Yeah, If Craig where to replace Letterman he wouldn't be able to say a lot of things! He probably wouldn't be able to keep Geoff on the show. So just be happy where he is!
I used to be obsessed with Letterman. Then I discovered Ferguson. I tell you, I love that man so much. He is so bloody hilarious and sexy and I just adore him. Nobody compares. Really.
Actually, no. They both are American television hosts of Westinghouse Electric renamed CBS Corporation in 1997, and their boss is Leslie Moonves, Chairman of CBS (who is a guy, btw).
Letterman, unlike Ferguson, is a producer as well. His company Worldwide Pants produces Ferguson's late show, but since the buyer of both late shows is CBS, technically CBS is the boss.
Except that Ferguson tears his notes every episode. Which kind of makes him his own boss.
@OperaNotes Actually, yes and no. Craig Ferguson's employer is Worldwide Pants, which is Letterman's production company. They answer to the network, but the company name on the W2, so to speak, is Worldwide Pants.
Yea, which is, I think, exactly what I said except with a different choice of words. Either way, both the production company and the network give Ferguson a lot of freedom because he is awesome. ;)
@OperaNotes It's not at all what you said. You said that thenews1990 was wrong when, in reality, he was exactly right. It doesn't matter what broadcasting company he sells his shows to; Letterman's still Ferguson's "boss".
@ForceEight I wish you read the entire discussion between jeibear and me. Besides, I am pretty sure TheNews1990 used the word "boss" not in the literal context but in a way of expressing his opinion that Letterman "owns" Ferguson, in other words, surpasses him in awesomeness. But then I took the liberty of acting like his comment was literal and cut it down in analysis when jeibear appeared with counterarguments to which I subtly agreed he was right (without admitting I was wrong). Savvy? ;)
i'm glad he shows this late. it gives him more freedom. craig apparently has a problem with certain types of authority, so im happy he doesn't have much of that in his time slot. besides, if the late late show doesn't have craig ferguson, it's NOT the late late show.
@funnylozr Craig is probably the first host I can honestly say that I hope he DOESN'T get the 11:30 time slot because I'm afraid he would be forced to water down the show.
@mark92577 THANK YOU! I thought I was the only person who thought that.
Don't get me wrong, I love Craig Ferguson but I don't he could do a show at 11:30. But the only question is, who could replace Letterman if he retires?
@simpsonsfan89 Well, even though Conan SAYS he's happy at TBS, something tells me that If he's given the chance to go head to head with Leno in the ratings, he's not going to say no.
*This show is so damn good it aughta be on tv!" that was probably the funniest thing i ever heard Letterman say---Ferguson(HOTT!) is always funny though!!
late done right on cbs for SURE. now that they have discovered the best MAN ON TV. CRAIG FERGUSON. now only if they bumped him up to an earlier time slot, i would name cbs the smartest network on tv.
