Only thing about this movie that isn't addressed is this is actually a victory and achievement for Christ and for us. He was son of the Father, both God and man, and sacrificed himself for all our sins, and gave us eternal life through him. He fulfilled prophecies in the Old Testament (Torah), this was planned out for a long time by God and did so willingly. As horrible as he had to suffer he rose again and will return soon.

I dont understand how atheists clam that humans evolved. I'm not sure I appreciate this movies "We did this to him" rather than "He did this for us" approach. there is that aspect to Christianity, but the characters (particularly Jesus hi self) aren't strong enough to portray that. Jesus comes off as more of a sympathetic empty vessel rather than a real savior, and the rest of them are more or less interchangeable. The cinematography and music are all great, but I wish that weren't the engine pulling this train.

I'm not sure I appreciate this movies "We did this to him" rather than "He did this for us" approach. there is that aspect to Christianity, but the characters (particularly Jesus hi self) aren't strong enough to portray that. Jesus comes off as more of a sympathetic empty vessel rather than a real savior, and the rest of them are more or less interchangeable. The cinematography and music are all great, but I wish that weren't the engine pulling this train.
