Poor Anne, it broked my heart seeing you crying, it was not your fault, you were forced by the ambition of your tyrant father...this scene makes me cries too.....
@IcelolliVP. Exactly there were times, when I didn't like her, but I would be a monster to say she and the others deserved all this, because she and they did not. Burn in Hell Henry and all who helped him.
even though Anne (like all of us) made her mistakes...she is the bravest woman in history by far...she watched her life crumble before her and still smiled....even though you may not like her..you have to give her the respect she rightly deserves and I defy you to walk to your death willingly and calmly.
By all means, daddy Boleyn, sit there like a stump while your kids are suffering. wouldn't want something trivial like your son's death to interrupt your reading there.
Very emotional, this scene. My heart goes out to Anne. She was innocent and so were all the others. The combination of Mark's 'Sad Violin' music and Sir Thomas Wyatt's 'These Bloody Days' poem is perfect and gives this scene the right feel.
R.I.P to Anne Boleyn, the men in this scene who were executed, and all other victims of the tyrant King Henry VIII!
No matter what your opinion of any movie or show about Anne i feel that all of them are amazing and tell the story of a great tragedy in history all thanks to a selfish greedy pig of a king, and we all know he is burning in hell while the women are all laughing at him
o my god , i now realize that king just murder its queen by making a fake reason bec he wanted to marry another woman , what a shit king that is , sucks !

This part is probably the saddest part off all. Natalie Dormers acting here is excellent, When she cries for her brother you can actually feel her pain. Also the shooting of this part is really good. The flashbacks of the crowd and of her dragging the chest up to the window works really well.
@meers5 In trash such as "The Other Boleyn Girl", yes -- in actual history, no. Comments like this break my heart. :( Please, do yourself a favor and read an actual biography about Anne. She was an unbelievably intelligent, strong, unique woman, who LOVED her husband and cared deeply about her people. She was innocent of all charges against her, and murdered anyway -- HENRY'S greed and incompetence, not hers. Ugh...
@11Juliet im commenting on "Anne Boleyn" from the show, not historically. I actually have read a lot about her. The way they portrayed her on the show wasn't historically factual. I mean, a lot of it was, but a lot was wrong. For example, her and Henry werent sexually involved until after marriage, and she never suggested to Henry that he kill Katherine and Mary. I guess I should have said I dont feel sorry for this character.
@meers5 Ah, got it. :) Sorry, it's just that it's been my experience that most people have no idea who the real Anne was, and accept extreme defamations of her character as fact, which makes me really sad. :( But just talking character, yes, I understand what you meant! Though I do still disagree, because I did feel bad for her on the show. She could definitely be a fiery bitch, but she was innocent of the charges against her -- I don't think she deserved to be executed.
@meers5 Though also, I was definitely biased by that point because of A) my fascination with the real Anne Boleyn and B) even more, my adoration for Natalie Dormer's portrayal of her -- she's a wonderful actress! And, love or hate show's version of Anne, she was SO charismatic and full of life -- the show just wasn't the same without her.
That actress bears no likeness to Ann Boleyn at ALL. Even when youthful she wasn't that great-looking. At the time of her death she had a thin, pinched face, and although only in her thirties she looked old.
I honestly give a crap about how good any king or queen have been because as we see now these days the world is pretty much a hell and craphole xD past affects the future but even the good past can be hells future :P
In fact he took all the power and the gold. The poor people just couldn't eat and a lot of them died. He didn't care about his people. He didn't care about anybody but himself. And when some people expressed their pain, he just made them executed with torture.
@HeathStudios I'm not sure I understand your sentence. Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI death ( 1793) end of the "Lumières" century. Henry VIII : Renaissance. During the Renaissance it was hard to think about Republic even if Cromwell bring a kind of tyranical republic about a century after.
I suddenly feel lucky to be born in this era - :/

I think Mary Boleyn was the smartest member of the Boleyn Family because of what happened to her sister and her brother and her father.
