wow... this was one-sided in so many ways. it demonizes religion, and shows the ignorance of atheism. a real christian is open to understanding, and practices theocracy. God made everything yeah, guided evolution, and made all matter. prayer is not a waste of time. religion gives hope to people who need it, and religion is vital to our society as the teachings of our forefathers. to discredit religion is a step back to Nazism, as anti-religious propaganda is the same as Hitler's Nazi regime.
@waterdragon1908 "er"...yeah, I do rest on the weekend because because I'm not a make believe character that people say is all powerful. All powerful should imply there is no need for rest. As an ex-catholic, I can point out the contradiction. If this invisible man needed rest then one must be forced to admit it means this god wouldn't be all powerful and can't do everything.
God rested on the seventh day because he was very tired. The all powerful, can do anything, christian god... got tired...doesn't seem all powerful after all does it.
I can understand why some people would need Christianity just to deal with the idea of death (it isn't easy for many people to grasp/accept the concept of nonexistence after death), but I don't understand why they think they need to make everyone else's lives miserable if they do not think the same way (not that ALL Christians do, but clearly this is the case for the majority).
PS Sorry for spamming the wall everyone, it didn't appear to be posting so I kept doing it, that's why my message appears like 10 times. Sorry about that guys. My bad.
@MrElliotegg. The only explanation I heard of was Chemical Predestination. And the scientist who wrote the book on it, eventually became a supporter of intelligent design, because while he believed he had a semi plausible explanation for the cell itself, he couldnt explain the first DNA. Which is my main point. The whole alien thing was just to highlight the bind scientist r in with the cell, that there willing to even listen to such wacky ideas
But that doesn't provide an answer, it just extends the question, cos then u would ask, how did life start on the aliens planet, and were back where we started from again.
@MartianManhunter187 there is plausable theories to how the first organism appeared, no mainstream theories involve aliens bringing cells to the earth
This is actually why some scientist are coming up with whacky theories about space aliens bringing the cell to earth, already fully formed, from another planet. Cos they know that they can't explain the cell appearing by accident, but they don't want to say God either, so they say space aliens.....
And so far, noone has even attempted to tackle that one. So if someone can come up with an answer to that, I'd be more than happy to accept it, and atheism along with it. But I refuse to overlook such a major whole in the theory of 'accidental life'....
The science of the single cell poses a long list of problems for atheists. The biggest being the first ever cell to be produced, from which all life is said to have evolved. Not only do u have to explain how the cell itself came about by accident (in itself a mammoth task) but u also have to explain how the first ever chain of DNA in that cell came about by accident....

To say there DEFINITELY is or isn't a God seems foolish to me... but whatever. My personal philosophy is: Live your own life the best way that you can and be happy regardless of what anyone else believes, make your own choices and don't force your ideas on anyone, tell them what makes you feel happy and fulfilled so that they may also be good and well but don't be incessant about it, anything worth believing in is worth questioning, and knowledge is the true path to enlightenment.
Atheists can live well without weeklings and idiots going on crusades to convert all others. Throwing science out the window and today blocking the advances of medicine.
We're not out to argue that which we know for a fact to be true - Science. We don't look to have these arguments, but religious idiots hit us in the face often enough with their dogma and beliefs that a response is required. You have to have a low IQ to deny all that you see before you as nature and science and believe in gods.
knucks360, Thanks for the response... I think that you are trying to mince words. You have changed the active meaning of the word which literally means in the Greek, "No God" to a passive meaning of not having a belief in God. The end result is the same. Arguing over the meaning of a word is the least of the Atheist’s problems. Their entire life is a logical contradiction. They can’t function in this life unless they first assume the Theist’s worldview to be true.
@Ujammer2010 Ujammer, you are so right! It is difficult for anyone to function in this world unless they first assume that the person with whom they are arguing has a worldview which comprises their reality. We are people of often strong beliefs and principles, and once we begin to respect and understand that, then, and only then, can we communicate effectively with one another.
Atheists say that there is no God. You can’t say that unless you know everything about the universe and beyond making you omniscient. You’re not that smart. You would also have to be everywhere at the same time making you omnipresent. God could be in LA and you could be looking in Dallas. You would also have to be all powerful (omnipotent) to be omniscient and omnipresent. In other words you would have to be God. So logically it is impossible to be an atheist because you would deny yourself.
As an open Atheist, I'd just like to say, if I'm going to hell. Hell better be ready to take me on.
I will do nothing to argue my case as an Atheist/Agnostic. Nor will I tell Christians to not be able to live their religion freely. It's only these two things that made me mad "Do not recognize homosexuals as actual people and repress women."
I'm sorry. We live in the 21st century. If your're still sexist and homophobic, all I can say is, good luck.
@Gman052488 Strong atheism (God definitively does not exist) presupposes knowledge of the metaphysical. Soft atheism is ok, saying you don't believe in God even though you're not 100% sure. I would argue that even soft atheism is unwise given our limited knowledge and given that we should not hold beliefs without a strong foundation.
@ElJefer I don't know any Atheist that would say they know with 100% certainty. Anything is possible, but we're dealing with what is likely. And without any evidence gods are just as likely to be real as leprechauns and fairies.
even though i appreciate the idea of producing artificial voices for animated content, i agree that voice synthesis is simply not yet advanced enough to produce satisfying results (not even the expensive retail products are convincing), for some reason much unlike today's CGI capabilities.
the only problem i see with this is that a general term is used for a term that is not general because in of itself all that religion is "a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith" faith can be considered as believing which makes it were all people are in a religion of their own but a lot choose to be in a group aka "organized religion"
