  • @spennylovesleeds You were born 23. 10. 1992? Me too!! :)

  • And when we shoot for the stars ..

  • Well at least the new basely commercial version makes me appreciate the honesty and originality of this rather touching song.

  • aah the memories of this tune :)

  • This song is basically leftist claptrap - "Did we fly to the moon too soon?" NO WAY. We need something to strive for, poverty is insoluble.

  • @theprivateer83

There's a thing called metaphor and it is not a small furry animal.

I bet the only poetry you've ever read are poems taught in the kindergarten...

  • one of my faves to this day; first heard this a good 18 years ago..

  • A song's stark beauty can reach in and touch every single cell of your body and draw to the surface a range of unbridled emotion reducing you to tears, as though being touched by and angel. This is such a song.

  • @sargentstephens45 omg thats beutiful

  • Нещо старо, но много готЕно :)

  • this was number 1 when i was born

  • such like songs are adding impetous to my sci fi thriller book, ...I am drawing a generation/space platform/starship for graphics...bugger me if its not too involved already....but its the engine that is the key and I would like her to work too...gotta be antimatter from Saturns moons/maybe not...have the shield too...that could have been thought up by an 8 yr old. Avatar is fair imagination but outside the plausible boundaries of science? *see neutrino race vrs a photon...things just got weird!

  • it's one of songs which I listened to when I was little boy :) '90 4ever!

  • i think it's good the music is shit now. it makes me feel special we had it right. :)

  • Loved it <3 Kellie

  • saw Tasmin on a promotional tour ina bar way way back before this was released. only about 20 people there. i was too embarrased to ask for her autograph. loved her ever since! this is a class song...

  • never knew oprah sang

  • Burcu Güneş - Sleeping Satellite very good number one

  • It takes me back. Very emotive song which reminds me so much of my murdered cousin! Killed just for his car. Precious guy and precious soul. Gone but not to be forgotten till we meet again in God's abode dear Philip Amobi!

  • Check out the cover of this song by karnivool..its is awesome!!!

    Karnivool - Sleeping Satellite

  • Really really great song! brings back good memories when I was flying with KLM they used to play it as their boarding music :)

  • I get waves of nostalgia when listening to certain songs from the 90s, this being one of them, good memories, good song.

  • @barrymoped1 Im the same,i think cos 90s reminds me of my childhood, and music was great back then

  • wow i still listen to this song my wife still sings it what a voice xx

  • IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII lllllllllloooooooooooovvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeee tttttttttttthhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiissssssss sssssssssssooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what a beautiful song and voice

  • Still gives me the shivers!

  • blame who ?

  • Everyone keep complaining about the new music. Who cares? This transition is normal between generations. I also enjoyed the 90's a lot but music changes, everything changes. Let's move on.

  • @MatthewUNS2 akon is better than gaga

  • this reminds me of my childhood... of getting ready for scholl and wanting to be DEAD.

  • tasmin archer badger lol

  • Boy, do I miss the 90's.

  • wow!! i remember this! awesome! <3

  • im love thiis song1

  • Thumbs up for rotating chair!

  • It's great! Great memmories too of early '90s. And by the way Kumamaroll, soinning is what defines a sattelite :-)

  • As much as I love this song, I can't help but grinning at so much spinning.

  • tolles lied tolle stimme .....

  • A beautiful song.

  • love this :)

  • Try Kim Wilde's new version, its a great cover of a great song

  • @myheadhurtss Deal with it, this was in the 90s, before plastic surgery was a must.

  • @Tamarindosify I wouldn't say that today's plastig surgery is a must. It's just that many so called "artist" are making clips after this plastic thing to cover the crappy "music", but some time ago wasn't plastic nessecary because what we heard was entertaining and interesting music. Imo.

  • I love it!!!!!!

  • This song is so beautiful! There's no comparison with the music from nowadays.

I agree totaly with on2gr0und's opinion! But some songs these days are beautiful

like the 70's, 80's and 90's. For example songs from Gypsy & The Cat or Hurts.

  • A one-hit wonder. Great song and performance.

  • Reminds me on times of my childhood

  • unfortunately i havent lived during the 90s..today music is not what is was once

  • Once upon a time when I had fun in school and music was great ...

  • Tasmin Archer sure has a great voice. I remember buying this on 'cassingle' (single song on a cassette tape). I really thought she would take off, but not to be.

  • What a great song! Timeless!

  • Kim wilde just hasn't got a clean enough voice for this. sorry, i love Kim wilde n all, but she just can't pull it off.

  • Karnivool owned this song!!!!

  • Kim Wilde just did a remake Tasmin's "Sleepin Satitlite" its on Youtube, Tasmin is great but Kim's version is just Fantastic

  • @Jrabc12 it was pretty horrible, my firefox even crashed within 2 mins of the song

  • Un tube en France aussi dans les années 80 je crois.

    Génial, merci .

    5 stars.

  • Such a huge success in the 90's.Good voice, good melody, good lyrics!I'm so glad I was a teen in this decade. An artist like Tasmin Archer could never get signed nowadays since strippers have replaced singers!

  • @Thebraids Very well said !

  • Ropey Fringe Tasmin.

  • Does anyone else think she looks exactly like the commissioner from Where in the world is Carmen San Diego?

  • Music is just as good today as it was back then, you know why you look on these songs a lot more fondly? Pure Nostalgia, people just love the way things were, and old songs make them feel younger, take them back to better times, make them feel feelings of a time that was less complex. People felt the same nostalgia back then, and they will in the future over today's songs. If you honestly cannot find good music today? You don't deserve it because you aren't looking.

  • @gooched, or you're looking in the wrong place. There's loads of good music out there (thank God for Scandinavian death metal!), why I'll bet there's even some decent pop/rock out there somewhere.

  • @SgtCrom Theres A LOT of good pop and rock out there, both commerical and indie. It's just because there's such a rift between them both because people now automatically assume if it's commercial it's bad, too much generalization happens from uneducated folk, the mantra has become "it's on the radio, it rocks, i've never heard of it, it must be great/ It's old, it's cool to like, it's new and loved by teens it certainly cannot be loved by me" P.S.(hell yes to the death metal)

  • @gooched Well said!!

  • @gooched spot on.

  • @gooched You're so wrong it's mindboggling.

  • @dodatroda You know what is mindboggling? The audacity and trollish nature of people who tell others they are wrong...without even providing anything remotely resembling a counterargument. So pray tell, tell me what you know that I have clearly missed.

  • I heard this song in England at age 16 and have liked it since.

  • Loving this song!

  • What a voice!

  • Sehr schön!!!!

  • Wonderful !!!!

  • She likes to turn rounds doesnt she..? anyway great song.

  • I LOVED Tasmin's album and I always was hoping she would hit it BIG and just keeping making more and more music! This song is AWESOME!

  • Just heard this song on tv other day, used to hear it all the time when i was a child, pretty awesome song

  • one of my fave songs from the 90's.

i loved that she wasn't at all what you expected upon hearing or seeing her.

she had many albums, but none ever took off.

she has done a lot of great song-writing, but these lyrics, although simple, are my favorite.

  • brilliant

  • I've loved this song ever since I heard it on a Triple J Hottest 100 album many moons ago -never seen the clip -for some reason I always thought she was a white singer! Great song and singer :)

  • The little blonde kid is soooooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I'm probably only saying that because I'm blonde... :P

  • Awesome tune! Love it! <3

  • beautiful song!!brings back so many memories....almost forgot about this one ,,,
