Okay i read your profile. It says it will be paid for subsidized by the government. Well the government money comes from taxes. If people dont have jobs. Government cannot collect taxes therefore subsidize anything else.

Actually the only people who will be taxed are people making over 250K a year. They still have their jobs. What it said was that the premiums will be subsidized for those who can not afford them. The Public Option is not free. The premiums will be based on your income. Also you should learn about the exchange because that is a very important part of this whole thing.

I doubt there are enough people making 250k a year that could still fund it. Its still going to come down to taxing the middle class till there no longer is one. Eventually you run out of other peoples money. We dont need a ponzi insurance scam.

I am not a tax expert nor have I claimed to be so when it comes to taxes you will have to ask someone else. The fact is if we do nothing then both of those services will be bankrupt in 8 years. The money is not only comming from taxes paid by the wealthy but also by spending money we are already spending more wisely. Not to mention the public option will not be free. People will pay a premium based on their income for coverage and that will also help fund it.

Im sorry Smartassawhip that was my mistake I was thinking about another thing that would cost us on top of it & wrote in healthcare. There are three things, let me check my notes on that one, but it was my mistake on the cost. So far they dont know how it will be paid. I saw no answer given by BO of how they will pay for it. If there is any figure my goof is generously on the lower side of what we can expect to pop up somewhere else.

I realize it is deficit free for the "national debt" I do like that idea but at the same time to make it deficit free would be to take away the "write offs" of the people which is actually reducing their ability to write things off they normally would thus paying taxes on what was not taxable thus more money is actually paid it just wont come in the form of a bill and definately isnt free, I do wonder if the charities will be hit the hardest if taking that reduction away, its not free though
