I met Toby and Mia at a show that Kayo Dot did with Mouth of the Architect. Toby was such a nice dude and Mia...well I must admit to being a bit taken with her.
I met the band at a show too, I remember Mia asking me what a salt potato was and how it got salted, i made up some bullshit to sound smart but then admitted i was making it up. I got to play pool with toby and terran too, toby won but we all sucked.. Then mia showed us a picture of a fish with teeth and we were a bit disturbed haha. By the time i was finally convinced that Toby was just a normal guy, it was their turn to play music and i remembered that he is a brilliant mastermind
Toby Driver is the shit. I love his vision on music, and his theory on how it comes to be. Something like "all art pre-exists in the universe, and the artist is merely a channel or vessel which the universe uses to share this art with us"
