Is the original "When Sunny gets Blue"?

I've heard many covers of this from singers and just instrumentals and am confused.My high school choir is doing this arrangment for the Spring Show and Im curios to find out whom the original was.

@crow66693 The two most popularly recorded versions are this one by Nat and one done by Johnny Mathis some time later which I also have posted to YouTube. I would assume that Nat's version was the "original", but some lesser artist may have recorded it prior to this....Nocaro

@crow66693 This version is in Eb Major, the Johnny Mathis version is in Ab Major, but the original composition was written in F Major.

Johnny Mathis also did a beautiful cover of this song- it's my favorite in fact.

@billchew450 Johnny's version is also terrific but the arrangement was almost copied note for note from this one omitting Nat's opening stanza...you might want to read my notes attached to the video...thanks for the comment...Lanny (Nocaro)

I'd say that Johnny's version is more modern & iconic; but the Capitol sound is simply marvelous...
