  • I have never in my life attempted this so it is going to be very interesting how it turns out. But I have to say this is very educational and all around interesting and I am looking forward to making this dish for my family and friends. Thanks for sharing your recipe!

  • I am from Louisiana and have boiled hundreds of times, and you are the first person that has posted a GREAT boil recipe on youtube. Very similar to my recipe. THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT PROPERLY! Cocktail weenies are my secret weapon also, they are the best.

  • were do u live in mississippi

  • Supper good Video, thank alots

  • @thanhjd Glad you liked it.

  • Do you have to de vein them?

  • @fishjnky Some people do but I never look down. I can eat 3 by the time someone gets one peeled and deveined. :)

  • Why add the ice at the end? doesn't that water down the mix?

  • @coynedogg With the extra spices we put in it it needs a little watering down at times. LOL!

  • @toddpounds

Looks delicious. I all for PETA. People Eating Tastey Animals :)

  • You forgot to catch you're own....

  • @TheRiverraat Yeah I know. I've never tried it but might be something I need to look into.

  • Boilin' some Crawfish this weekend up in Portland, OR. Grew up in Picayune...graduated from Southern Miss. Love it. Thanks for a bit of direction. Do you purge your crawfish with just water or do you add salt like I've seen some do?

  • @jjhcasper I do it both ways. Don't think I can tell the difference between the two.

  • Wow. Some rookie comments on here. The ice is added to stop over-cooking so they can soak up more spices. It doesn't water them down. Sheesh, it's a boil. Ya don't drink it.

Most look dead? They ARE dead. That's what happens after boiling them.

  • I wanna party with you guys... Heee Hawwww

  • @97joepa It's getting that time to start this all over again.

  • Most of them look dead

  • 特别2的吃法!!糟蹋东西...

  • yum!

you forgot to put some pizza in there)

  • Nice video you got there! Could you tell me the recipe for that dipping sause please?

  • That is making me so hungry.

  • Love ya southern style! ya live and eat like us yankee asians (Hmong to be exact). only problem is these damn yankees here despise our way of living and eating, while my southern Navy buds are a match in heaven with us Hmongs! planning on to move down there! Gator, wild boar, squirrels, catfish, crawdaddy's!

  • yum looks good

  • very nice video guys

  • @binhhuynh25 Thank you sir!

  • Howdy from Pass Christian! Was trying to explain this to a Northern friend, then found this so I didn't have to explain.

By the way, love your table - they need to have those at all of the seafood festivals, haha. Looks like a great way to contain the mess. All it needs is a paper towel holder at each corner and it'd be perfect!

  • @LeafytheGreat Glad I could help. You right on the paper towel holder. That might have to be a modification to it this year. :)

  • how much does one sack weigh and price? any better place to get in ga?

  • @chanaxify they weigh between 30 and 40 pounds usually and vary in price from $3.00 to $1.75 a pound. The price is higher at the beginning of the season (early Spring) and decreases towards the end of summer.

  • that looks so delicious!! so jealous...we don't have that here in New Zealand. How often do you guys get to eat crawfish? Is it expensive?

  • @albusfr We get to enjoy them for several months. Usually from Spring to the end of Summer. See price above.

  • looks damn good.

  • @vasia2000 Oh yeah!!

  • The only thing wrong with that table is that it has legs on it. You should have used four beer kegs one on each corner to set your table on. It might be a little low but you just pull a cooler or lawn chair up and would have been perfect. Just have to put long hoses on the keg so they would reach the middle of table from each end,,,and that would be a perfect crawfish table. I am up to speed with shrooms, taters, and corn but never saw the onion and lemons. How does the lemon effect the taste?

  • @Txgomeric It adds a great favor to the boil. You should try it.

  • Mudbug is the slang name for crawfish/crayfish. The ice helps cool them down and speed up the soak process.

  • I live in Boston and appreciate this type of cooking. I want to do this next summer. Seafood is expensive though. What is mudbug? And why ice it down at the end?

  • Man, that sure looks good! Wish we did stuff like that here in Appalachia. Next time I'm down south, I gotta find a place to get in on some of this crawfish action.

  • Them rednecks are close enuff to Louisiana to know what theyre doing only difference is we add budweiser to the boil they add a little weed thats it.

  • AH, more southern accents!

Makes the cooking process of the video more entertaining

    :D

  • you should put the ingrediants and amount in the description! :))

  • I'm really jealous. Over here in Belgium we have crawfish, but too bad our rivers are polluted. Enjoy your meals and eat my share.

  • yum yum yum yummy

  • damm looks so good...... the song was really funny ...eat more crawdad..hahhahaha

  • @2011angelicaramirez Glad you liked it.......and yes they are good.

  • Nice looks so bomb........

  • Good job!!!!!

  • Looks delicious!!!

  • Looks great!

  • wow that looks delicious! we dont have dshes like that up in western canada. jealous

  • Right on!

  • Damn......living here up in New England and no one has even heard of a mudbug.....INSANITY!!!

  • @quanacataug They don't know what they are missing.

  • i know... but i will still eat with yah...

  • The ceawfish looks good but i think that table is dirty... Looks like it the black bag has been lift there for too long...

  • @cheng20001 It's dirty because we had already eaten one batch prior to shooting the video. This was the second batch you saw dumped on the table.

  • @cheng20001 1) Sure the plastic was new when they started you boil more than one pot at a party...at my house about three. They had four bags if you noticed. You eat crawfish at a boil in stages unless you have several pots. Way it works at my house is the first pot is just appetizer and is mildy spiced for the kids and wimps. Everyone stands around and its gone in about 5mins. Then you start batch two and poor on the spice. by the last pot if you start sweating, crying, snotting.

  • God dam that looks good, Invite me down for a meal and I will buy the beer man. Cheers from Canada!!!

  • Man I wish crawfish boils were more popular here in Little Rock. Ya'll do it up right for sure!

  • @bigdavis161 I boiled a sack last weekend and we're gonna do another sack next weekend. We love 'em.

  • Wow that was awesome!!!!

  • @ammohead73 Thanks man.

  • And we just ate over 100lbs last week while we were in Louisiana..Now you and went and posted this here video and makes me wanna come to Mississippi now...Only 6 hours away...So when do we eat... :)

  • @FatAmericanBastard1 Roy, we cook 6 sacks......204 pounds. I think we're cooking again the last weekend of this month.

  • wow great job on the video and the boil. we do one here in sc but we use shrimp.

  • @TheCoroncachannel Love shrimp too. You need to get into the crawfish and try them. They are just as good as shrimp.

  • @MiahCrosby That's ok!

  • Man thats the way to do it, great video.

  • @OilTheGun Thanks!

  • Thats a killer song...Im all about the mud bugs,,Thanks for posting..Now Im hungry again..
