I'd like to point out something. While "Judaism is great and cool" it is not a religion for the Jews alone. The Torah is the source of the monotheistic religion for all nations to function. For a non-Jew to abide by the Torah merely requires that s/he keep the seven noahide laws, not become Jewish. (look up noahide in google for more info)
What it comes down to is purpose. G-d gave us the Torah(and all that the books that come with it) as instructions for living. Our job is to learn and grow from it. The benefit is that it connects us to Hashem(G-d), and brings blessing to the world. The more we learn and practice it, the more blessing we bring :).
Non Jew can also connect to G-d by following the 7 noahide laws
I was reading these comments and am truly inspired by the number of people I see converting to Judaism. Our nation needs more people like you guys. AM YISRAEL CHAI!
can one convert to judaism? if so would a born jew be a higher rank than a converted? if one can convert to judaism(if) can he/she move to israel? or does one have to be a born jew to claim to live in israel?thanks
@alsananick . you are 100% allowed to convert to judaism, however the process can take a few years and involves alot of commitment and dedication to the religion.
@alsananick in answer to your second question, infact a convert to judaism is considered at a 'higher rank' than a someone born into the religion, as they have chosen to follow themselves. the torah states that non-jews are not obliged to follow its rules (other than dont murder etc..) and so if a non-jew converts, it is considered and looked upon very highly, as you have taken on these extra laws yourself.
@alsananick anyone can live in israel, whether you are jewish or not, it is a 'jewish state' however there are many non jews living there. wether or not you decide to convert you are definately 'allowed' to livethere.. (although i do not know about information such as visas and stuff like that)
"I didn't know what Judaism was...I always thought it was bagels and dreidels..." Oh, my friend. How wrong you are. (But that is a good protion of it! LOL). Just kidding. Judaism is such a beautiful, spirit-freeing faith. If only everyone could take the time to understand it...*shrugs*
Mazal Tov!!! I am good friends with some truly incredible people who converted to Judaism, and I consider them a true blessing. You will most likely meet some of the people in this video if you move to Israel, and they are truly inspiring teachers!
I also converted into Jewish peoplehood and being Jewish, and I just want to say you should be very proud of your roots, your routes, and the path you are taking Bismark!!!! Mazal tov!
thinking back to the start of the third reich, jews had a much higher intelligence level than native europeans. Over the years jews were taking over the top jobs and christians went down to the lower jobs. This may have been a reason why Germany adopted socialism, to protect christians who were poorer than jews.
so, hitler was right that judaism was rotting the european culture from the inside out. HE WAS WRONG for persecuting them
Deicide -- a) the Christian Bible says the Romans killed Jesus, though Jews are mentioned as accomplices (claims that Jews killed Jesus came several hundred years later). How come the accomplices are persecuted and there isn't an anti-Roman movement through history?
b) Jesus himself said, "Forgive them [i.e., the Jews], for they know not what they do." The Second Vatican Council in 1963 officially exonerated the Jews as the killers of Jesus. Neither statement of Christian belief lessened anti-Semitism.
I am no religious person (though heavily spiritual), but I have high respect for the Jews. I studied Judaism for quite some time and must say: All this anti-semite propaganda is either through ignorance, misunderstanding, or superstition.
The Talmud contains teachings of the Prophet Moses on how to interpret the Written text of the Torah (we call this the Oral Torah). It also contains teachings of later generations both in legal matters and Jewish Philosophy. So it is very central in Judaism.
This video is wonderful... I am currently studying to be Jewish and this video so easily sums up the basic reasons why Judaism and Torah are such beautiful things!
May all of you continually reach to the Creator and strive for your souls perfection... always!
I have recently come to seriously question the christian religion, however I still believe in God. I wanted to look into Judaism can anybody give me any advice on my current plight.
Yasher koach. May Torah Jews rise into power within the Israeli government, and may the ingathering of our people begin in earnest this year as well. Thank-you for all you do.
How Come there isn't not one Black person in this Video? Are black people aloud to be Jews; this is a question, I'm a Christian and I no very little about Torah! Can some one help me.

Like DrumsNstrings, Judaism is a religion based on wisdom, guidance, understanding, happyness and pleasure. Thats why you see so many Jews who studied the Torah for years, so happy in life.
Watching this video makes me proud of being Jewish!

Isn't the torah the same as the old testament in the bible?
ITSbigwillystyle 11 months ago
@ITSbigwillystyle Sort of... the "old testament" is an inaccurate English translation of the Torah.

@simpletoremember How inaccurate is the English translation of the Old Testament translation of the written Word of God!?

Does any one really follow the Torah today or just a few pieces of it?
I went through Dvarim/Deuteronomy a few days ago and I can't think of any nation or culture that would practice those laws today.

The Jews of 17th- 20th century Poland and Russia were dirt poor, had no influence and yet they were hated.
