Ever since Jessie showed up yu-gi-oh gx got more serious. And after episodes 130-160 (thats how far i have gone in watch the subbed versions) Jadens a really serious duelist, no jokes no fun times, no more xD. Ra, with the dwarfed effects actually makes it 2nd best compared to Obilesk. cause Obilesk just needs a scapegoat to go and destroy your opponent's field of monsters.
