@MamaLuigi005 The Ringmatser must have been the Ringmaster's evil twin brother...
Ringmatser: "All my life you've held me down Ringmaster, but not anymore! My days as the guy who lays the mats down at ringside are over! I coming to the World Wrestling Federation and then we'll see which one is the Ringmaster, and which one is just the guy who lays the mats down before the shows!" Announcer: "The Ringmatser debuts next week on Raw!"
One of my favorite enterence themes! :) I liked Austin as the ring master but I gotta admit when he became stone cold his carrer took off and never looked back from this. lol
Regardless, this man should still be in jail for what he did to that poor little woman. Chris Benoit wouldn't get off easy but this Dumbass would? Oh you Marks really get to me. You guys cheer for a wifebeater, but boo a man who...... Well.... lets just say Chris Benoit knew wrestling.
probably when he assaulted his ex wife debra and was on the news in texas a few years back. Apparently, hes got some demons but then again, who doesnt?
That was kinda weird. I mean it was really unfitting to hear this after he defeated Yokozuna at the time, and made his 3:16 speech. I like the theme, but it was funny for someone with a personally as Stone Cold's to come down to the ring with this.
I remember seeing on Wikipedia that this music actually came from Jesus Christ Superstar, a Broadway production made famous by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Coincidental? I think not!
yea thats when he first crossed over from ECW, he just turned to stone cold when he won KOTR, i remember the fink calling him stone cold steve austin when he fought jake,
Yeah, he was Stone Cold b4 that tho...I think he changed it like immediately after DiBiase left the company. He said that the Ringmaster was DiBiase's baby, kinda, and he wanted to be known as something else.
this whole gimmick was cold/calculating, based off mafia hitman richard "the iceman" kuklinski. austin used to tell people he said he needed a character chilling like kuklinski and said "i dont condone anything he did, but i use him for business"
I remember this Mugshot LOL he was arrested for DUI and had to spend 10 hours in jail payed $500 fine pluss $200 for court costs but to him $700 is chump change.
Damn yo! this would have gone well with the undertaker beside him... i can see it now the ringmaster with the smoke and dark entrace.. waay better than the ECW theme entrance!!!
You have to remember, he wasn't Stone Cold Steve Austin back then, he was just plain Steve Austin, the million dollar champion and puppet of Ted Dibiase -- he'd only just got out of been called simply 'The Ringmaster' which was off the charts cheesy lol.
@Dessan01 Then again, the whole Stone Cold gimmick was a fluke that just happened to catch on,The Austin 3:16 was just something Steve randomly said after winning the KOTR '96 when he made his coronation speech. The difference being...he wasn't coronated like all the rest.
This was his at the birth of Austin 3:16 at the King of the ring. It suited him until that point, but after 3:16 mania took off, he discarded this for the Glass shatters remix of an old ac/dc song.
I used to love this tune actually - it's basically a loop of a very short piece of music, but it's quite effective - beat walking down the ramp to "Money, Money, Money!!" anyway lol.
This theme is awesome. And for the folks who said it doesn't fit Austin, you're right. This was The Ringmaster's theme... completely different from the beer-swilling badass that you all mark for. :p
IIRC, this was used while he was Stone Cold too. I remember them playing this when he made his now infamous Austin 3:16 speech after he won King of the Ring.

@TalkyTiki It's possible the WWF would have ceased to exist had that happened.Even as it was, they almost did, until Vinnie Mac realized he needed to get with the modern day.
I'm not sure anything would have fit Austin when he came in as The Ringmaster. He was so generically heelish because he was supposed to be a wrestling machine or something... he didn't get to show his personality until Ted Dibiase left the WWF and they gave him free reign to define himself.
