  • Elvis did this later, his voice is different, must be Conway.

  • Nostalgi för mig. Detta var den första skiva jag köpte efter jag hört den på RADIO LUXEMBURG.

    Toppen Janne

  • Absolutely the best version of this song ever. Classic.

  • I love this song , my sisters used to make me dance with them to this song..i was 7 ..good times and good memorys

  • Such a great song. I'm just a young buck, but amazing, heart felt, touching, classic music never dies. Strong work Mr. Conway Twitty.

  • Great music indeed. It does my heart good knowing that there are other people still enjoying this music as much as I do.

  • That was the most beautiful rendition ever! Than you so very much <3

  • GREAT MUSIC a real song by a great singer.

  • Biking back from the grocery store, backpack filled to the brim with leafy greens and fruit. This song pops into my head. I am smitten.

  • twitty rocks

  • I know it by this version. Perfect Twitty.

  • Interesting. I didn't think anyone was still making 78 rpm singles in 1958. The 45 rpm singles with the big holes for a wide spindle had already been the standard for at least half a decade.

  • @roundtheblock1 RCA Victor introduced the 45 in 1949 but it didn't really catch on until the mid 1950s. But the 78 didn't give way easily. In rock-n-roll, the 45 ruled but 78s were available in the USA as late as 1959. In some countries, the 78 was available as late as 1964!

  • The way music should be played.

  • Reminds me of my older brothers in the 60's. It was for real, Lawndale Calif. YESS.

  • Is there a better singer, ever, than on this song? I think not. Operatic and emotionally filled.

  • i grew up on great old songs like this i can honestly say that they truely don't makem like this at all. thanks for posting the good stuff. i just love the oldies but goodies

  • The REAL version. Fantastic! Thankyou.

  • when it comes to rock vocals this is up there.only Roy could do more.

  • This is a great song and I was one of the teenagers in 1958 who thought this was Elvis.

  • identical intro to Roy Orbisons in dreams

  • Thanks for the interesting info in your description!

  • one of the great pieces of music that should be revived every year

  • Great recording. My husband has this single and I have it on an album by a local radio station. He was great!

  • The best version on YT, thank you!!!!!

  • I just hate that Conway died in hospital near me in Springfield Mo

  • man what a nice copy!i love this!

  • Makes every hair on the back of my neck stand up every time I hear it!

    Great old record player, too.:)

  • WHAT A GREAT RECORDING!!!

  • One of the reasons 1958 rules This song can't be beat And this is the version, none of these 20 years later live versions The one and only

  • love it

  • awesome

  • thanks...plus a smile.

  • its an awesome song

  • I love this song.

  • My favourite recording.. BY FAR!

  • The One, the Only Conway Twitty. Thanks for the memories. June, my first and last love. Here,s to the next world.

  • Conway all the way

  • It sounds great, but I sort of remember hearing the piano more clearly, maybe that's the way the 78 just sounds. Still, it's a great musical contribution. Curious that so many songs are just dashed off as the inspiration comes, and it can be a loooong time between inspirations. This one's a keeper, fer sure! Thanx!

  • kicks elvis ass and he actually wrote songs

  • WHOA! I have this scratched original single. Great job. NO scratches...well maybe

    a small one. Thank you

    JosephObe

  • if you dislike this f*** you. im only 17 and i think this is an awesome song

  • LOVE THIS VERSION

  • if you dislike this stick needles in your ears this is good Conway twitty i am 20 and i like this THIS IS MUSIC

  • Finally found the REAL version. Great! Love it.

  • A true classic song ... covered by so many artists, and most versions are not bad because the song itself is so great ... but no-one comes close to Conway ... I never tire of listening to him sing it. ... Wayne

  • exellent upload. Favorited!

  • this is a fantastic song! growing up, i only knew Conway Twitty because of Family Guy, lol! but now that i've discovered this song, i realize he's actually a great artist. Rockabill forever!

  • I love his music. He is very talented. I love my cousin so much. This song is so amazing.

  • wore this out as a young lad, ( always thought this was the orig) one of me moms favs, bless>

  • Finally, somebody with the best recording, must delete the other imposters

  • What a good sounding record, its amazing that these records hold up all these years. It just goes to prove that the record companys knew how to make qulity vinyl that would last a lifetime. Thank You for the song.

  • Good sound quality!!!

  • I simply love this song. I wish i had a £ for every time i have played it.From the time when music was new and exciting.

  • @pabrich0 Me too Pabrich..I wore it out xx Glenda-Marie

  • This Rules! My parents had it on an ex-jukebox 7" vinyl with all the same pops and scratches, takes me back to Sunday mornings when we were allowed to put all the oldies on the record player. Fantastic.

  • No other version is as good as the original. The sadness and desperation for what might have been is all there and the arrangement, piano, backup vocals are sublime. A timeless tale of love lost.

  • Takes me back.. Thank you

  • I love this, I want the 78 of this but haven't gotten a copy yet! Nice post!

  • I've never heard this on 78 before, and the sound quality is great with full fidelity, and no filtering.
