This is a wonderful video. I would like to learn to play the song. I preferred the movie versions of the songs. The natural and seemingly spontaneous performances were better than the polished studio versions IMO and I immediately noticed and disliked the stepped up keys of the album versions. Irglova's voice was much prettier and sexier in the movie's key.

he does go an octive higher. its just that he doesn't play it in "C." Although some of the other parts are wayyyyyyy different that i play it. regardless of the change in key

Well, it's the key from the movie. It would sound in-tune with the film, but not with the album.

I'd call it the "wrong key", but then they dubbed in the wrong key for the movie. Who knows why.

the reason you arent hitting all the notes is that you are in the wrong key, the song is in C major, it looks like your playing a full step below that

It's a different key on the CD, not in the movie. They say they're playing it in C, but they're playing in B... find the movie clip on YouTube. ;)

hey that's really good. when you play the left hand A flat, E flat, A flat for the second time i dont think its suppose to be there because it only plays that particular bit once in the actual song in each verse. sorry its hard to explain. :) great playing though and good tut.

Wrong, actually! They *say* they're performing it in C, but they're not, which you'll notice if you play this side-by-side with the audio of the original. =) A silly slip-up in the (otherwise perfect) movie.

I'm afraid I agree with itinkle. The original song is in C in both my DVD of the movie and the CD soundtrack. But he's right too, it does sound nice and warm a half-step lower in B. Great job!
