STEROIDS people come on, is the same reason we lost so many other wrestlers so young. they all think they own the world when they are all doped up wrestling will no longer exist very shorty only the real sport wrestling will b around not the entertainment part
The thing I don't get is the alleged pressure put on Renegade. I get that it was a dead-end gimmick, since he was just a random wrestler they threw some face paint and tassles on. The fans didn't take him seriously enough to despise him and haunt him wherever he went. They were mostly just indifferent. So he turned into a JTTS, like a million other guys.No reason he couldn't be repackaged or have a career in the indies.There must have been lots more going wrong for the guy to kill himself.
@20tiger Warrior himself was funny talking about renegade in his shoot. He lol'ed at the idea Hogan thought UW would be so offended that he'd sign with WCW just to avenge himself. And also, his direct quote on Hogan bringing UW in just to get back a win in a scripted sport was "Isn't he SICK?"
Hogan was saying we have the ultimate surprise and it turned out to be this guy. Flair said in his book that Hogan was always mad about losing to the warrior and some how was going to make this guy the next Warrior and bet him and some how that would have avenged that lose.
I didn't remember his theme was a Warrior rip-off, too. Poor guy, a gimmick like that is pretty much doomed to go nowhere. Imagine TNA would give, say, Eric Young a Cena gimmick!
@runnersdialzero333 FYFI, An alter ego is a second version of someone, More like a "second self". Which means That The Renegade is a second version of The Ultimate Warrior.
@HBK100087 No mate. The "second version" definition of alter ego refers to a second version or alternate persona of the SAME person. For instance, "Superman" is an alter ego of Clark Kent. Rick/Renegade is most certainly NOT an alter ego of Jim/Warrior. Oh and by the way, if the second F in "FYFI" is what I think it means, it's ludicrously over-aggressive and it you plan to use it again, you'd be best off making sure you're actually correct in what you're saying.
@WackbagChaos Jimmy Hart didn't create the Ultimate Warrior's theme, which is called unstable, Jim Johnson did and this, much like the whole Renegade gimmick, was a VERY poor rip-off of it.
@Musiclover19 Actually "Unstable" is the title for the looped version heard on the WWE Anthology CD....the original title for the song is "Warrior Wildfire" (As it was listed on the WWF Fan Club Tape Volume 1) I've seen Jimmy Hart credited for it as well as Jim Johnston.

This sounds different from the theme I've heard in his matches. For example, against Arn Anderson.

The original riff for the Ultimate Warrior's theme was stolen from a band called Holocaust, the song name : The Nightcomers.
tommygrenierbeland 9 months ago
@tommygrenierbeland
A silly observation. The main riff is just open notes, that is where the similarities end.
-Millions of hard rock songs use the same technique. Hence why it is known as a 'generic rock riff'.
To call any open note strum 'a rip-off' of anything else, is pretty stupid.
