  • Okay... I have to take private lessons this year with this guy.

  • Pete Rocks

  • Pete Rox

  • @stratabigband- Thank you very very much for your info.

  • great band - I love that big band sound!

  • Pete says this: "The youtube video I was playing an older rubber otto link with an oleg ligature. Now I'm playing a '60's brass link 6*...the horn is a selmer super balanced action from '51 or 52. The rubber link is also a 6*."

  • goodfried27 - I'll ask Pete and put his answer here.

  • damn pete.

  • Does anyone know what Gallio plays on as far as mouthpiece/reeds etc?

  • hey hes my private lesson teacher too lol yyaaaa go pete.

  • I love petes low notes

  • youbie--Pete is local in Dallas; he's a veteran of the Woody Herman band. I love his playing, too! :)

  • Perhaps a little of a cheezy arrangement but nevertheless performed quite well by the band! Pete Gallio's solo - while in a "stickley business" mode is absolutely flawless in the articulation of his ideas and execution. A very technical player, obviously! Sax players...listen up.

The way this guy plays his ii V's is absolutely teriffic! Is this guy local? He is of extreme maturity and has a very highly

    sophisticated and advanced harmonic conception!

  • @youbiedoobiedoo He's my private lesson teacher

  • Pete Gallio has some amazing skills.
