There is only so small you can make a transistor on a silicone chip, you can only go as small as an atom and we are approaching this limit fast and they say by 2016 to 2020 we will hit the limit. Does this mean computaional power will hit a wall? I doubt, usb drives hit this limit a few years ago and to solve this problem they have stacked the chips on top of each other. The problem with stacking on a personal cpu is heat and energy consumption, totally the opposite of what they are striving for
