Very cool. I like that you're picking it. At your age, most kids are still learning chord shapes, and I found in anything, not just guitar, the best way to really learn something is to teach it. You're forced to learn it right or the students will tell you it's wrong. So keep doing what you're doing and practice every single day without exception. Good luck!!!

That's not how it's played. It requires a capo at the 7th fret. Since it is in the key of Bm, as you correctly stated, your first chord with the capo at the 7th fret will be in the shape of an first-position Em; the second chord will be in the shape of a first-position B7, etc.

@Preirin -- The best way to deal with haters is to turn in a good performance, which this guy is apparently unable to do. mrsoccer set himself up as a teacher. He's not doing his prospective students any favors by teaching them the wrong approach to this song. Neither are you doing him a favor to refer to his critics as "haters." There is a difference, you know. Critics can be very useful. They helped me immensely in my guitar studies. By the way, every guitarist is a guitar student.

You've got the process reversed. Critics can be very helpful. I know, because they've helped me a lot in my guitar journey. Get some humility in your personality. No one knows it all. Until you do, maybe you should thank people who give you honest criticism.

Wow! Thats not even how you play it. first of all the song is played in the lower frets second you need to capo the seventh fret.

@mackiemachine3 -- It's how the song is played. Capo at the 7th fret, using an Em 1st-position chord shape. The second chord is a B7 1st-position chord shape.  That makes the first two chords Bm and F#7. It's how the Eagles played the song. Not everyone will have a 12-string guitar and a Leslie speaker cabinet, the way the Eagles did, but you can at least play it correctly in the Em shape. You can't play it correctly playing the Bm shape.
