like most therapists hypomania has been completely played down in this video and presented as a positive creative state.

Hypomania is in fact just as destructive as mania, often more so because it goes unnoticed and undertreated for much longer periods of time. All the same behaviours take place in hypomania as in mania, just ata lower amplitude " initially ", and without psychotic features, but hypomania usually escalates into a more moderate level of hypomania verging on mania before low.
