i may not be right but anyone watching this im almost 100% sure that there is a strong difference in dialect between north and south korea. i think checking were the origin of dialect will let you know what you learning. think types of spanish its spain-spanish vs. latin hispanic or even cuban hispanic virtual same language but large differences
Hm, the Pimsleur korean tells me it's shille-chiman or jiman. Is it just a different version of the same word? It was the same with Pimsleur mandarin - I got conflicting words in a yahoo search. Either different words are a dialect thing or it's how you say it properly or someone is wrong or I have yiddish lessons. Lol.
I guess it's like learning english. You can master it but you'll never understand a scotsman with a thick accent. Bollocks was really a new word to me :D
@StandingRedPanda korean j can be pronounced the same as ch so in this case chiman is the same as jiman romanization can confuse you, some write in a way that it wold be pronounced in english and some in the way it would be writen in korean with knowledge/understanding of the equivalent of english, and just to let you know the same way people dont speak the same in all english speaking places is the same for korea not every dialect is the same
I'm an experienced Korean language teacher. I'm afraid to say but many of those clip's Korean writing is wrong. Shille-heyo is writing as 실례해요. not 실례하요 which is Shille-hayo. Please double check before you upload it to allow people to learn correct Korean.
korean's confusing dont yh all agree, u think its the right word, then you find out theres another word for it, then you get confuse which one to use!! other then that its kinda fun...=)
