I didn't want to assume that he was blind because of the sunglasses. Is he blind? He plays great! In ten years he'll be able to assume the Hendrix mantle. Sometimes I wish that I were blind so that I could have to depend more on my sense of hearing, which would in turn probably make me a better musician, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Jose Feliciano, Blind Lemon Jefferson, The 5 Blind Boys. . .

I don't think it was SRV's plan to imitate Hendirx, he was just a fan but when he played Hendrix songs, it never Sounded like Hendrix but like SRV. Everyone could hear strong differences in the style of playing between Hendrix and SRV. He never tried to copy!

Nice. I haven't heard anyone even attempting to play this from Hendrix's woodstock recording. The tone is a close copy too with the "sadness" of the notes there. Few people on earth can match the original of course.
