(sorry accidentally pressed enter, stupid iPad) existence that I'm not aware of? Is it because religion is believed by more people? Because of individuals experiences? WHAT?
@absolutelynever there is zero evidence for a god astrology is making predictions from the damn stars how does that make any sense religion closes your mind and physics is a constantly changing subject with new evidence for different things everyday
This has absolutely nothing to do with God, or spirituality. This is imagined and God isn't. This is a trick. God isn't a trick of the imagination. Any image of God isn't God. Don't equate this kind of thing with God, as Dawkins loves to do.
@334286 Differentiate it. An assumption based on what we might like to be true or have been told since birth. This could describe either belief in god/s or any of these other spiritual/superstitious beliefs. How are they different?
@Pudabudigada You know when something is real and when something is false. Just as when you can see and measure something physical for real, you can tell truth from lies if you're awake and aware.
@334286 That's a lot of words to say nothing. If I make the statement "Right now, David Cameron is discoing", I have no way of knowing if it is true or not without breaking into No. 10 and checking, i.e: finding evidence. The same is true of any claim, be it the leisure activities of politicians, the ability to find water with tent pegs, or the existence or not of a universal overlord. All these need evidence, and without it, no matter how much we claim truth, there is no reason to believe them.

How is religion any better than psychics, or astrology? I'm genuinely interested. Is there more evidence for gods
