yeah dude I had magnaflow on my 2001 v6 mustang also and it sucked, worst 500 bucks ive ever spent, got the flowmaster 40's put in with true duals for 300 and its wayyyyyy louder, also have bbk headers on it too

5.0s were never in the New Edge body. They were in the older SN95 build (94-95 for 5.0s) but, not the New Edge (99-04)

new edges are built on the same platform. Just the sheet metal of the body was changed. Many classic mustang engines are easily swapped into them. Just search the engine and I am sure you can find lots of info on swaps.

The GT has more power and weighs more. You are oversimplifying the question and ignoring costs like tax, title and financing. Another aspect of perspective is the goal being sought.

If your goal is to be the fastest then you need a Bugati - and $1.5 million to pay for it

If you want to win drag races you'll be doing that in a car that isn't street legal

If you want to get the chicks then you need a stock BMW or Mercedes - women want status
