Music is just as good today as it was back then, you know why you look on these songs a lot more fondly? Pure Nostalgia, people just love the way things were, and old songs make them feel younger, take them back to better times, make them feel feelings of a time that was less complex. People felt the same nostalgia back then, and they will in the future over today's songs. If you honestly cannot find good music today? You don't deserve it because you aren't looking.

It's just because there's such a rift between them both because people now automatically assume if it's commercial it's bad, too much generalization happens from uneducated folk, the mantra has become "it's on the radio, it rocks, i've never heard of it, it must be great/ It's old, it's cool to like, it's new and loved by teens it certainly cannot be loved by me" P.S.(hell yes to the death metal)
