Interesting. I didn't think anyone was still making 78 rpm singles in 1958. The 45 rpm singles with the big holes for a wide spindle had already been the standard for at least half a decade.

@roundtheblock1 RCA Victor introduced the 45 in 1949 but it didn't really catch on until the mid 1950s. But the 78 didn't give way easily. In rock-n-roll, the 45 ruled but 78s were available in the USA as late as 1959. In some countries, the 78 was available as late as 1964!

This Rules! My parents had it on an ex-jukebox 7" vinyl with all the same pops and scratches, takes me back to Sunday mornings when we were allowed to put all the oldies on the record player. Fantastic.
