strongest combined, read more carefully

  • @fadethetrade that makes no sense. Of course the fastest heavyweight will be the fastest/strongest combined. That's just stating the obvious.

  • @lordjimmyboy ALi was the fastest but feather punching.what are you talking about????

  • @lordjimmyboy I'm becoming dissapointed in your posts.

  • @lordjimmyboy Let me put it in perspective, tyson was the best in combination of strenght, speed, chin in history. His short size put him at a disadvantage when he went for one punch at a time(after 1988)that's hy the "others" beat him, but when he followed the damato techniques of bobbing, jabbing and COMBINATION PUNCHING OFF THE RIGHT FOOT AND BALANCE FOR 12 ROUNDS IF NEEDED,he was very hard to beat against ANYONE!!!!! end of story.

  • @lordjimmyboy Tyson was the fastest and strongest combined as a 4 punch combination fighter. No fighter in history could throw 4 punches in 1 second thats fast and with that much force at the same time.Is that clearer now???

  • @lordjimmyboy ANy supposed fight fan who does not recognize the fact that tyson from 86-88 was multi levels better then after 89,should take up an easier sport to follow such as bowling!!!!!!!!!

  • @fadethetrade No offense, but I've always found the lower weights to be more interesting. The public at large loved heavyweight boxing because of the high chance of someone getting knocked out. I'm a super middleweight, but I find welter through to super middle to provide some of the most entertaining bouts. I'm not claiming to be a fight expert here, just saying I think Tyson is massively overrated, mainly due to his fan boys.

  • @lordjimmyboy Not true, this developed over the years AFTER tyson declined in his technique after leaving the damato camp and joining don king, who incidently, offered tyson 100,000 dollars to ko his opponents in 1 round.Thats a bad attitude for tyson to take because his short height would suffer and history proved it.Tyson of 1988 runs thru douglas in 5 or less.

  • @fadethetrade I think Tyson's height was an advantage as well though. Big fighters like Spinks went in there with the attitude "look at this guy, I can overpower him and take anything he can throw" and got knocked out. Plus, for the final time, I'm not debating that Tyson was good. I've said from the start - he's hugely overrated by his fans. Besides we'll probably piss a few people off since this isn't a Tyson video, so on topic - Eubank was pretty damn funny.

  • @lordjimmyboy Finally you seem to be understanding. It was an advantage for tyson to be 5'11" only if he utilized the damato techniques but once he took on the sloppy one shot at a time followed by the one left that always missed that holy and douglas easily anticipated and blocked ,tyson was easy meat at this height.

  • @lordjimmyboy It wasn't tysons fault that holy and lewis both "chickened out" from getting in the heavyweight mix with tyson when tyson was fighting his classic best. They were older then tyson and both fought tyson in 84 and they all drew with eachother so they were always ready but knew he'd kill them.

  • @lordjimmyboy Look at pacquaio today. This is exactly how tyson was fighting in that short period. Extremely fast, always throwing combinations, tysons foot work was brilliant and he punched in different angles as pacman does today. This was the problem most fighters had with tyson.tyson threw combinations from the left, under, over, double lefts, right left from left field etc, etc,

  • @fadethetrade lets not get started on pacquiao, that will open a massive can of worms. All I'll say is that for the good of boxing I hope Mayweather vs Pacquiao happens.

Final thought on Tyson - a big issue is that he never had a career defining fight. Not like Ali/Frazier. That and the fact that he couldn't come back from his defeat. Something that makes great fighters great is when they pick themselves up after a loss.

  • @lordjimmyboy Theres no can of worms.Mayeather comes in at top form,he wins the close decision.if he gets cocky and bends into pacmans range,he loses.I believe he'll be ready. And pacman was swollen up vs clottey.

  • @lordjimmyboy Even your fallen hero, lewis lost tice to 2 tomato cans and lost the mercer fight on my card.he as too inconsistant to rank over a classic tyson and holyfield never faced tyson in his prime period and holy lost to boe ho was overrated.Tyson fought and trained the best since ali between 86-88.

  • @forsoup TYson won all the defining fights that were top contenders between 87-88.I remember boxing analyssts and critics SPLIT between who would win with tyson vs spinks.Tyson was unfortunate to fight the 90's champions when tyson was 50% declined from damatos tyson.Thats not his fault that holy and lewis were scraed shitless of tyson in 1988 and lewis could have been a pro by then.

  • it doesnt matter how good lewis was in the end he had no charactor or carisma, just like the klitschko bros now n thats half the battle.tyson n ali will be the only boxers remembered in 100 years time

  • lennox is a bitch, tyson is the king

  • Ive got Lennox at number 2 on my all time list behind the Greatest and ahead of Foreman.
