I have to say this device is quite expensive for me. I have a question though, can you plug into the cradle a different USB Pendrive ? or maybe a Mobile HDD ?
yes they do play avi files but those are cuz of the codecs but this device doesnt have codecs so no it can it can only play the extension file of those 3 not codecs or stuff like that
Hey guys - all I am doing is unboxing the product and showing you what is in the box. It isn't an endorsement or recommendation for you to buy one - just showing you guys what's out there on the market.
People have to understand that this device is NOT a high-end user device. It's cheap and that's why you should not expect too much from it. Although there are only 3 compatible video formats and you cannot view pictures or play music, the device is nice for what it is meant to do. This is more of a portable/ temporary media solution for people. Wait a few months for prices to drop, the firmwire updates, and more fanfare support.

it looks like a shitty wanna be Apple TV. 4gb wont store shit, Apple TV is 40 or 160 gb, much much better, plus it works out of the box with Mac and PC, it runs off iTunes so there is no new software to install or get used to using.
Uhh with the Sansa TV take you don't have to install or use any software at all, its simple drag and drop. Some people don't have itunes, or feel the need to use itunes, for those people(like me) Apple TV is crap.
Why did they not take it one step further and make it a recording device?

Doesn't Xvid and DivX codecs play avi files? Anyone knows if avi files would play on this thing? Thanks.

as long as they are Xvid, MPEG4 or Divx. Most avi torrents are.
