@dan832 yh i know the feeling, if you put a r32 in there and change the fuel injectors and pressure valves plus the ignition system, intake system, exhaust system, lighter battery, even further would be the flywheel you would get better fuel economy. Plus if you got a turbo the car would move more effortlessly plus there would be no more unburnt fuel; also improving mpg as it uses all fuel. You could do this in the mark 4 or mark 5 and gave great benefits. Ive encouraged my mates to do it.

@uddaside Are you thinking that any german car could touch honda at reliability? One s2000 can produce reliable 500hp with stock internals. How much hp can produce a 2.0lt vw? Vw transmission sucks. Honda transmission remain stock at almost every power rate. Electrical problems.... honda--> 0. Vw--> (not sure for older ones but from golf 4 and then it is a mess). The materials that japanese use are the top. Vw use the cheapest. I can talk for hours for this.

VR6 is not just limited to the mark 3. Mark 4 R's are also using the VR6 block, same with the Mark5 R's too. According to the Bently guide, the VR6 is the narrow angle V6. VR6 came in (to the best of my Knowledge) 4 sizes. The 2.8L (North America), the 2.9L (Europe only), the 3.2L (also found in the Audi TT) and the 3.6L.

why is everyone saying the vr6 and the r32 is the same engine? i guess in away it is but

the vr6 is the mark 3 and the r32 is the mark 4, however

in the vr6 you have the 2.8L 12V producing 178bhp

in the r32 you have 24V head, 204bhp, 6 gears and 4wd

so there is a difference :):)
