Maybe the crowd was so lame cause they were there from 2:00 pm until 10 pm waiting to see DM eventually play 5 songs. Also watching any one practice the same intro to the same 2 songs 50 bazillion times in a row will make anyone less excited. This was a staged studio audience folks. Very fun, Very cool but NOT REAL. No, DM's version is better usually but this sounds weird and is different than the album or even usually in concert. Martin is singer more and Dave sounds hoarse. Wasn't this right before his surgery in May? They sounded MUCH better a couple nights ago and rocked the house.

I love Depeche Mode. I think the only issue I have with these performances is that they are missing the excitement. I know they're in their 40s, but, if you look at performances from Touring the Angel, they're still just as thrilling as their One Night in Paris, Devotional, and 101 performances. I miss that in these videos.

I like the new album a lot, all of their songs are rad. My fav. song on that album is in sympathy. It almost sounds like a trance sound to it. I can see Dj Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, BT, or other awesome trance DJ's remixing this song.
